So I recently moved up to the high desert and found myself in desperate need of a good shop to take a look at my transmission. So I did what most smart people do and turned to Unilocal and bam I found A Tech Transmission.
I couldn’t have made a better choice. These guys have been serving the high desert for years and are committed to providing great service, reasonable pricing and years of experience that shows.
I was provided a reasonable estimate that came in within that range. Everything was explained to me upfront and I wasn’t hit with any surprises. In fact they are giving me a discount on labor on another repair that they will be performing shorty. John, Paul & Steve are solid guys and I highly recommend A Tech Transmission to anyone. John and Paul really helped me out. So started on vacation to Mammoth camping pulling my trailer with my RELIABLE Dodge diesel and the bolts on my torque converter loosened up. Paul said bring it in and they will look at it right away but Dodge did not have the parts in stock so John took my trailer to his house and one of the workers took my family to a hotel and helped get a discount and the room, WOW good service! They fixed my truck the next day picked up my trailer for me and got us on the road at 2:00 to Mammoth, saved the trip. Good attitude, very helpful, and went out of their way to help a difficult situation. Thanks a million! I own my own business and know what good customer service is this shop has it!

I hate taking my car to transmission shops, just like anyone else. I know they’re always going to tell me that I need a new transmission or a total rebuild… no matter what the truth really is about my car… and the problem is that I own a nice BMW 7 series and the usually smack me just because they think I can afford it… but I can’t. I’ve taken my car to A Tech twice now and this has not been the case. Not only did they fix my problem at a more than reasonable price… but I had to sit in their lobby both times and listen to how they handle business with other people. Time after time I heard them deal with transmission problems that didn’t require a total rebuild. They were always helping the customer get out of there as cheap as possible and a lot of people came in who had taken their own transmissions out and just wanted someone to rebuild it. To my amazement they seemed to want that type of business. Their prices were low to me and they handled a lot of volume. I would go in early and hear them talking about how late some of the employees worked… like 8am to 9pm… the same hours I worked on my way up in my youth. This means they are getting the jobs done, not leaving at 5 in the middle of work… I highly recommend A Tech… it is the BEST transmission shop that I have dealt with in my 54 year life… BMW would have wanted $ 8000 and that is a fact… A Tech fixed my trans for under $ 500…and that is a fact also… you can trust them… and that is rare in a transmission shop!

Theses guys did a great job on my durango. I took it to victorville motors first for tranny issues and they said my trans need to either be rebuild or replaced. Rebuilding it was going to cost 3300 or replacing it was going to be 5800. So I towed it from there over to Atech. 5 days later I have my truck back it was a solenoid block cosy 810 dollars to replace. Glad I came here.

John and his guys were really helpful. Got my truck in and out. They were straight shooting and honest. Will be going back.

These are the only guys to go to for transmission work. They are not the cheapest, they are not the fastest, but they are the best. I would recommend them to anyone.

A-​Tech Transmissions is the cleanest Transmission shop I know of in the high desert. They run a clean ship, got fair prices and are very knowlegdeable & friendly, If you gotta get Tranny work done for your 4 wheeler or your Honda, this is definitely the best place to go! They do good work for my Corvette & Yukon Denalli!
