Dr Barr is the best!!! I’ve been to a lot of OD’s and hands down he has the most finesse and will get it right! Spot on with my prescription like never before with any other Drs. Unfortunately, he retired and there is a new doc there now :(

Dr Barr is really a great and talented OD. I am so glad I found him after seeing several mediocre and not so great OD’s that gave me prescriptions that were just too far off the mark.
Dr. Barr gave me a thorough examination, and prescribed for me both excellent contacts and eyeglasses! At last I could see near and far most excellently!
Dr. Barr is not the cheapest OD around, that is for sure. But he is very experienced and knows his stuff. If you have any concerns about finding a good OD, or have any special needs (GP contacts, ect.) I cannot recommend Dr. Barr enough!!!

Dr. Barr is fantastic.
Every appointment I have had has been on time, very efficient, and you are done quickly. The amount of equipment tests all aspects of your eyes and vision quickly and accurately.
There is a huge selection of frames to choose from, the staff is fantastic, and they take a lot of different insurances.

I heart Dr. Barr. He’s groovy, wears some fantastic colored suits, loves music, is very up to date with the best techniques and is SUPER professional, punctual, sent me to a great referral for my laser eye surgery (TLC Laser Center Torrance), and has handled all of my follow up appointments. His entire staff was wonderful and I originally got my eye glasses and contacts from them last year as well. Its a small, beachy homey place where they remember you and they’re even open all day Saturday for the people (like me) who can’t get there during the week. Great array of eyeglasses to choose from, Takes VSP insurance, and Dr. Barr was once HERMOSA BEACH MAN of the Year!!!
