Days Inn Henrietta/Rochester Area

Awful!
This place is not clean. I thought it would be a good value but if it’s dirty there’s zero value.
I don’t understand how you can invite people to stay in your establishment and not have it be clean. It’s filthy. That in itself is awful. Nothing worked well including a lack of hot water in the sink (it was warm).
Not a value in any way and you’ll leave feeling a little less clean — certainly with a little less respect for the entire chain.

Total shit-​hole. The first room we checked in to had blood on the sheets and smelled like a barn. The room they moved us in to had used, wet wash cloths and the carpet had a large wet spot about the size of if a dog urinated on it and it wreaked. The rooms are filthy and smell of mould. The entire place reminds me of a cheap summer camp dorm only worse. I wouldn’t let my children stay here. DO NOT BOOK A ROOM IN THIS NASTY HOTEL.

Invaded our room. Kicked us out. Took our luggage. Attempted to denied us a prepaid room. Because they messed up.
Incompetent, ignorant, customer disservice.
Would rate 0 stars if I could.
We are in Rochester on business, a two night stay, booked through
. We booked a single bed smoking room, we don’t smoke but nothing else was available in town under $ 200 a night. They checked us into a 2 bed non smoking room. We prefer nonsmoking so we didn’t complain, although it smelled like old people.
Day 2 there was no ‘do not disturb’ sign so I wrote ‘no service, thank you’ on a piece of paper and put it in the lock.
When we returned that night our keys didn’t work. We went to the front desk and got them rekeyed, upon returning to the room all our stuff was gone. It was all taken and at the front desk. We got our things back and were told we only booked one night. Checked our reservation, 2 nights. We tried to show our reservation to Tommy, the night idiot, but he wouldn’t look at our reservation or listen to us at all. So we contacted
, the
lady called the Days Inn and of course Tommy would not listen to her either so she faxed him and ignorant Tommy would not look at the 3 faxes she sent. Tommy kept saying, ‘I only have one night on the reservation.’ He also lied and said they were overbooked and had no room for us. He acted like we were trying to steal from him while denying us what we paid for.
After waiting in the lobby from about 9:30 to 11:00 I took our original keys that had been rekeyed back to the original room which still opened the door. So I texted my wife (still talking to
) to just walk back to the room.
After another half hour on the phone
they told the front desk we were in our room and figured out that they had screwed up our reservation with someone who has the same last name, which anyone who can contrast and compare would easily see.
The housekeeper tried to steal my wife’s shoes, they were in her bag but not when we got it back. I called the front desk and they said they had no shoes. The front desk lady still thought we hadn’t paid and started telling me they were right to invade and take my stuff. My wife went up front and searched behind the front desk and found her shoes covered up in a corner.
We travel a lot and for our small business so we try to keep expenses down and deal with some not so great hotels but this was ridiculous. Had I not been proactive we would never have got a room.

Aug. 13, stay over night, next morning 2 of 3 people were bit by bed bugs. This needs to be reported to Days Inn headquarters. The place is dirty and gets bad reviews and now bed bugs. Don’t even consider staying there.

No, no, no, no, no. Just no. They didn’t even attempt to cover up the fact that the black mold was running rampant in the bathroom. The spiders and flies will share your misery for the length of your stay. The room smelled musty and dank from the second we opened the door, and we never got accustomed to the stench. Stay at your own risk, but definitely not for more that one night. I’m sure this place is some kind of health hazard if you expose yourself for too long.

Wow… Building looks like some old abandoned high school. Lobby smells like urine, literally adjoins a bar which is kinda a win I guess? They try to charge you more for non smoking rooms versus smoking rooms.
Rooms look like they haven’t bad maintenance since the 70s. Stains and worn out carpet… Bathrooms are disgusting.
If you can afford it… Stay away… Far far away.

This has got to be my worst experience with any hotel. When moving into RIT, may parents and I stayed here the night before we could move in.
First impression when checking in, the two girls at the reception counter were chatting away, ignoring us, then turn to my mom and asked «do you think I’m obnoxious?»
We had booked 1 room with 2 beds but that’s not what we ended up with. The first room had mold in the ceiling so we asked to be moved. The next one had the access panel sitting on the floor exposing wiring and a dunkin donuts box left on the counter. When we complained again, they said they only had one other room that had 1 king bed. We took that after seeing it wasn’t filthy.
When bringing our luggage in, a strange man was coming out of the room next to us. He seemed to be going from room to room but didn’t have a cart or bag or anything. When that was brought up to the receptionists they said he «cleaned the rooms for them».
After squeezing 3 people on a king bed, sleeping sideways with a luggage rack or chair to hold up our feet, we couldn’t wait to get out of there.
The only upside to this place, if you do get stuck staying here, is the restaurant Peppermints across the street.

This seemed like a low-​budget motel with «Days Inn» stickers stuck all over the place to make someone think it is more than it really is.
I was not impressed by the «Motel» quality feel when the word «Hotel» is part of the brand. I did not like the fact that I had to go outside to get to my room.
I cleaned the bathroom and sink area myself with disinfecting wipes to make sure it was clean. I refused to get into the tub/​shower.
Beds were clean enough (I checked everywhere before crawling into bed). However, when I returned to the room during my second night, three of my pillows were gone.
Breakfast was not mentioned upon my check in, and there was no sign of breakfast on either morning.
Now I know why this place was half the cost of the other area hotels…

Pod setup of buildings is more like a roadside motel

Don’t come for the décor. If you just need shelter, this is your place!

When it comes to a budget hotel, my needs are pretty basic — cleanliness, comfort and decent facilities. My experience of this hotel was that it had the usual basic facilities like a standard room, wifi, breakfast, gym etc, was fairly comfortable as far as the size of the room, bed, but the cleanliness aspect left a lot to be desired for. My experience was that the rooms were smelly, carpets not cleaned, dusty, bed felt like they had bugs and overall did not feel clean. And since cleanliness is really very important to me and am allergic to dust, I could not stay for a second day and moved to another hotel close by which was much better for a lesser price. My suggestion would be for the management to pay attention and make sure that the place is kept clean, if their goal is to keep their customers happy and generate more business for themselves.

Run away! I’m reluctant to even give one star, and I’m pretty good at making the best of things. Room smells terrible, super loud AC, Tv remote broken, no tissues and just a bit of toilet paper in the room. Did I mention the room stinks? Lock to our «wing» of the hotel is broken so the hotel isn’t even able to be locked. Restaurant inexplicably closed. At least it will be quiet because nobody else seems dumb enough to stay here. There are plenty of other better options.

My husband and I stayed here both on the way to Kentucky from Massachusetts and on our return trip. We had to attend a funeral and it was a very short whirlwind trip. The heating system was kind of terrible because first it was freezing in the room and then piping hot. The room itself was fine the first night, but the second night, the key didn’t work in the door. However, the night clerk came out right away to help us get into the room.
There’s a honky tonk/​bar connected to the motel, which also serves as the breakfast buffet area in the morning. We enjoyed our free continental breakfast the first visit and were too late the second time. I always appreciate free waffles. :)
It’s definitely a decent place to stay off of the thruway and relatively inexpensive at around $ 50.00 a night. Pick up one of the green discount books at one of the travel plazas to get a coupon.

One of the worst places I have ever stayed. Most of the «amenities» were broken or missing:
There were no batteries in the TV remote, and the power button was broken off the TV. The iron was missing from the ironing service. The tea and coffee service were not replaced by room service when used. The ice machine was broken, and the campus is large enough to require driving to reach the only one that was working. There were multiple bars of soap broken behind the head of the bed. The ice tray was dirty. The cable and phone connections were broken, leaving exposed wiring in the room.
Last but not least, there was a huge pile of VOMIT at the base of the steps outside the room, which looked old when we checked in, and was never cleaned up.
Honestly. avoid this place like the plague that it is. I’ve served in hurricane disaster relief, and our lodgings were better.
