History

Established in 1970.

On January 1, 1970 a five-​vehicle caravan consisting of Elmer & Marian Black and their three sons Dennis, Perry, and Ed rolled into Anaheim, CA from Pittsburgh, PA. At that time, the 91 freeway was a two-​lane highway. As paint contractors in Pennsylvania, our dream to build a family-​owned home decorating business in beautiful Southern California was just beginning to come true.

By the mid 70s we opened our first home decorating center on Alicia Parkway in Laguna Hills. One inch aluminum mini blinds were just coming onto the market and within 5 years we had 6 stores and became one of Orange County’s largest window covering retailers through the 70s and 80s. By the 90s the market changed to «Shop at Home» and we changed right along with it.

Today we offer home owners products direct from the factory installed by their factory installers. With our large volume and many years of purchasing products we have the ability to pass on huge saving to our valued customers.

I was fresh out of high school when we arrived in CA in 1970. After a couple of years of college I decide to concentrate all my efforts to the family business so I guess you could say I have a bit of experience.
