Spa at Green Valley Ranch Resort

After posting my review, the Director of the spa Oscar reached out to me inviting me back and apologized for my experience. This showed me they really care about the service they are providing, and I understand that sometimes people are just having an off day. I really appreciated them making the situation right. I am excited to give them another chance!

I have been going here for 6 plus years. I use to live next door at the district. The spa is beautiful and the staff in the downstairs area of the spa really do a nice job to welcome you. The young girls at the front desk are a disaster. They are not friendly, they act like they are to busy to deal with you. No smiles just a very cold greeting. The whole point of a spa is to make you feel welcome. Whenever I go in there it really starts the experience off on a bad note.
I wen to the gym to work out and noticed the staff texting on there phones, standing and talking instead of working. There was obviously no one in charge.

As I walk in to the spa area, I can’t help but be overwhelmed with excitement. Took the day after Mother’s Day off to relax as I had just had a huge party for my sons first birthday and my husband had given me a spa day for a gift. Days off to myself are few and far between nowadays. I checked in with the front desk and was advised to walk down the stairs to check in with the spa attendant. Go downstairs and end up sitting around super annoyed that I am wasting my day for 15 minutes.
The gym is small but has really everything you need to get a good workout. There was only 3 other people in there at the time and I got a nice workout. They had a fridge with cold water and towels which was nice and a bathroom located off the gym. The gym has a great view of a private pool area and is very relaxing.
I head back to the locker and got all undressed in my bathing suit and realize they never gave me spa shoes. I guess they don’t provide them and you have to ask for them. Every other spa I had been too they provide them to you in your locker with your robe. So, had to go find someone to get me some shoes. Annoying.
I finally go and check the place out. It is great. The actually spa area is really tranquil. The lavender steam room was small but amazing and the sauna was really nice. Like that they had spa music in the sauna to listen too. I hung out for about 1.5 hours going in between each area and then set off to find a clock to see if it was time for my massage. I could not find a clock anywhere. I finally asked and located one in the locker room. It is the only clock in the place. I can understand people don’t always want to check the time, but it would be nice if they added one to the waiting area for the services. I got locked out of my locker and had to find someone again. I was thinking these people must be annoyed with me by this point. I ended up getting locked out of my locker 2 other times for a total of 3x during my visit. The attendant advised they do not use keys anymore and had to use combination locks because people kept taking the keys and it was costing them a lot of money to redo the locks. As I was waiting in the waiting area, they had pretzels to snack on, tea and granola. I asked the attendant why they had granola plain and she said people like to eat it. hmm ok. She did offer me some juice that they had stashed away in a fridge. I guess it is an option for people, you just have to ask.
The Nirvana Stress Relief massage was really great. Nice pressure and love me some aroma therapy. Walked out feeling great. It was so great, I really didn’t want to leave. I hung out for another hour in the spa area and went by the private pool area to get some lunch. I waited 30 min for a server and no one. Had to walk all the way inside to let someone know there was no service. Finally got a server and ordered a drink, watermelon salad and Shrimp Ceviche. The food was great. As I was checking out a lady that was hanging out across from me had at some point went inside and had walked two attendants outside and started yelling about how she just spent $ 500 on massages and could not even get a server to get her a drink. It was bad Service all around. I finally went inside, took a long shower and got dressed to leave.
**At checkout. I go to the front to pay for my $ 165 massage and was advised that someone had already paid my bill. I told the clerk that it could not be correct. I gave her my name again and my service. She said that someone came in and paid my bill with a gift card. I asked for a receipt and sure enough there was a gift card applied to my bill. She said, Happy Mothers Day. Someone must really love you. Holy moly. I could not believe it. Was it some weird stalker on Unilocal that saw my check in? Was it my husband? Was it a random person that just wanted to spread love? Was it just a big mistake? I had figured it was a mistake. just accepted the fact that someone did a nice thing and walked out on cloud 9. The next day around 5pm as I am driving home from work I get a call from a clerk telling me they had indeed made a mistake and that someone had a similar name to mine. Ok I call crap that someone with a similar name got the same service. right? So, she said as a courtesy they were giving me a 20% discount and charging my card on file. At first, I was just like. Okay. whatever. Then, as I got home and settled I decided I needed to speak to someone about this. This was not my mistake, it was theirs and now I was being charged on my credit card when I had a gift card. I called back a million x and finally got the hotel director and they ended up working a deal out with me. They really need to work on their service here. So much for my stress relief day.

I had the Alpine (something) massage with Kaitlyn. Hands down the best message I’ve ever had. As a fairly athletic guy that doesn’t stretch enough I have chronic knots in my back, shoulders and chest, and my legs are always tight. Kaitlyn was great at working out knots and getting to knots that others masseuses couldn’t. If I ever end up back here at Green Valley ranch, I would definitely get it again requesting Kaitlyn.

The spa is beautiful. Randy, my massage therapist, was incredible. The entire experience is excellent EXCEPT the spa pool. I felt like Alexis held my credit card hostage. I asked to close out at 2:45. At 4:12 she finally brought my card back. She said she was «too busy.» To me that’s unacceptable. Especially when I was brought the wrong food (I ordered a quesadilla and I was given nachos but she never came back for me to correct her). The locals discount at the spa is super nice.

This is my «go to» spa in Las Vegas! My husband and I are spa fanatics and have been to a multitude of spas in LV, and although some spas are hit or miss, Green Valley Ranch never disappoints.
Pros:
1. We’ve never really had an issue booking appts, even when calling same day (always a plus, since we are not good at planning ahead)
2. We’ve had a ton of different massage therapists, and they are always great!
3. There are multiple co-​ed areas (outdoor pool/​jacuzzi area, inside hot tub, outdoor fireside lounge area)
4. No matter when we’ve been there, the spa never seems overcrowded or busy
5. 20% locals discount
6. If you have kids, Green Valley Ranch now has a Kids Quest (super fun daycare facilities) that you can drop them off at! (score!!!)
Cons:
Honestly can not think of anything wrong with this spa!

My boyfriend treated us to a couples massage for Valentine’s Day. The spa is NOT cheap… but you do get what you pay for: a good quality, relaxing massage. From the receptionists to our masseuse, everyone was sincerely welcoming.
TIP: I wouldn’t suggest parking at the hotel’s general guest garage. You will have a much longer walk to the spa versus parking at a open-​aired lot super close by.
Separate men and women’s locker rooms (not sure about other cell companies but TMOBILE have absolutely NO service in the locker rooms) and then there’s a co-​ed area with couches and a hot tub. They have a lot of amenities in the locker rooms. You forgot a hair tie? They have some for ya. Other feminine products are readily available too.
Boyfriend and I each got the 50 min Swedish massage service. My masseuse’s name was Sioux. Sweet lady. They left the room when they told us to remove our robes and get underneath the covers on our massage table. I love how they respected our privacy so you’re not butt ass naked in front of them.
If I can take advantage of any «magical powers,» this would be the time I would request that time will stop… or at least slow down a bit. Ultimate relaxation from head to toe. Music was calm, room temperature was perfect and their massage oils smelled good, not over-​powering like some can be. You can request them to focus on a certain area. She focused more on my neck and shoulders since that’s where all my tensions are held at and my feet because I always have to wear heels for work. Damn… that foot massage was greattttttt!!!
Since it was Valentine’s Day, they left us chocolate hearts and cake pops in the room. I thought that was a sweet touch. I love anything themed. They also had rose petals spread out throughout the co-​ed area.
Word of advice: pleaseeeee make sure you drink a ton of liquids when you’re done getting any kind of massage. I’m talking WATER. Not energy drinks, coffee or worse, alcohol. Drinking water prevents you from getting a headache since your body released toxins from that massage. I drank two 17 oz bottles and the little one they provided us. I learned the hard way that even with a 15 minute amateur massage and I didn’t drink enough water afterwards, whoooooo I had a painful pounding headache!!!
I would definitely come back here again if we ever wanted to have a nice «treat ourselves day.» Yes, it’s expensive but the prices sure beat the heck out of The Strip spa prices.

Called the GVR spa to make an appointment for my 30^th birthday for a massage service and facial, about $ 300 in services. When making the appointment I was informed that I couldn’t use my locals discount because the massage I picked wasn’t covered. I then went back to the main website and noticed that the verbiage clearly stated 20% off services on Friday and that this discount can help with doing a second service or even upgrading to a better service. Which was exactly what I was doing! I was bummed as I had based my decision after a few hours of research on that locals discount. I explained to the girl I was speaking with that online it never mentioned anywhere that this was only on certain services under their «we love locals» section of the website. She said that it was not on that portion of the website but unfortunately she couldn’t honor it. She then spoke with her manager Caitlyn Applegate who said that she would not honor the locals discount regardless of what was stated online and that she completely agreed with the verbiage stated online. Even though it completely contradicts with what was being advertised! But she would give me a different massage that was the exact same price as the massage I wanted for a discounted price, which I thought was really strange. Why give a discount on a massage that’s the exact same price but not on the one I wanted? I was then transferred to the manager Caitlyn Applegate and she was immediately on the defensive. Her comments were rude and definitely not the type of customer service I would expect from someone who is working at a spa that charges 200 a treatment. She also ended the conversation laughing saying «hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day» in the most contradicting tone. She had the opportunity to really create a wow customer service experience and impress a local client that frequently uses spa services. As well as make someone extremely happy on their birthday. Instead she had a sour attitude and has created what could have been a loyal guest into someone who will never think to use their services again. It’s a shame!

Every now and then you just need a spa day! I was lucky enough to receive a gift card for the spa for Christmas. The spa at GVR gives locals 30% off Monday-​Thursday on all spa treatments which is one of the best deals in town. I opted for a 50 minute massage which came out to $ 126 including a 20% tip for the spa staff. It is a little more than some of the strip mall places but you get so much more, a complete spa experience.
The Spa has a private parking lot just north of the main hotel entrance. As soon as you walk in you can see and hear the large water feature on the back wall and get that wonderful spa smell. After checking in at the front desk you walk down to the spa area where you are greeted by the spa attendants and given a locker key and slippers.
The mens locker room is large and spacious. Being here midweek it was nearly empty. There are lockers, showers, a relaxation room with hot tea and bottled waters, a hot tub, sauna and steam room. There are plenty of towels and toiletries for your use. If you are here with someone of the opposite sex they also have a nice co-​ed spa area.
Back upstairs you have use of the fitness center and private spa pool. You also have access to all areas the entire day which is great if you want to come back later and work out. After relaxing in the hot tub and steam I was called to my appointment. The massage was great, super relaxing and just what I needed.
All of the spa staff were very friendly and attentive and the facilities were spotless. When it warms back up I will definitely be returning to enjoy the pool and another treatment.

Birthday party spa day was super! Exercise, jacuzzi, massages, tea and juice break! So tranquil and relaxful!

Terrible! It was so basic nail service for the deluxe manicure and deluxe pedicure. I could have done it at home!
Go to a nail place not here!
For a cheaper price you can get a better massage, better paraffin wax, better everything even atmosphere!

I ended up with a last minute day off and didn’t want to waste it, but I thought it might be too late to get an appointment for a pedicure. I called over and was told they could get me in about an hour from the time I was calling. Perfect!
The woman on the phone was very helpful in explaining their location. I live nearby and have been to GVR countless times, but would have never found this place hidden behind the GVR property across from the new Lifetime Fitness.
The whole spa/​salon area is gorgeous and definitely adds to the experience. My pedicure service turned out great and the technician was very friendly. I left feeling very relaxed. I can’t wait to go back for a massage sometime. They also offer a locals discount which made the service more reasonable in cost.

This is definitely a treat yourself place! Had an amazing massage with Tracy! She’s the best and I highly recommend her. Unfortunately I’m having to go to The Mirror Mirror Salon to get my nails done with my girl Tami who used to work here. The salon side of this place has really changed and not for the better.

The Spa at Green Valley Ranch is a dream. Even with a local’s discount it’s a little pricey, but worth it. I got a Swedish 60 minute massage and it was glorious. Essential oils, talented masseurs and calming atmosphere took the most ticklish person and brought her into a world of relaxation (that would be me).
Besides the massage services, the spa pool, gym and locker rooms are well equipped, clean and beautiful. Poolside food and drink service doesn’t suck either.
Also the endless supply of pretzels and tea is a plus.

I have been coming to this spa with my 3 daughters for years. Booked our appts long ago to ensure we could start off our day and enjoy the facility. To my surprise the spa seemed a little tattered from past — they don’t have juices, u used opened honey from a jar and stage munchies have been depleted to box granola and pretzels. I think you can get this at massage envy.
Booked 4 — 50 min massages. mine was about 40 minutes my other daughters 45 minutes– are u serious? I booked 50 minutes.
The massages were ok at best. The steam room wasn’t working there were wet towels on the floor at the inside pool not belonging to anyone.
Since it was a very cold day to use the outside pool and services were not going to happen.
When checking out to learn my 40 min hard tissue (which I forgot i had booked and apparently did not recall by the actual massage) was $ 180 I was shocked — with local discount this was $ 144 plus $ 20 resort fee. Then telling me they have applied 20% gratuity that you have the option of modifying. For these prices and the experience sorry I expect a phenomenal experience and to be raving. Not unmemorable.
At the end of the day I am not going to be arguing or debating this with the cashier and have decided based on this experience there are way too many spectacular spas to go to in Las Vegas — that provides services and great experiences then to go back to GVR.
When I got home i alerted my husband don’t ever get me a spa package here again– it really has gone down hill.
Very disappointed!

Overall Impression: Not a very large facility considering the size of the resort, but it was very clean and well attended. The fact that it’s free/​unlimited access for hotel guests (included in the resort fee) scored it a 4. If you’re staying at GVR, it’s well worth a visit. And your only option really, as the strip hotel spas are 20 mins away.

Worst service ever… and I travel to alot of spas! No one seems to know what is going on… like they just opened today? No. They did not. No service for food or drinks at spa pool; and when asked for a manager, ironically he was at lunch! Will not return here… and I am a local that can walk here. Go somewhere else.

I took advantage of the local’s discount. It was really a beautiful, clean and relaxing place, and I wish I had more time to spend there with their day pass. I liked how they had water with cucumbers in it, along with free fruit for you to enjoy. There were so many amenities in the bathroom that you didn’t really need to bring anything with you. It was also nice that they had a café where you could order food while you lounge by the pool. I will definitely do that next time. The massage was good and the customer service was great. I’m due for another day like that at the spa!

I realized after the fact I was charged more for services and swayed from getting the package deal I wanted because I was a local, and ended up spending a lot more money on a service.

Our first time staying at this resort. The facility is GORGEOUS!!! I love the exclusivity of the spa in a separate building from the casino. You see it while at the pool but won’t know what it is unless you ask. There’s a waterfall structure at the front of the building. So you walk behind the «waterfall» and it’s like discovering a hidden treasure…
I used the fitness center a couple of days and was able to use the spa facilities and lockers. I enjoyed sitting out in the outdoor Quiet Area by the secluded lap pool on a comfy couch and read my book. You can hear some of the noise from the pool but you can’t see it… nor can you be seen.. I was trying to describe the place to my hubby, who was at the pool with the girls. I encouraged him to go work out after me and enjoy it also.
The usual spa amenities (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, deodorant, shaving cream, razors, hair products/​tools, blow dryer and curling iron) as well as fruit, water, granola and tea in the waiting area prior to your treatment.
I wouldn’t mind working out here next time… or finding a quiet place to read a book. It would definitely save money since GVR casino wasn’t very generous…

This would have been 5 stars just a few little things robe in the locker was a medium fit me the way a dress would fit not the way a robe should, the attendant could only find a 2x it was huge but way more comfortable. Had to ask for a razor. They use to just have them out. Probably having to replace to often.
Now to the best part, my treatments, I had a Swedish with Beth yes completely awesome I will request her again. Then a facial with Tina OMG my old 53 year old face is glowing. Locals get 30 percent off during the week. Totally worth it. I usually go up to the spa pool which is just for spa guests but it was windy windy so no pool for me. Great treat.

With weekday locals discounts and quieter evenings, you can spend time at the Green Valley Ranch Spa and hardly see anyone. I have often been here where I find myself practically alone and that is how I prefer to have a spa experience.
They have a lot to offer — including a beautiful spa with; steam room, sauna, a huge hot tub, rain head showers and a relaxation room, a couples spa section, private treatment rooms, a workout facility and a private outdoor pool just for spa guests. You could definitely spend the entire day lounging around this spa.

Just went back for a facial and several hours to get lost in spa serenity. The day was nice and the treatment was good but the spa is slipping.
I have to take away a star for some unfortunate details. After all, the details are important! In lieu of the usual satiny spa robe with a pretty embroidered logo, I got a terry robe with ripped loops and no belt. I can’t walk around comfortably with my tea and magazine whilst holding my robe closed. Boo. Also, no more infused water. Only bottles. Where is the refreshing lemon and cucumber waters? In addition, the magazine selection was sub par.
I still love this spa and I’ll likely return but I might check out some others to see if I’m missing out. Get it together GVR! I expect greatness.

I made a return visit with my good friend, Terri R. Even though I had been there before, there were some pleasant things I didn’t notice before. Plus, they still provided the great experience I do remember, that earns them this star bump!
The staff is as helpful and friendly as can be. From the receptionist to Nikki who gave me my amazing facial.
Amazing clean and elegantly kept.
You can enjoy the jacuzzi in your locker room, or head to the one in the co-​ed area. I think this is great, since many couples love to enjoy the spa, yet you have to be apart most of your visit. There’s even a private room adjacent to the jacuzzi area where you can order and enjoy lunch!
There’s a private pool area for just the spa patrons, a nice touch for people who want more peace and quiet apart from the main casino pool.
How could I forget — rainfall showers!
If you book a treatment, you have in-​and-​out privileges to the spa all day! You can leave and come back later, even as a local. I didn’t plan on it, since I had errands to do that day, but boy was that idea tempting!
I do think prices are competitive with casino spas, yet definitely higher than local massage salons. However, after you get your wrap or massage or facial done, relax in their comfortable robes, get off your phone and enjoy some tea in their surroundings, it’s worth it. Definitely!

Walk in, chill out. That’s what the brochure says and that’s what we did.
Suzy H. gave me a gift card to this spa for my birthday and, thanks to her, we spent a relaxing Friday morning here enjoying the facilities and getting facials. What a relaxing indulgence it was! I’m no expert on spas since I don’t have the extra dollars in my budget for this kind of place, but I highly recommend it just based on this one visit. I’m sure there are other Unilocalers who’ve been to many spas, but I’m not one of them.
KUDOS:
–Separate parking lot and entrance for spa customers. No need to walk through the casino and very easy access off of Carnegie.
–Customer service was excellent, from the front desk to the folks giving us our lockers and a mini-​tour, to my esthetician, Marla.
–The fitness area/​gym has great equipment including free weights that go beyond 50 lb. dumbbells, a squat rack, a Smith machine, Spinner bikes, several treadmills, and elliptical machines. There is a separate outdoor pool for the spa with lap lanes, too.
–The women’s area has its own sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi. We arrived an hour before our facial appointments so we could take advantage of these and hung out in the jacuzzi, catching up and relaxing. Because we booked early appointments, Suzy and I had the place to ourselves. I loved the rainfall shower and each shower has shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and even women’s shaving gel.
–Everything you need or want in a women’s bathroom is supplied: body lotion, q-​tips, combs, hairspray, hair gel, anti-​perspirant, mouthwash, hair dryers, flat irons, as well as feminine hygiene products.
–Fluffy towels everywhere! Comfy robes and slippers provided!
–The quiet area has snacks, water, and tea available.
–If you get a spa service, you can stay all day. Or, leave and come back the same day. I wish I had the time to just lounge around there, eat lunch, hang out by the pool, and take another rainfall shower – maybe next time!
–Locals’ discounts: Mon-​Thurs, 30% off, Fri-​Sun, 20% off.
–I got the Green Valley Classic facial, which was about 50 minutes long, with Marla coming to fetch me promptly at 9:30am, my scheduled appointment time. Cleansing, steaming, exfoliating, massaging of the face as well as neck, back, and arms, a mask, and also falling asleep for a few minutes on my part all happened – good stuff!
GRIPES:
–Extractions! Ugh. This is why I don’t like facials. Once the needle comes out, it is no longer relaxing, but I know it is part of the service. This is not GV Spa’s fault; it’s a facial fact.
–No cell service. The spa is underground, so neither Suzy or I could get our phones to work. We had to check-​in on Unilocal after we were done – what a travesty! (I’m joking, ok?) But, really, there’s no service down there, so if you can’t live without that for a couple of hours, you’ve been warned.
I had a very relaxing two hours at the spa with a great friend and I can’t wait to return some day – thanks, GV Ranch, and thanks, Suzy!

This was overall just a «meh» experience for me. I needed a massage and figured I’d spend the money that I would have spent just on a massage getting access to the spa facilities as well. I love a steam room.
The facilites are nice and all, but not wowing by any means. The detail wasn’t there with getting trash out of the way, and I had a hard time finding someone who worked there a lot of the afternoon. The massage definitely left something to be desired — spent a lot of time pushing on my scalp and not a lot of time doing actual bodywork.
Locals get 30% off Mon-​Thu and 20% off Fri-​Sun. Maybe I’d have better luck at Red Rock?

I was lucky enough to enjoy the spa facilities while a family member stayed at the hotel. The outdoor pool for spa users only was great, as was the jacuzzi in the locker room. There was a feeling of tranquility at the outdoor pool, created in part by the relaxing music played.
The parking lot for the spa was full, and I had to park on the street. The private entrance to the spa is great, but it’s pretty well hidden too. This is a great place to spend a day.
