Description

Specialties

The most realistic aerial combat experience in the world. Based in the desert playground of Las Vegas, Nevada, Sky Combat Ace LLC (SCA) provides a different level of adrenaline.

At SCA, you’re not just a passenger on a joy ride. You are a steely-eyed fighter pilot at the controls of your very own «fighter jet», pulling Gs and squeezing the trigger. Of course, we teach you everything you need to know about Basic Fighter Maneuvers (BFM) before you fly, so you have all the knowledge needed to successfully own the skies.

With over 10 professional fighter pilots on staff, we have a cadre of highly experienced combat veterans that have flown everything from the F-15 «Eagle» to the F-16 «Viper» to the A-10 «Warthog.» On one sortie, you might fly with a former Air Force Thunderbird, on the next, a fighter weapons school graduate, which is the Air Force’s version of Top Gun.

Fight’s On.

History

Established in 2011.

It started with the vision of Richard «Tex» Coe, a former F-16 fighter pilot, who enjoyed high performance aircraft so much, he couldn’t bear the thought of giving it up when he separated from the Air Force in 2008.

After much research, he discovered the world’s most advanced FAA certified, unlimited aerobatic aircraft, the Extra 330, and a business started to take shape.

Sky Combat Ace started offering aerobatic adventures like the Top Gun and for those who really wanted to know what it was like to be a fighter pilot, the Sky Combat Experience.

Since then, SCA has added many new adventures and offers the most realistic air combat training outside of the armed forces. With the latest addition of the T-6 Texan and the venerable Waco open cockpit bi-plane, and with a large cadre of experienced fighter pilots and seasoned aerobatic instructor pilots, SCA delivers on it’s promise to take you on the most exciting ride of your life.

SCA Fighter Pilot

«Tex» learned to fly when he was 16 years old and quickly discovered that aviation would be his passion in life. He joined the Air Force in 1997 and became an F-16 fighter pilot, while being stationed in Aviano, Italy and Kunsan Air Base, South Korea.

During his tenure in the Air Force, Tex accumulated over 150 hours of combat time and over 1,000 hours in the F-16. After serving overseas, Tex was assigned to Nellis Air Force Base and his interests migrated towards business.

While finishing out his Air Force commitment, Tex earned his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Maryland and quickly put his business plan into motion. After separating from the Air Force in 2008, Tex started 4 thriving aviaiton businesses, including Monarch Sky, Mojave Aviation, Vegas 500 Air Tours and most recently Sky Combat Ace, the premier civilian aerial combat training center in the world.
