Abc of High Point

I am in High Point for the furniture market, I live in Texas.
We come to HP twice a year and we shop here a lot, mainly because it’s the only liquor store near by. The group that I travel with is about 25 people total.
Last week my friend and I went to buy a few things and the employee was very pushy for us to buy drink mixers, which we absolutely hate.
We politely declined to buy them, paid for our stuff and left.
Tonight we go again and he AGAIN tried to push us to buy nasty drink mixers, we politely declined AGAIN (same guy) and when it was time to pay for our 4 bottles of different liquors (don’t judge) he said he couldn’t sell to us because we had a TEXAS ID… REALLY? REALLY??? WTF is that about? So if our ID is issued in Texas, somehow we can’t buy liquor? That’s weird, because he did last week, and every bar in town has had no problem with our Texas IDs. Funny rule for a liquor store in a town where 35,000 [eople come from all over the world for the furniture market.
Also, my biggest problem was the mean and almost insulting way he said it. He was just a huge jerk. I would understand if that actually was the law and he explained it nicely, but it’s like he got satisfaction telling us no.
I seriously don’t know what his problem is, but we are both pretty angry and we will just drive a few extra miles to avoid that total douche bag. (White male, about 40 years old)

The folks in this ABC are ALWAYS friendly and helpful. They always have a drink suggestion of the day… I have gotten some good ideas from these little suggestions.
Other than that — it’s the liquor store — where can you go THAT wrong?! lol

This location is terrific. They are in the same complex and vicinity as Harris Teeter so once you leave the grocery store with your mixers you can hit the ABC store.
The folks here are GREAT! There is one man here, he is older, not sure of his name but he is usually always working, so friendly and nice.
The location itself is newer so everything is fresh and clean and the employees take great care of the place.
Come here for your alcohol needs.
