Miami Lakes-Cobb Theaters

I used to go to this movie theater until at some point it was taken by middle schoolers that need some discipline, it’s like no manners were shown to them. I stopped going there because of that reason, I only go there as a last resort. But other than the kids. the area is very nice and it’s extremely beautiful at night when you just want to walk around and «window shop» lol

The theater was ok but I order a pizza and i think the box was softer than the crust of the pizza.

I think this is the best movie theater in Dade County. It is very far from my home, but worth it. It has a great atmosphere and most of the time is not packed.
This theater is in a great location in an outdoor mall. If you don’t like the theater’s food or want something cheaper to eat you have plenty of nearby options.
This theater is clean and there is hardly ever wait lines. The price is fair compared to other theaters I been to.

Cudos. For Jonathan., an attendant at 12 pm cinema 5 who found my purse left and gave it back with a big smile.. Made my day and believing in good people once more!

I like it cause it’s on main St and they have a cold stone right by the theater. Ice cream after the movies is a tradition in our family! The seats are also very comfy lol

Although this movie theater gets packed with tweens and teens on Friday and Saturday nights, this is the perfect theater to watch a movie during the afternoons, especially new releases. It’s always clean and the concession lines are usually properly staffed and fast moving. The theater itself is a little out of date, but the crowds during the day are pretty tame and parking is never a problem. It’s definitely one of the more hassle-​free movie going experiences in South Florida.

Not the best theater, but not the worst, either. I love that it’s conveniently located in Main Street, less than 5 minutes from where I live. There’s plenty of food and shopping options within walking distance. Your typical theater with overpriced drinks and snacks. I hate that the theater chairs don’t allow you to raise the arm rest, but they recline pretty well.

Please Note: I only come to this movie theater during the daytime hours because it is a known fact that at night it gets PACKED with youngsters.
Full service large movie theater that shows the latest movies. Again, I only come here to watch a movie during the daytime when the amount of people here is minimal. Although it looks brand new, it isn’t. This theater is at least 20 years old already. I like the reclining seats.
I didn’t issue them the fifth star because they are ridiculously expensive and parking can be an issue during peak hours. All in all, not a bad movie theater. I will come here to watch a movie before going to the theater in Hialeah closest to me.

My husband and I went during the week to an earlier showing so we didn’t experience all the problems other posters have. The theater was nice, the staff were friendly enough and the seats were comfortable. The temperature and volume inside the theater were appropriate. My main complaint was that walking through the building to our theater there was a strong smell of urine, and not just by the bathrooms. I hope that is not the usual odor of this place.

Great place to see a movie, during the day. I hear at night it’s a different story. But during the day, no problem what so ever. A great time for sure, comfortable chairs, clean bathroom, friendly staff. 4 stars

The movie there is okay, they need to work on the seats and the food selections. It is an okay theater. This is the only one in this area, therefore we went here, but not sure if I will return.

My favorite movie theater near Miramar — Pembroke Pines area. The Regal in West Pembroke have the most uncomfortable seats ever! And Cinemark is always packed so this one wins the prize! It has good seats, is not always too crowded, the popcorn and prizes are good and is located in a great little plaza.

This theatre is located by our house. I usually find myself taking solo movie dates here when the boyfriend is out doing his boy things. I know i sound like a weirdo for going to the movies alone, but I love it. Especially given its location. It’s in a location called Main Street which has an array of small boutique shops and a few good restaurants. I generally like coming here for a Sunday morning matinée. The price is always cheaper and most importantly the crowds are avoided. The theatre is the perfect size, I’ve been coming here ever since I was a little girl, so I have very fond memories of coming here with my mom as a child and watching all of my childhood favorites. The staff is friendly and there’s never any trouble getting tickets. My favorite part about coming to the movies is getting the popcorn and topping it with white cheddar and of course a coke zero to wash it down with. For this trip, I wanted to splurge so I had my usual small popcorn with peanut m&m’s. The day before I saw on buzzfeed «27 life changing ways to eat popcorn» and
Peanut M&Ms was one of the ways, naturally I had to try it. the price for snacks and a soda are what they are. I believe a movie theatre needs to make its money somehow and when I’m there for the experience to relax, I don’t mind paying the movie theatre prices. I mean we are helping the economy right? My experiences every time i come are always on point and beat is never missed. I look forward to my next popcorn treat.

Back at Cobb theater, this time in the afternoon. A bunch of kids skipping school that can’t be any older than 15 at a rated «R» movie. Apparently as I said before anyone can get into any movie here. Yet I am 31 and they ID’d me. This place really needs to get it together.

My local movie theater, I’ve been coming here for several years now. This theater is located in the heart of Miami Lakes. There are several restaurants and shops around. The theater it self is equipped with over 10 cinema rooms and two separate concession stands for refreshments, candy, hot food such as nachos, corn/​hot dogs and best of all POP CORN!!! I’ll take mine with White Cheddar please… There is a small game area for children where you can find your classic first person shooter games, and my favorite Cruisen USA! A movie theater isn’t complete without Cruisen USA and classic first person shooter games. As a child my best memories of the movies are sitting in the driver seat and using the steering wheel to drive that classic Ferrari in the game or crabbing the controller gun and hunting down the enemy.
The movie theater rooms range from Large, Medium and small… The sound and quality is always great and the rooms are always clean before you enter to enjoy your movie. The one drawback about this location but the same can be said about all movie theaters is the under 18 crowd. It can get very busy Friday and Saturday’s but nothing that is not manageable.

Looking for a theater that was playing «Her», a critically acclaimed movie that foreshadows today’s electronic age, at a decent time, the Fandango app brought up this theater, which was only a few miles away from the Sunny Isles/​Aventura area, where I’d had a meal earlier that evening.
First impressions: parking is a pain. Behind the theater, the parking is limited, as there are stores and restaurants here as well, not just the movie theater. We had no choice but to parallel park along Main Street and walk all the way around from the back. The claim by one of the reviewers that there are no kids around is untrue — that was actually what most of the crowd consisted of: teens, tweens and high school seniors all hanging around the parking lot. Inside the theater, it was pretty much the same. Although this was an R-​rated movie, there were some very annoying teens a few seats away and they had come with an older man (brother? uncle? pedophile?) to see the movie. Luckily, they got bored quickly enough and left. Perhaps my friend’s constant «shhh» or my nasty glances did the trick. They would not stop talking, interrupting the movie and giggling, which makes no sense to me. Movies are damn expensive now, coming in at about $ 11 a ticket, so why would you spend that time talking? It’s so much cheaper to just chit chat in a park, parking lot, or some other hangout than to spend all that money and not watch the movie, but I digress…
One of the perks of this theater is the fact the seats can be pushed back. One of the negatives of this theater is the fact the seats can be pushed back. If the person in front of you is tall, you can bet that to not have his knees coming up to his chest and be comfortable, he will be pushing that seat waaaaaaay back. Luckily, I am short, so my knees come nowhere near the back of the seat in front of me, but that was not the case for my friend, who is about 5’11″ and had the back of the seat in front of him almost touching his knees. Brought back memories of the cramped seating in a plane, despite my very limited flying experience. In addition to that issue, this is not amphitheater/​stadium seating, which means the seats don’t have a descending height as you go down, they’re all at the same level. I don’t know how to explain it but hopefully, that was clear enough. Why is this a big deal, you may ask? Well, if the person sitting in front of you is taller than you (which is 90% of the time in my case), then their head will block your view, whereas if the rows descended, his seat would be low so maybe his head would come up to your nose, not blocking your view. I thought this was the norm in theaters, but apparently not.
The movie theater’s viewing room was cold, much colder than the hallways of the establishment, so I advise bringing a jacket, although in their defense, it was chilly outside (in the 40s) on this day, so that may be why the theater felt colder than it should have. I would advise you to bring a jacket and pray that no one tall sits in front of you, for the sake of your knees and possible visibility issues.

I couldn’t watch the film we payed for because there weren’t enough seats. Not sure if it was the crowd saving seats or what was up with the awkward seating, and no one is going to sit at the front where you have to break neck. Not to mention the manager is extremely rude and unprofessional. Wanted to call a manager on the manager when we asked for the rain check.

Audio and visual quality is good a little bit dirty but not that bad.

This theater is located in the heart of Miami Lakes. It is in a great location with many shops and restaurants around. The location is maintained nice and clean but I feel that they’re up for renovation.
The best days is to visit are on weekdays when its nice and quiet. Staff members are helpful and polite. The concession stand sells a variety of food like large popcorn and soda with free refills. They’ll even provide you with small cups to share you’re refillable soda. Though I feel the food is sort of pricey.
In general, I would definitely go back when I want to stay close to home. :)
