History

Established in 1981.

Started in 1981 by Jeanne Boyd, Classic Tile has always made customer service our number one priority. With husband Craig along for the ride, they spent the next 30 years serving the South Bay. Their daughter Tina joined in the fun for good in 1994 and her husband Josh a few years later. Craig and Jeanne are enjoying their retirement these days and Josh and Tina, along with the help of their fantastic Classic Tile crew, have taken over the reigns and look forward to many years of serving the construction family we’ve made and all of the new clients and friends we’ll make in the future.

Received a Bill 5 months after purchasing materials stating due to charging errors I still owed them money.
I spent the last 4 weeks figuring out this error and yes it was an error and I did owe the money, even though I received a paid in full receipt 5 months ago. It was a error on their part. I was doing a huge remodel on my house and purchased all the tiles from Classic Tile & Design.
I am not happy about this nor the time it took me to retrieve all my credit card statements
I’m sorry but I can’t buy from this place again if they can’t keep their books straight.
I understand mistakes happen but 5 months later seriously no excuses.

Over the past year of remodel we have been very pleased with our multiple experiences at Classic Tile. Both Virginia and Josh were great to work with and responsive to our questions and needs. Our completed project has exceeded our expectations and we are always happy to recommend friends to Classic Tile when we are complimented on our tile choices. Nothing beats customer service in my book and I found everything I was looking for to fit with our modern home.

I’ve been to several tile stores from Pasadena down to Newport. And Classic Tile & Design is a great little gem in the South Bay. As an avid DIY couple doing our first flip, I will say hands down Josh is a great person to chat with about tile. I have stopped into Classic Tile numerous times now, but only recently ordered. Each time, despite not being ready to order, he was helpful and informative. His communication is great. He sent out for a specific tile sample and called when it arrived. The whole process has been smooth. Don’t let the small location fool you. From Walker Zanger to Artistic Tile, they have plenty to choose from!

After going to various tile stores and not being satisfied with the service we were getting, we were referred to Classic Tile. What a wonderful experience. Josh helped us the minute we walked in and assisted us in choosing among the many many options of tiles available. He sent us home with samples and worked with us in choosing colors and styles. As a new person to renovating, he graciously answered my numerous questions without making me feel like a pest! Thanks Josh!!!

I purchased some beautiful tile for our bathroom remodel from Josh at Classic Tile. It was not properly installed, so I went back to Josh to ask his opinion (just to make sure our expectations were reasonable). Josh has gone above and beyond in trying to help us resolve our issue (which, by the way, had nothing to do with him). He has referred us to different tile guys and has followed up with me numerous times to see if there is anything he can do to help. In addition to that, our contractor researched the tile with other stores and confirmed that we got the best price around. In a world where, in my experience, sales people are flaky and don’t follow-​through, it’s refreshing and heart-​warming to encounter a guy like Josh who really cares about his customers. Thank you Josh!

I wandered into Classic Tile one morning to look around and gather ideas for an upcoming powder room remodel (a TINY powder room remodel). After about 30 seconds I was greeted and asked if I needed help. I had an idea of what I was looking for, but with their guidance and expertise, i found the perfect tile for our project. I had never seen anything like it before, but Josh, the owner, assured me it would be the right tile. This man is amazing, he has impeccable taste, I even went back with paint samples and lighting options to get his opinion… which was always spot on. I had a spot on my tile recently and Josh came to my house on his only day off to take care of it. That is the kind of service that will make me a lifetime customer!
