It’s not Super 8, but it’s not the most exclusive Trump Hotel either. Somewhere in the middle.
Fortunately, when I came here, it was not as bad as some on here say. No bedbugs, rooms relatively clean. Now, the spray or whatever they use to clean the rooms irritated my nose a bit, but that’s what most hotels use. Beds are ok, pretty basic. The hallways and everything looks pretty nice.
The restaurant for food, was not good however. Only junk food to eat, I think hotels should have normal food too, not just your McDonald’s stuff.
Location is nice for RIT students etc.
And it is not very expensive. But again, there is some stuff they could improve in the hotel.

If zero was an option, this place deserves it. Reeks of vomit, overflow for RIT dorms, and the rooms are ancient. Nothing complimentary and prices were absurd. Icing on the cake was they contacted my rewards program and claimed I cancelled my stay, so I’m now out two nights. If it weren’t for the college overflow, this dump would be out of business (as it should be). DO NOT STAY HERE!

This place is awful!!! Rooms are outdated and the TV does not work. Front staff is rude and not very welcoming at all. $ 129 for 1 nite and NO complimentary breakfast! Rooms are stuffy and mo window to open-​really. The beds are full size which was really surprising. All in all please stay away from this place and go elsewhere!!!

Good location for RIT and the room was a very good size (2 queen size beds) BUT the a/​c was really noisy even by budget hotel standards… I hoped to write that we were «unlucky» with the room, but the room we slept in was the second one after we had to complain about the noise in tthe first one we were given.

This is a great location for a corporate conference. Well located for access from all of Rochester’s suburbs and exurbs. The facility could easily handle our group 150. And everything went off without a hitch.

I typically don’t take time to write reviews but had to take the time based on our experience here… we had our Son’s wedding reception here and had numerous rooms for the wedding party and guests. The staff was phenomenal… not one thing was missed during the planning phase or the wedding reception itself! We feltS though the staff was like family as they cared about every detail. The rooms were clean, comfortable and perfect for our group. When we researched other hotels in the area, they were more expensive, the quality of food was worse and they seemed arrogant about getting our business. Hats off to the RIT Innand Conference Center for making a very memorable occasion so perfect, we will be sharing the experience to others!

Terrible, terrible service. That’s about all I have to say about this inn. Don’t waste your time here; it’s not going to benefit you unless you’re stuck up with fat pockets. Places the pieces together as you wish.

I wanted to like this place, I really did, because the staff is very nice and more often than not, really tried to bend over backwards to accommodate me.
My room was fine, basic hotel room — 2 beds, desk, TV, closet, bathroom. There is only wired internet access, which killed my data usage for my iPhone. Bathroom amenities were soap and shampoo, both fine, but for I have to admit, I was surprised there wasn’t also moisturizer and conditioner provided, just things you normally get in hotels.
The A/​C was a bit glitchy, sometimes the room would be ice cold, sometimes hot and humid.
My three biggest issues were that (1) my room wasn’t turned down for 2 days, (2) if you order room service, you have to request that they come and get the dishes, otherwise they’ll just sit there. (3), they have a shuttle that’ll take you to the airport and anywhere else within a 10 mile radius, but you have to reserve it in advance. This was the most annoying thing for me as I was attending a conference and they advertised free shuttle service to and from the conference. I called three times prior to my trip to ensure that I had transportation confirmed to my conference. When I got there I was told that I had to reserve my shuttle and that it was booked for the day. I had to call a taxi to get to my conference. The shuttle was the whole reason I didn’t rent a car while up there.
Bottom line, they try very hard but it is obvious that they are painfully understaffed and what staff they do have, some are not trained well.

Ok if you just need a place to spend the night cheaply (if you do not add any extra room service to the bill) close to RIT, other then that I would suggest looking elsewhere, young lifeguard at the pool was extremely rude, she actually went as far as to lock us out from the poolside entrance to keep us from using the indoor hot tub, a couple posts mentioned front staff was nasty, I think they may just be overworked and understaffed, made an effort to be very patient and polite and they were fine

This place is bad… It had a bad odor.

The inn is located in an old Marriott property. We stayed there three nights taking advantage of a $ 40 discounted rate for patients at the Wilmot Cancer Center. Our experience was quite positive: all the staff we met were friendly and helpful, the lobby was large and nicely equipped; the parking was plentiful; the rooms were spacious and the bed very comfortable; the food in the small restaurant was quite good made even better by the $ 3 coupons per day per person; the bar was wonderful.
While there are better options in the area at $ 100 plus, for $ 40 you can’t beat it. The hotel specializes in weddings, so if they have one the nights you are there, it could be very crowded and loud.

We were at this hotel for an overnight stay coupled with a wedding that evening.
The interior of the hotel was quite nice. I especially liked the foyer. The room was a little small and the hallways were really weird, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was fine.
The food at the wedding was good, especially for wedding food. The space was great once they opened up the main banquet room, but they had 250+ guests squished into a pretty small cocktail space for too long.
My biggest complaint — the customer service. No one was friendly, or helpful, or even smiled at us from check in at the front desk, to the bartenders, to check out (although the servers at the actual wedding were fine). When I discovered at 1am, completely exhausted, that my room key didn’t work — I didn’t even get an apology (let alone a smile) when I asked for a replacement. My husband got it right when he said — «if there’s one profession where you should be friendly, it’s the desk at a hotel.»
There wasn’t much around the hotel but a few chain restaurants but the restaurant inside of it was just fine. If you hop on the 390 you could get to the main drag of restaurants and shops in 10 minutes or so, though.
It’s a fine place for a stop along the I-​90 if you’re making your way across the country, but I would recommend waiting it out one more hour and staying somewhere in Buffalo :-)
