I have been seeing this physician and PA’s since I moved to Nevada in 2008. Dr. Finklestien has never been other than professional with me. His PA’s have always been attentive to my questions and concerns. I have always been able to get my prescriptions faxed to my pharmacy, which does not accept digital faxes, hard copy only, with no problem or appointments necessary. I highly recommend Urology Specialists

I was referred here by my PCP. Initial appointment with the Dr went great. She suggested I reduce the medication I was on to one every other day and see her again in 6 months. After a month, I started to feel the same as I did before I started, so I called to schedule an appointment. There soonest available was two month out. A few days before I got a call to confirm telling me that it was going to be with the Physician’s Assistant(PA) instead of a Dr. I told them that I needed to see the Dr to ask more questions. They refused. At the appointment I saw the PA Bert. What a horrible experience. First, he showed up 30 min late due to «traffic». His lack of professionalism continued in the appointment. Still being fairly new to the medication, I was asking many questions and each one was met with attitude. I was also asking about adjusting the dosage back to what it was, his response was«do what you want, but I am going to tell you I told you so». WHAT?!? Give me reasons, give me answers, tell me why. Still don’t have my answers. I called the main office to complain about Bert, but the office manager was not available and I am still awaiting a call back. Bottom line, stay away from this place.

For the last almost 5 years, I’ve suffered with kidney stones, infections, and dealt with 4 surgeries to correct a condition I have that causes obstruction and swelling in my kidneys. I’ve been to 5 – 6 doctors(I’ve lost count now) one @$$hole surgeon, and have been in and out of the hospital so many times, I was on a first name basis with the nurses. In all that time, I’ve NEVER had any doctor sit and explain my condition, give me answers, and more importantly, discuss a PLAN to actually resolve my problem until Dr. Zommick. I was referred here by Spring Valley ER, after a diagnosis in the ER last week. The scheduling process was easy, and when they give you the opportunity to do the majority of your intake paperwork online before your appointment. I arrived early, and was taken back to the room for a urine sample and vitals before my scheduled time. I did wait for the doctor for a little while, but realistically, who doesn’t wait at the doctor’s office? I brought my knitting with me, so the time passed quickly. When Dr. Zommick came in, he immediately made me feel comfortable by cracking a well mannered joke.(«what do you do for fun when you aren’t hanging out in doctor’s offices and hospitals?») He asked me to explain my history, and listened attentively. And then he took his time to explain things that no other doctor had told me. He let me know that while the previous surgery may have been successful, a lot of times in cases like mine, the muscles collapse, and the conditions come back. He has scheduled some more tests and follow up, and has a plan of action that could give me back a pain free life. His office staff is polite, and super friendly. I feel, after one visit, SO much better about my situation, knowing that there might be a light at the end of the tunnel…

I’m surprised that this is the first review. I was referred here by my PCP due to a cyst on my kidney. The appointment process was very tedious, they asked a million questions and it took far too long. I made an appointment for a few weeks out, so that it would work with my day off. The agent on the line explained that I had to fill out new patient paperwork, which she could be printed from their website or sent via e-mail. I opted for the e-mail, but was never able to fill it out. I was constantly given an error saying that option was not available yet, so I had to print out all 10 pages and fill it out. If you don’t do this in advance, they ask that you arrive to your appointment 1 hour early. My appointment was at 8am and there was no way I was going in that early! Also, there is no way it would take an hour to fill it all out. I was also required to get a copy of my most recent ultrasound and bring that in on a CD with me. The day of my appointment, I arrived 30 minutes early, as they requested. I was the only one there and the check in process was easy enough. A short while later, more patients arrived and I was called back at the same time as them. The nurse gave me a cup and asked for a urine specimen and directed me to the restroom. It was weird that I was waiting in the triage area with another patient(and his wife), while they tested our urine. There wasn’t much privacy. Also, the nurse was listening to her iPod and had earbuds in both ears. So anytime someone spoke to her, she would say«what?» and you’d have to repeat it because she couldn’t hear. That seems awfully unprofessional, in my opinion. The other nurse couldn’t get the computer started and I am not entirely sure they ever looked at the CD of the ultra sound I provided. I was placed in a room and waited for quite a long time. My appointment was at 8am, however the Doctor didn’t even arrive to the office until around 8:15a(I could hear this through the door — apparently she was stuck in traffic). That’s incredibly annoying — I was early for my appointment, as requested, but the Doctor couldn’t make it on time. The examination itself took less than 5 minutes. She doesn’t think that the pain I am having is being caused by my cyst and recommended that I return to my PCP and possibly see a GI specialist. So overall, it feels like this appointment was a huge waste of time.
