Only one word to description Summer… AMAZING! I’ve been going to Summer probably for over a year now, possibly two! I was recommend by a friend and I was very hesitate because my previous hair dresser tried to do highlights and made a disaster out of my hair. I immediately felt comfortable with Summer’s approach in getting my hair back to where I wanted it, but in a healthy way. She cares about the integrity of your hair and will not do something if she knows it will damage it. My hair has been extremely healthy even when we did highlights! Love, love her!

Visited Antoinette for a haircut & ombré color back in July 2014. She was very sweet and accommodating, listened to what I wanted. At the time, I liked the V shape hair & she trimmed my hair & added layers to my liking. I didn’t dye my hair for a couple years prior to my visit, she warned me beforehand that it might be hard to achieve the color I wanted because I had dark hair. I wanted to keep my natural hair color as my base and have an ashy color for my ombré. After she was done, I liked it but felt like the ombré could’ve started a little more higher. After a week went by, I started to notice that some areas of my hair didn’t blend well together but it was tolerable considering I didn’t redo my hair until 5 months later.

Summer always does an amazing job, its such a nice relazed salon and always so flexible in getting me in last minute. Have never been happier with my color.

Been going to Lan Anh for a few years now followed her over from another salon. She does wonders for what I think is my thick, coarse, difficult hair! She was the first person I went to for a brazillian blowout and she got me hooked! Salon is a nice place. most of the time fairly quiet. Lan Anh is flexible about times and makes it easy to go in to see her.

This review is for Summer at Dandelion Salon. Summer is the owner and takes pride in her salon as well as being passionate about making her clients look the best that they can. My hair has never looked and felt better since I’ve been going to Summer, about 2 years. I followed her to her new salon and happy that she has found a great spot. The salon is lovely and relaxing. It’s wonderful!

Summer is the only person I will let touch my hair! I am extremely picky as well as indecisive. So I tell her my ideas and she tells me the best option that will look good and protect my hair. She makes sure to never do anything that would damage it. She is the most knowledgeable hair stylist I have ever been to. She thoroughly explains the process she is putting my hair through and I love that because I want to make sure to keep it healthy!
I am also really bad at getting in on time to fix my roots because I get busy and forget, so about the time they are due, Summer always calls me to remind me and I love it! She takes better care of my hair then I do!
My boyfriend, who has decided to grow his hair out a bit and has thick wavy hair, has been going to her too. He has never had anything but short hair so he doesn’t know how to take care of it. I was skeptical of his longer hair and not super stoked about it UNTIL he started seeing Summer and she made it look amazing! Now I can’t imagine him without the longer hair.
The Dandelion Salon itself is sooo cute! I could honestly hang out there for hours. I want the outside patio to be my backyard patio.
She is the best, can’t rave enough about her!

I go to Summer… She does an amazing job with my super blonde highlights. I trusted her with switching me to a super short cut after over 10 years of being long-​haired gal. So happy and will never go to anyone else again. Perks, she’s by the beach :)

Summer has done my hair many times and I have to say she really knows her craft! I’ve had both cuts & color and I love how amazing I look when I leave the salon. Summer even did my updo for my wedding! My hair looked absolutely perfect for my special day. I highly recommend an appointment to see Summer for all your hair needs.

This review is for Antoinette. Seems as if this is one of those salons where each stylist rents their own space. Very cute little salon. Do not judge this place by what it looks like on the outside. Everyone inside seems very professional and love what they do. Also, you can park in the Big Lots lot just a half block away.
Antoinette is awesome! She listened to what I wanted, went over my options, and actually followed through to achieve the result I wanted, which is a rare find in LA. She is also super sweet and made me feel comfortable the entire time.
She recommended a semi-​permanent dye that would fade over time but I wouldn’t get that harsh line that you get when your roots start showing. The color was a bit darker than I expected but it was soo shiny! It’s been almost two weeks and my hair still looks glossy. Next time I’ll ask for a little lighter but no biggie since it’s only semi permanent. Also loved my cut, she kept the length I asked for and gave me shorter layers so my hair wasn’t so weighed down.
Overall, love the cut and color and will definitely be returning here.
P. S. She also offers free bang trims to her customers which is a major plus!

Summer is queen of the blow out! The salon is beautiful, bright, and cheery, just like the owner!

So I’m a guy who’s always gone to a barber to get a haircut (probably an east coast thing). In my experience most stylists at salons have a difficult time with scissors and cutting guys hair. Summer is very skilled and has a great personality as well. My hair always looks great and professionally done.
The salon is clean and the other stylists are pleasant and chatty. It’s really a great atmosphere in there. Don’t judge this place by the small strip of shops that it’s in. Go inside. It’s like an oasis! And you can park next door at Big Lots, so that’s ample as well.
