Green Valley Ranch Resort & Spa

Green Valley Ranch is my absolute favorite casino in Las Vegas. Staff is professional and super friendly. There are things and activities for everyone and the buffet has awesome food. You can’t go wrong on this property.

Although we did not stay at the resort, we stayed nearby. We loved coming to play at the casino. Ample parking, including garages. Next to the District for shopping. Great sports book and during some of the NFL games there are drink specials at the grill behind the sports book. Poker room is nice and conveniently located near sports book. Lots to eat inside the casino anything from Starbucks, quick eats to nice sit down restaurants.

11yrs ago I was looking for a place to have my wedding and was considering this place. The wedding planner treated me like crap so we had our wedding at the four seasons — worked out for the best.
Dial it forward to today. Against my better judgment I stay here for work mtgs. The two people at the lobby desk are doing nothing — nothing — I ask for a wake up call and they say no. Maybe I have to call in to an automated system? No! A real person! So why can the staff at this supposed AAA four diamond resort not lift a finger? I’m glad your level of service hasn’t changed in 11yrs.

While beautiful and very clean rooms, I am giving this resort a three star for a few reasons. 1: floor plans and signage is confusing and frustrating to find where you need to be. 2: help in the hotel looks at you like you have two heads of you ask any questions. 3: pricing. Wow. 4: wait staff can’t be bothered in the restaurants unless you go to Hanks and pay $ 100 per person plus drinks. They were great in Hanks but VERY expensive but the other restaurants had horrible and slow service.

This place is better than ever! It’s one of those places where everyone knows my name. Tides has improved greatly. The service is amazing! Hank’s is the best steakhouse in town. They never miss! It’s sheer elegance, class, and home to an excellent steak! (Not to mention seafood, AND nightly specials, complete with happy hour.) Of all the Stations properties, it is my favorite! (Even above Red Rock). It’s nice to play where you are treated well. I am amazed that GVR is 15 years old. The hotel has aged well. When people visit Las Vegas, and don’t want to stay on the strip, I always recommend GVR. Check out the late night steak special for $ 7.99 with your boarding pass card! Love this place!

This hotel is NOT a good choice for seniors! When my folks come to visit they usually stay at South Point. I wanted them to have an extra special experience when they came here at Christmas so I convinced them to stay at GVR instead. I personally love mostly everything about GVR so I was massively disappointed that the following was their GVR experience:
Upon arrival on 12/​23, only 2 registration desk workers were on duty so it took them 45 minutes to check in. Unacceptable. They were told to go to the East Tower, room 8xxx. Of course, they went to the East Tower and searched for the 8^th floor like anyone would do… but there isn’t one. They wandered around the hotel dragging their bags looking for this 8^th floor that doesn’t exist. (I also encountered several other guests wandering aimlessly looking for their 81xx room during the weekend and gave them directions.) It took asking 2 staff members before it was finally explained to them that their room was on the 1^st floor and the 8 in their room number essentially meant nothing, unlike any other hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Once inside the room, they tried to put their clothes in the drawers but the drawers were painted shut so they called maintenance to unstick them. Then, my mom went to shower and the shower handle came off in her hand. Maintenance came again but the repair was going to take an hour at 11:30pm and they just wanted to get some sleep. They eventually moved to a different room. My dad looks forward to waking up to a view of the mountains in the morning but from the 1^st floor of the east tower, all you could see was the parking garage, so disappointing! The bed and mattress were so high off the ground that my dad couldn’t get into bed. He had to climb on a chair just to get up onto the mattress. Each bed had no less than 8 pillows, mostly decorative. Lovely to look at but where do you put them when it’s time to actually use the bed? The room was so microscopic it was hard to find a place to put them where they wouldn’t be in the way if you had to get up to use the bathroom at night. They couldn’t even enjoy having breakfast together in the morning because the table in their room only had one chair. The room was so ridiculously small they can’t even fit 2 chairs at the table! What a HORRIBLE Christmas hotel stay for my elderly parents when I wanted them to have the most magical, memorable hotel experience of their lives. This was a huge disappointment. The hotel and casino look like a palace but apparently looks are highly deceiving once you’re behind the closed doors of the hotel rooms! Not to mention, the worst Christmas Eve meal of our lives took place in the café. The country fried steak was as tough as rubber, disgusting! The shrimp scampi was a joke! Another huge disappointment.
I will, however, gladly give an honorable mention to the best fish and chips we’ve ever had in Tides and a fabulous happy hour martini experience with live music at Hank’s…those were the highlights of the stay.
My advise: if you’re wealthy enough to afford a suite, go for it, but the basic level rooms in this hotel are not a good choice for older folks. And finally… SHAME ON GVR REGISTRATION DESK STAFF FOR NOT CLEARLY EXPLAINING TO ALL EAST TOWER GUESTS HOW TO FIND THE ROOMS!

Ever since this resort was featured on the show Hells Kitchen in 2007 (where the winner became the executive chef of the fine dining restaurant in there) I’ve been anxious to check this place out & I finally did!
It’s one of the cleaner, neater, non-​smoker friendly, swankier «local casinos» in Las Vegas. The casino floor is huge. Multiple wings with chock-​full– of Slot machines ! Plenty of table games also.
Plenty of food around — from «food court» quick fixings to buffet to restaurants.
Outside in the immediate area is plenty of shopping and restaurants.

I think it’s about time I write a review for GVR. I’m surprised I never have! I’m so glad this is our local casino! Super convenient location for us, off GV and 215. We’ve had family stay here in the past and the hotel is beautiful, but very expensive. The rooms are nice but not overly impressive. The pool is just my favorite place. I love the little sandy beach, the pool chairs are comfy and it’s usually easy to get a spot. I wish they had local deals for the pool. If they did, I’d never leave!
The spa is out of this world luxurious. My GVR spa days are among my favorite days ever. The spa is modern, clean, the ambiance is super relaxing, and there’s a co-​ed area. The staff is friendly and helpful. I absolutely love the gym and how it’s open to the separate spa pool and outdoor area. The new locks in the locker rooms are pretty finicky — I had to have mine reset multiple times on my last visit. Every second of my spa experiences at GVR have been nothing short of spectacular! 30% off on weekdays for locals.
They have Pizza Rock now, which is really growing on me. It gets busy on the weekends, so head there early for a table.
The buffet is, well, a buffet. Lines are usually slow, and wait times are ridiculous even when lines are seemingly short. I like that they do gelato milkshakes, but I should lay off milkshakes for a while, LOL. The mongolian grill is awesome.
I find myself here frequently so I’m glad it’s as nice as it is!!!

I absolutely love Green Valley Ranch. The whole place is beautiful. It is my number 1 recommendation for anyone who comes to Vegas and doesn’t want to stay on the strip. I can not tell you how many nights I’ve stayed there. Customer service is top notch.
There is already ton of places to eat in the resort but they are adding restaurants all the time it seems.
The pool and spa are on a whole another level. I love the pool and spa. From massages to hanging by the pool it is the place to be.
Love GVR and would recommend to anyone!

Absolutely beautiful resort if you don’t mind being 10 minutes off the strip. You get the high end resort feel without the Vegas hustle and bustle. I usually stay on the strip and did for New Year’s Eve but took a chance in priceline with this hotel and it was awesome.
Beautiful rooms and a 24 hot tub. There is a Casino attached but you would never know as its on the back side. You don’t have to walk through the smoke to get to your room. There was no wait each time for valet which is a huge plus. Not sure I’d take a cab here is a little far
I found this place on priceline and the funny thing it said it’s by the airport 4.5 stars but it’s definitely not. Not sure who to blame for that.
My only compliant would be the $ 30 resort fee but it seems they are all doing it now in VEGAS

Beautiful, newer, clean, located in the swanky «District» area great for shopping. Large parking lot. Perfect for getting away from the madness of the strip but still feeling like you are in Vegas!
Hit and miss on the staff — wonderful hosts, some terribly sour waitresses.
Games not too tight, had a great time.
Some good eats there from the lower end Panda Express food court type stuff to a higher end steakhouse.
High limits bar a good one, lots of machines and a lot of smoke, ugh! No getting around that in Vegas though.
Similar to Red Rock casino — I think, same owners.
Worth a drive to Henderson for sure!

Came here for lunch buffet. The buffet was just ok, nothing really special from other buffets i’ve tasted, though i was surprised that i didn’t pay as much as other buffets in Vegas. I played for 5 min at the crazy horse penny slots and won about $ 150. Cool.

Thought for sure that Red Rock was my favorite off strip casino, but this place is equally good. It’s also equally just as far from the strip too. Casino is large with many cheap tables and slots. A shopping complex, called the District is just outside it’s door. Restaurants are good but not outstanding here. Movie theaters and a food court is also in here. Kind of a perfect spot for a family reunion get together in Vegas.

I am some what of a hotel snob. I am picky and expect a lot. GVR went above and beyond. Gorgeous grounds and wonderful service. Pool was mellow, not crowded and was very relaxing. Room was clean and well appointed. Can’t wait to come back and spend some time here. Thanks GVR for making our get away exactly what we were looking for!

Made a reservation months in advance. Called early today to confirm the reservation as a nonsmoking, king room, and that we would be checking in late. Btw, I was on hold for close to 10 minutes to do this. Unfortunately when we arrived they told us they had no more nonsmoking rooms available and that we had to have a «smoking optional» room. They should just call it what it is, a smoking room, because it REEEKS to the point of making my eyes water. On top of that you can even open a window to get fresh air.
In addition, this resort is a sprawling, confusing complex in a commercial area next to a shopping center. It wss hard to find the entrance and hard to find our room.
I would not recommend this place to anyone, nor would I ever stay here again.

Here for a real estate seminar. Paid for the room in full way in advance and even called today to let the hotel know we will be checking in late and reminded them that we need a non smoking, king sized bed. When we arrived at 11, we were still told that only smoking rooms were available. I am feeling nauseated and eyes are burning. It is completely gross. I’m going to smell like a chain smoker tomorrow. The so called free wifi works intermittently, so we had to purchase an upgrade. It says $ 10 for the upgrade on the brochure, but when you actually purchase it, they charge you $ 17.99 PER device. The staff gives you convoluted directions to get to your room to make sure you walk through the casino. Many of my peers at the seminar were complaining about the same.

Second visit to GVR. Last year we stayed in the basic room, which was clean and a bit larger than expected.
This Trip, we enjoyed the 1,000 square foot suite in the east tower. East tower is awesome if you want to be close to the Valet and avoid much of the smoke from the casino.
Suite was clean, had the wanted stuffs such as two TVs, a mini bar that can hold a few of your own items. –not the annoying pressure sensitive kind of mini bar.
No complaints on the hotel at all.
Book direct, sign up for the rewards card, book the low cost room. You’ll likely be offered a low cost upgrade 24 hours after you book.

My very first time being able to gamble!
This review is strictly for the casino. My grandma lives around here and I finally came to Vegas to start house hunting and she wanted to show us around LOL.
This casino is so nice and I didn’t feel like we were in a boatload of cigarettes either! They must have good ventilation even though there were quite a few smokers it wasn’t unbearable! Most casinos make you plug your nose from all of the smoking!
I mostly went for the penny slots and they had a huge selection! I’m happy to say I made my money back LOL! There was only one weird thing that happened while out on the floor. My mom and I were sitting next to each other at the machines and one female employee walked past me giving me a weird look and then a few minutes later a male employee asked us if we wanted to sign up for their rewards card, he did my mom’s in two seconds but then when it came to my turn he took my ID somewhere and was gone for a bit, I’m not sure if I looked so young that they wanted to card me but it was random and awkward.
He should of just asked me flat out, and I wouldn’t have had any problem showing my ID. There’s a few other casinos my grandma wants to show me so I’m not sure if I’d come back on a basis.

This was my first time staying off the strip and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. It was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle.
SPA: Let’s start with the Spa. We happened to wander over to the fitness area to check it out and unexpectedly we found the Spa. Too bad it was on our last day because once we found it, we spent the rest of that day relaxing in that area. The staff were all friendly and gave both my husband and I a tour of the facility. We had lunch and drinks on a day bed near the pool, occasionally dipped in the pool when it got warm and then moved over to the co-​ed jacuzzi and relaxed and caught up on some reading. The whole vibe was so enjoyable.
Pool: The main pool has everything you look for. Plenty of cabana’s surrounding the pool to relax in. There is also a 21+ area called the pond that shows old movies on Sunday evenings.
Rooms: The room we had was fairly basic (King bed, flat screen TV, fridge, etc.) but I know they have upgrade options, so I might have to look into that next time. Plus our view was the parking lot but when in vegas who sits in their room and stares out the window.
Bingo/​Tables: Kerry in the bingo hall goes above and beyond to make you feel special. She was such a sweetheart and I hope she’s still there the next time i go back. Tip she gave me: ask the bartender in the bingo area for her house special «cash ball.» Michael, Doug (dealers) and TN (pit boss) were so friendly. We took over the 3 card table for a couple hours and had so much fun!
Drinks: Things to note: they don’t comp tito’s vodka but they comp belvedere.
Restaurants in hotel were all very good. I will write separate reviews for them.
Bonus: The shops at The District has my favorite store, ANTHROPOLOGIE! A little small but a nice option.

Reservation was incorrect. Locking me out of my suite, door stuck, had too be disassembled by engineers, nothing available due to wedding party taking over hotel. Front Desk RUDE.
Casino smells like ashtray, toilets clogged unserviced. At 21 & over pool no seats available due to wedding not enough loungers for hotel guest. Bartenders RUDE. One Star is being kind. Don’t waste your time with this inhospitable establishment. Unsupervised Children Fist fighting in hallway… here at Hotel currently and my bed has bed bugs. I have bites w/​my blood on the sheets! BEWARE
