History

Established in 1995.

Tate Medley — the tall blonde dog walker in Manhattan Beach started the dog walking business 15 years ago. In 2005, Jen joined Tate as a dog walker. In 2008 Jen took over the operations of the business. Currently Jen has 2 dog walkers working with her group.

Jen grew up in the Los Angeles suburb of Northridge. After graduating from UCLA with a BA in Economics, she moved to Manhattan Beach and began work for the consulting firm Accenture as a College Recruiter. 12 years later, she left the corporate world to pursue her dream of being a small business owner and working with animals. I couldn’t have wished for a better person to take care of our kids (our pups). Jen was our main stay until we moved, our dogs were happiest with her and when we moved it was a huge hit. We were never worried about our dogs, safety was a top priority and knowing they were safe with Jen was huge for us. They were tuckered out, happy, and it was almost like our dogs had two owners, us and Jen. Finding someone new is breaking out hearts. Also, boarding with Jen was such a comfort for us. We will continue on with that. So they’ll still get to see their crew! Thank you, Jen! You’re truly the best.

I am sitting at home in my home office today and I notice this service pull up to my home, and the dog walker come out of the car and walk the dog they are walking. She is on the sidewalk which is fine letting the dog do its business on my lawn. Then she walks across the lawn letting the dog and herself come all the way up to my house. Look, staying on the sidewalk is fine, but DO NOT cross onto private property across a full lawn and come up to my home. WHO DOES THAT??? I would appreciate if you stay on the sidewalk and not come all the way up to my (anyones) home. How dare you! This is not the first time. My neighbors repeatedly see you dog walkers with your group walking 6 – 8 dogs go fully onto my lawn and all the way up to my home, half the time NOT picking up after the dogs in your care. Really tired of picking up other people’s $h!t on my lawn.
And this time I know it’s you thanks to the advertising on your van!!!
Stay off people’s private property!!!

Have been a loyal customer of Jen’s Dog Walking for three years and could not be more satisfied. They take wonderful care of my seven year old golden retriever, Titan, and he is as equally thrilled with their service. Each time he is gone for three hours and comes back 100% exhausted and happy. If there are any issues on the walk, I am immediately notified. I definitely recommend.

We’ve been using Jen for almost 5 years. (geez time flies!) We have 2 small-​medium sized dogs, that get walked 3 times a week. We’ve also boarded with Jen when were on vacation — as I wouldn’t trust anyone else locally or want to bother family with my fur-​kids. :) Jen is honest, flexible and trustworthy– and I’ve never had a issue with the service or my dogs since we’ve used her services. She will also bend over backyards to accommodate any needs, and I know if I need anything anytime of the day — she’d be right on it. Our dogs love her~! And I’ve actually caught them downstairs waiting for her around there walk time too. (too bad dogs can’t distinguish days of the weeks. haha)

Jen’s been walking my dog for years. She quickly learns the needs of each dog and works with them according to each of their needs so the dogs can enjoy the group walks. I am a big fan of the large group dog walks. Being that my dog is an «only child» it’s important that she gets this time to exercise with friends and behave in a group. At the end of the day, my dog is sleeping soundly when I return from work, so I know she’s had fun while I’m at the office!

I’ve been using Jen for almost 6 months now. My schedule tends to be fluctuating at all times, and Jenn has always been accommodating when I needed it. She is by far the best priced for the area, and unless your dog has issues of its own, her pack walking style is ideal. Keep up the good work Jen.

I have used Jen’s Dog Walking services for over 3 years. My dog was a rescue dog and she is very skittish and hypersensitive. Jen is absolutely wonderful with her and my dog just adores her. Jen has been consistently reliable, organized and extremely professional in all our dealings. As I work long hours, I don’t know what I, or my dog, would do without her. You can tell that Jen really loves animals and has a true passion and talent for working with the dogs. Jenny has been caring for dogs for so many years and you can really tell. She has mastered the art of walking dogs in a pack which makes all the dogs so happy! She has cared for our dog overnight many times and we wouldn’t trust anyone but her.

Our dog was dog sat by this person (actually somebody named Jake). I was charged $ 65.00 a day. When I returned home I noticed my dog was a little standoffish toward me. It wasn’t until the following morning that I discovered a quarter sized bite /​naw mark on the side of her head. When I called Jen she claimed it was not something that happened in her care. My dog is a 5 year old fixed female Golden Retriever. She has no history of aggression.
Something happened, I don’t know what, but I no longer trust this person/​company with my loved one. Further, I requested she stop by and see the issue for herself. She never even responded to my request.
Update: Due to the outrageous allegations that I am such a horrible person and this couldn’t possibly be her fault. I have to additional pictures to submit but unfortunately, there is no photo upload available for this review. Feel free to check my profile as I will have them uploaded today.

We highly recommend Jen. Our dog is a little on the shy side and we weren’t sure how he would do on the pack walks but he seems to love Jen and walking with the pack.
You can tell that Jen really cares about furry charges and runs a professional business.
