Dr. Martin Guevara, OD owns and operates his Optometry practice in beautiful Hermosa Beach. We are pleased to provide service for both children and adults. In addition to examining your eyes for glasses and contacts, Dr. Guevara is certified to prescribe medications to diagnose and treat allergies and infections of the eye. Although experienced in all areas of Optometry, Dr. Guevara has a special emphasis on all types of contact lens fittings. Consultation for potential LASIK eye surgery patients is available and Dr. Guevara is experienced in both pre and post operative care and co-​management for laser eye surgery.

We carry a large selection of fashionable and designer frames to compliment any need or lifestyle. We are providers for VSP, Superior Vision Plan (SVP), and Medical Eye Services (MES). Other insurance plans may be accepted based on office approval.

History

Established in 1989.

Dr. Guevara is a native of Redondo Beach and grew up along the beach near our office. After attending UCLA, Dr. Guevara continued his education at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry and earned his degree in 1984. He has practiced in the South Bay his entire career and enjoys working in his own community. Dr. Guevara practices general optometry with a special emphasis in the area of contact lens fitting. All of his exams are extremely thorough and he promises that no patient will leave his office until all their questions have been answered. Dr. Guevara is also certified to diagnose and treat many diseases of the eye. The doctor is happily married to Dr. Grace Kuo and lives in the South Bay with their two children.
