Founded in 2001 by Stephen Campbell, Hyperlogik provides computer technical support to home users and small businesses throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

At a young age I found I had a passion for technology, specifically computers. I spent all my free time playing with computers and trying to figure them out.

As a student at Pinole Valley High School I took a number of computer classes and spent my lunches working on computers around the school; this allowed me to gain a lot of hands-​on experience. Many of the staff members loved having someone around that could come into the classroom to help fix their computer problems and wished that someone would come help them with their home computers. Seeing this need for home computer repair helped motivate me to start this business.

Immediately after graduating from high school I founded Hyperlogik and attended Heald College where I earned an A.A.S in Computer Technology, A.A.S. in Networking Technology with an emphasis in Microsoft Windows 2000 and my MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional).

I have a 3+ year old gaming laptop that was overheating. I knew from past experience that I needed to reapply thermal paste. I also knew that I didn’t want to do this myself! I decided to check out Hyperlogik as they are the closest shop to my house.
Shari took great care of my laptop! She kept me informed on what was going on after drop off. Very happy with the service I received, would use again in a heartbeat :)

Lately, we have been very disappointed in Steven Campbell/​Hyperlogik. His inability to repair our computer and ignoring our phone calls have led me to write this evaluation. He is a nice guy, but his rates have increased and his service has declined. I do
not recommend this company.

I completely fried the keyboard in my laptop and thought it was a lost cause. I knew the whole thing would have to be disassembled to replace the board and I wasn’t even sure that a new board could be found. A friend recommended Hyperlogik and I can’t thank them enough for the referral. The service was fast, friendly, and extremely competent. Their rates were very reasonable. I was ready to chuck this laptop out and buy a new one, so they effectively saved me $ 1,000.

An update to my review of May 6, 2013. Stephen solved a very complex and lengthy problem with my remote access server or RAS. He worked with the Coast Guard IT team and restored this invaluable asset seamlessly and in record time. Always call Stephen. He comes through like the champion he is!

So, I called Stephen again and waited a while until he was available, and you know what, it was worth it. Really worth it. He’s good at what he does and I cannot imagine better service. The experience for me was like something I’d seen in the movies, where the service tech comes to the home and they’re, neat, intelligent, professional, pleasant looking, courteous and fixes everything right the first time and you say to yourself «that doesn’t happen in real life because in real life we call and get Practically Toothless Bubba Joe Practicing Alcoholic and Part-​time Service Tech who gets it right maybe the third time.» Now I completely understand why Stephen is in demand; he’s fantastically uncommon. And just like that tech in the movies, he’s also courteous, pleasant, professional and well worth the reasonable fee he charges. My only serious complaint is that there are not two Stephens and one of them cleans houses.

hacked had com cast come they installed new router didn’t work., googled computer repair in Hercules area .yelp him had good revievws .i had left information about what I needed, my type of computer, and times I would be available. A friend recommended Stephen. I called and left a message and he got back to me later that day. i had left information about what I needed, my type of computer, and times I would be available. We arranged a time, Stephen notified me when he was on his way and he showed up on time. We talked about options for Microsof and wireless, and he was very helpful. He knows about computers and systems and he explains things in terms that someone who is not an enthusiast, but is just a user, can understand. I don’t live and breathe computers. As someone who owns a small business in Point Richmond, I can’t really afford a staff IT person — but now I don’t have to worry — we have Stephen at Hyperlogik just a phone call away. He has helped us with networking, purchasing recommendations for printers, supplying computers for a great price, repairing computers, making sense of our complete tangle of cords, and moving everything to a new location. He can even fix many things remotely. He is very honest, trustworthy and his prices are quite reasonable. We have had other IT help over the years but none of them were able to provide the level of all-​around service at a great price that we have gotten from Hyperlogik!

i couldn’t be happier.
my terabyte 8gb ram hp pc was so slow it couldn’t get out of it’s own way. took minutes to open links — just opening ie took 30 — 45 seconds (years in pc time).
stephen was charming but even better, he has an amazing bag of tricks. it took a while but my pc is just humming along now. additionally he cleaned up my itunes library (again using some totally excellent tools). he’s my «guy» — if i have any problems with my pc in the future you can bet the first and only call i’ll be making is to hyyperlogik.

I have used Hyperlogik Computer Services twice in the last year and have found Stephen to be completely reliable, professional, and fairly priced. I really don’t have a lot of time to be driving my computer to a repair shop, so it was incredibly convenient to have him come to my home to fix it. He helped save ALL of our pictures from the last 6 years and helped set us up with a solid backup service. I have recommended him to several of my friends if they ever need a computer guy.

Thanks to Stephen Campbell, my sanity is relatively intact. After setting up a desktop and a traveling netbook, he has kept me as up to date as I want to be, making changes as needed, sometimes with a home visit and often remotely via Team Viewer. I cannot recommend Hyperlogik highly enough – more than the five stars allotted here, but I guess they’ll have to do.
