They potentially serve my favorite Latte in all of Las Vegas! The milk and espresso compliment each other so well. The latte didn’t taste burnt, bitter, or bland! The baristas were also very nice and experts at their jobs. They gave us two free samples of their nitro coffee. I was on a caffeine high after my visit. Well worth the visit for amazing flavors!

I like it. Very friendly environment, great looking pastries that I’m fighting the urge to consume… And the item I came solely to try out, cold brew on nitro, totally delivers. Strong work.

Favorite coffee shop in Vegas by far. Serves my shot of espresso with a complimentary side of sparkling water just how I like it! This place seriously could get five stars just for their pastries.

One bad habit I have is not appreciating some of the awesome businesses that are surprisingly close to where I live. This is one of them.
I’ve known Mothership Coffee Roasters as a great place for coffee and pastries for a while now, but only occasionally have I visited them to enjoy their products. I was able to rectify that issue twice recently.
They offered free coffee and sample-​size cookies on their recent 1^st anniversary celebration, which finally enticed me back. When I asked for the nitro cold brew, they offered me a choice of their hops nitro cold brew (~$ 3.50 normally) instead, with a guarantee that I could swap it for the normal one if I didn’t like it. Turns out that I didn’t feel any need to take them up on that offer. It was a strong coffee with flavors strongly reminiscent of beer. Getting the caffeine kick with the ale flavor was such a fun combination, and the sweet chocolate chip rye cookies (with a touch of salt) paired perfectly.
I returned today to grab some fuel on the way to work. I got the hops cold brew again, as well as a blackberry (corrected, thanks Beth), orange, and almond scone ($ 4) and a fresh quiche with chorizo, onion, and gruyère (~$ 5).
The scone was a great representative of the cream scone variety, with that soft, moist dough surrounded with a slightly crispy exterior. The orange may not be in my flavor wheelhouse, but the overall mild sweetness and tartness plus the crunchy almonds worked. It almost makes me not miss the scones from 346 Patisserie all that much.
As for the quiche, I was pretty greedy and chose to have at at room temperature, but the textures and flavors still mostly shined through. Fluffy eggs and a reasonably flaky crust are what you want, and this one had it. It wasn’t too greasy either. I’ll have to come back soon for something that I can get re-​warmed.
Mothership is a great destination for coffee. Yes, if you like the kinds of goodies that they offer, you should visit even if you’re clear across town. I don’t even have that obstacle in the way, so I don’t have that excuse for not enjoying this local gem.
(UPDATE 6÷20÷16: Croissant Chocolate Twist was very comparable to the one at Baguette Café. That’s My Cherry Pie had a flaky crust bursting with not-​too-​sweet dark cherry compote, and it might be my new favorite. Well, aside from the Chocolate Chip Rye Cookies, which was prepared with chocolate dough today.)

I’m a coffee lover and dare I say it, quite the coffee snob. I travel to Italy almost yearly — no joke — just to drink a proper espresso. That’s why I get really, REALLY annoyed when I go to a coffee shop and order a macchiato and the snot-​nosed, know-​it-​all, eye rolling barista behind the counter immediately says in a sarcastic tone,“it’s traditional and not like Starbucks” like they are some kind of espresso Yoda. Um, look obnoxious hipster, I KNOW what I am ordering. I wouldn’t be in your coffee shop in the first place if I didn’t!
I witnessed this super snobby attitude towards several other patrons who ordered after me. There were obviously black-​clad regulars who got much more respect from the girl behind the counter.
All of the insufferable coffee culture buzzwords are here, from «drip» coffee (all coffee drips, morons!) to special «nitrogen brews» (OMG shoot me NOW)! Look, I make fun of people who order those fake frou-​frou drinks at Starbucks and wax poetic about how much they «truly love coffee» but these types of menu items even annoy the heck out of ME! Ordering a cup of coffee shouldn’t come with a judgmental class system and I feel that is what Mothership has going on here.
So I ordered and paid (way too much) for my «craft coffee» macchiato. It arrived with a cute heart so points for that, but the coffee was super bitter and just not very good. I drink my espresso in strong ristretto shots and I like it black ’cause I don’t mess around. So when I tell you this stuff was bitter, it had to have been 1,000 times over the legal bitterness limit for the casual coffee sipper. I frantically searched for some sweetener (this is a hipster place so there’s ONLY agave and raw sugar cubes — GROAN — on offer) but when my desperate quest turned out to be fruitless, I simply took one for the team and downed it quickly.
I didn’t partake in any of the pastries since nothing was particularly tempting.
The interior is unwelcoming and cold too, and there’s just an overall unpleasantness to the place. I did like the cute flowers on the tables at least. I hate to rate a small business too low, but I think it’s more than deserving of the ding. I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit this coffee shop, and I won’t be returning.

Simple the best. There is no other words then the BEST. From customer service to the quality of there ingredients. Wow. Just. Wow. Each time I come in I am greeting and attended to promptly. They know there stuff when it comes to coffee. They have been open about a year and I hope many more years to come!!!

Husband even bought a bag to bring back to Seattle and the barista was sooo nice. Said if we don’t like it we can bring it back.

I started ordering a piccolo only to find out that these are more like cappuccinos here. So I ordered a cortada instead (aka Gibralter) and it was an excellent cup. It does make a difference depending on which barista makes your brew. We went back for another about 1 hour later and it was more bitter.
We also tried their chocolate Twinkie filled with whipped strawberry-​coconut cream — a vegan, gluten-​free dessert. It was pretty fantastic, drizzled with good quality dark chocolate.
The inside of the shop smelled too much of disinfectant for us to linger and the outside tables face a parking lot. Not ideal either way but good for a coffee after visiting the Ethel M chocolate factory and before or after lunch at the Weiss Deli and Bakery.

Very limited coffee menu given that they are coffee roasters. Idk, though, bc the look of the place seemed to say they had more going on. Probably a less is more type menu concept. They only offer two added flavors for your drink; lavender and a house mocha (chocolate). I got a lavender latte (pompous floral taste– I say that in the nicest way possible. It felt like I should be sitting with the queen). It was light on the front and more flavorful after swallowed (actually I’m pretty sure an extra dash of the lavender was put in my drink on accident). Looked like a 6oz to-​go cup. Felt like a rip off.
I also got a chili-​cheddar, caramelized onion scone. Hot damn. I couldn’t get enough. I loved the texture and that they left the cooked, crunchy cheddar cheese on the sides. Kudos. They offer far more pastries but I wasn’t in time to see it all (I came around 2p).
Aesthetically very pleasing. I wouldn’t say cozy though and you can hear everything anyone says soooo…
Parking wasn’t the best. It’s in an old looking plaza and to the right of the grocery store.
They offered complimentary chocolate discs with the okay to take another. Their coffee beans are on the wall prepackaged and good for a month if stored properly (at room temp, dark place, not in the fridge or freezer). I didn’t get any because I’m pretty stocked with Desert Roasters coffee (Burundi and Kenya– bold flavors) and Stumptown.

I think this is a very cozy place to me. I finally could drink the nitrogen coffee!
The service was good. The coffee was great!
I will come back here to try the bakery on my next visit!

This local roastery offers an clean place to sit, a cute vibe, and an exceptional cup of coffee. The menu is relatively simple, but they focus on the quality and technique — so don’t expect verbose descriptions or to get foam art masterpieces. Their almond milk latte was full and smooth but without the burnt or acidic aftertaste.
More than the great coffee — I was impressed by the welcoming staff who seem to be genuinely nice people. I ask a ton of questions… and they almost seemed happy I did! They are on the pricy side, but I’m looking forward to coming back.

Looking to find some legit coffee while in Vegas, I had to expand my search a bit further to Henderson. Mothership looked to be the mother load of caffeinated goodness. At least according to its 4.5 star Unilocal rating.
It’s a cute, bright, little shop located in a strip mall. I wasn’t expecting that when Chelly lead us here. My thoughts were «are we actually here?» when we pulled up to the Big 5 store near it.
My babygirl wanted a latte but was denied since she doesn’t do almond milk. Yep, yet another place that doesn’t offer soymilk. We were ready to bail but she urged me to get a latte for myself to try it out.
I’m happy she did. It was a tasty, if tiny cup for a small fortune. They steam their almond milk well. You don’t get that bitter burnt taste that often accompanies frothed almond milk. The espresso is good, well balanced and strong. No latte art to be found which is odd considering the cost.
They’re about a good 20some odd minutes drive from the strip, yet they’re still charging Vegas prices here. The fact that they don’t offer soymilk further lowers my overall opinion of them.
They did have a few delicious looking Vegan pastries on display. That was a pleasant surprise. I wanted to sample one, but we had brought a bagful of Ronald’s Donuts with us, not expecting them to have anything here. Also since we had to go to another coffee shop afterwards, were weren’t looking to stick around and munch pastries ’til we explode.
If you want good coffee and don’t mind almond milk, or prefer it black, come here. Otherwise, they use the same brand of coffee over at Sunrise
but also give you the option of having soymilk in your cup.

This Mothership is out of this world when it comes to caffeine and pastry.
We live on the other side of town, but stop here whenever we get a chance.
The latte is my go-​to drink (still) which I normally get with almond or soy milk, but I make the sacrifice and have regular milk for latte art here (those other milks don’t work well to make designs). Dante is the master barista who’s always friendly, informative, and an expert in latte art; I just like seeing a pretty heart or flower in my caffeine before I imbibe. The pastries are made in-​house and the selections are always tempting, especially the cinnamon rolls.
Mothership has cold brew as well as a hops version which is fabulous and refreshing, part beer and part coffee.
Mothership is the mom of Sunrise Coffee down the street, so if you’re a fan of that coffeehouse, you’ll love Mothership. If you’ve never been to either and you like caffeine made well, check these businesses out.

Love their coffee! It’s actually one of the best coffee shops in town. I was really surprised because there is not much shops in town where I’m crazy about. Their mocha coffee and espresso are so good. We so ordered a couple of their desserts. I just wish the desserts were warmed up. Maybe next time I can asks them to warm it for me. Before we left, we bought a bag of beans for home. So when you get a bag of espresso beans, you get a free cup of their drip coffee :) let me tell you, I was caffeined up!

How has this place been so close to my house and it took Unilocal to find it? I’ve been missing out.
I was surprised at the feel of the shop once inside. The inside of the shop is completely different than you’d expect based on the shopping center. The inside is clean and inviting with minimal décor.
The two people working were very friendly, attentive, and were quick to greet us when we arrived. They didn’t mind answering questions about the baked goods in the case. I also learned that everything is baked fresh each morning and the baker was still making goodies mid-​morning to add to the case. Not that they needed more options because there were at least a dozen options when we arrived. Everything from cinnamon rolls to quiches to scones.
We opted for the Cinnamon Roll and the Quiche. The Quiche had a great flavor with plenty of bacon inside. The crust was also flavorful and flaky. The Cinnamon Roll had a great homemade taste with enough «gooey» flavor on the inside.
While the pastries immediately caught my attention I knew that I had to try the coffee here. I had heard that it was high quality and unique to coffee I would find at other shops. I chose the Drip Coffee. It was bold and appealing to a true coffee lover’s heart. I’m glad that I went light on cream because this coffee should be enjoyed black in my opinion.
I’ll be back here for sure and hopefully often. Spots like this made me glad to live in Las Vegas. Love the local feel and quality of the coffee and baked goods.

Mothership sets flight over the coffee houses to a place where it is back to the basics. In a Las Vegas valley over filling with coffee houses serving fancy drinks and sweetened beverages, Mothership Coffee Roasters goes back to the basic coffee beverages.
The Mothership is located at the southeast corner of Green Valley Shopping Center in a shopping center featuring Trader Joe’s, Weiss Deli, and the U.S. Post Office. This is where the Green Valley story began. A couple of miles west on Sunset, another story began. It is the Mothership story. A few years ago two individuals named Juanny and Josh brought to life their dream of a coffee shop and coffee roasting facility. This became Sunrise Coffee the iconic coffee house that popularized the independent neighborhood coffee shop in Las Vegas and is top rated in surveys. The mission of Sunrise Coffee and Mothership Coffee Roasters is producing world class coffee and cultivating a true sense of community. It is a mission that led me to Sunrise Coffee. Sunrise Coffee was about to get better; they were opening near my place.
I remember the day not far back when I saw Dainty Cakes shut down and a few weeks later their former shop window read «Sunrise Coffee coming soon sign». I so recall it said «Sunrise Coffee in lieu of Mothership.» For months I’d check on the progress of the place. Then one day «tadah» it’s opened and I am inside drinking coffee.
Just like many people I expected a neighborhood coffee house experience. It is a business in a commercial shopping center that would lead me to believe that the focus isn’t primarily a place for roasting coffee, training batistas, a bakery, and expresso bar. It is also a business that I immediately grew to appreciate and regularly patronize.
Mothership has a small footprint. There are a few long tables with tall stools. Recently they increased the seating capacity with a couple of sidewalk tables. When I walk into Mothership I set eyes on a pastry counter that curves into the coffee counter. After trying a chocolate chip cookie once I was impressed. The pastries are farm to table. They use a whole wheat flour from farmers in Washington State and subsequently bake delicious pastries like the chocolate chip cookie I so enjoyed in the shop. Beyond the counter, there is a glass window where I have observed the coffee roasting action. It reminds me of the windows at Ethal M Chocolate Factory.
When I visit Mothership it is for basic coffee. This is not the spot where I go to for pumpkin spice drinks or a Frappuccino. The drinks that they focus on are drip coffee, espresso, cappuccino, whole or Almond lattes, and the bubbly nitrogen brewed coffee. I usually order the drip. Right off the bat, I hold a cup of coffee in high esteem when it tastes delicious minus flavoring, powder, and sweeteners. Mothership is the only coffee establishment that I have frequented that primarily offers cubes of sugar as a coffee sweetener. In my opinion I feel that also offering artificial sweeteners would be advantages to the population of individuals that cannot have sugar. However, the coffee is roasted from such a high caliber of beans that it takes just one sugar cube to sweeten the drink. I never drank a mug of Mothership coffee that let me down.
In general the employees have been friendly. They are here to answer questions pertaining to coffee. I did stump them when I asked them how they got the name Mothership Coffee? Are Juanny and Josh Led Zeppelin fans or is their a different meaning to the name. The friendly employees have let me know that coffee refills are only $ 1.
Mothership takes me to a good place that is so close to my home. In the future I plan to set flight on the Mothership to astronomical high quality coffee that is out of this world.

This is what I’ve been searching for. Very small, quaint, cozy little coffee shop and the coffee is outstanding.
You would normally expect a place like this to be pretentious. The type of place whose baristas sneer at you when you ask for some sweetener. THIS IS NOT THAT PLACE. Everyone is very friendly. Baristas are conversational and offer up suggestions if you aren’t super knowledgable or have just been going to Starbucks way too long and forgotten how to order coffee anywhere else.
The pastries and truffles are SO GOOD. Even if you are just popping in for some coffee, grab a snack, you won’t be disappointed.
Although its located in a shopping center next to a grocery store, the environment of the shop is great. It would be a great place to study, read, or hang out with a friend or two and there is a bit of seating outside so bring your fur friend along too! Definitely give this place a try.

I’m not a frequent coffee drinker, so my mission was pastries and I was so pleased. I love pastries and I love savory pastries even more. I was very excited there were so many savory pastries and had to try all of them. The Savory Hand Pie was filled with roasted squash vegetables and wonderful flavor; also, great crust. The quiche and scone were divine. Both flavorful in its own unique ways. The tostade was delicious as well with a nice balance of sweetness.
The Macchiato was nice and I enjoyed the brown sugar cubes available at the counter. The drinkware created specially by Acme is absolutely beautiful; I love the color. My friend had the Mocha and it was tasty.
I wish there were low tables since I’m not a fan of high-​tops, but it was still a nice hangout. I love the wall art and décor. The pastries are phenomenal and I would return just for them!

I’m not sure about this place. It sounded great but REALLY Market Price coffee??? I thought I was in a seafood place when I saw the MP on the coffee. I’m glad it was $ 3.50 and not no arm and a leg $ 10.00. It’s cool but I needed more of a sweeter taste. It did have the sweet but I needed to add a bit more. Not all about this nitro thang!
Service was cool with friendly workers.

This place is not for the caffeine naïve. Mothership will take you out of this world with their quality coffee and simplistic menu. In this universe, frappucinos and caramel macchiatos do not exist. Neither do any type of concoction with syrup or whipped cream. Do yourself a favor and jump ship now if watered down, cream overload, diabetes in a cup is your idea of a good coffee.
Cold brew coffee is my new addiction. When I feen for caffeine, the nitrogen infused cold brew coffee takes me from 0 to 100 real quick. It’s dark, smooth, and strong without any bitter or acidic notes. There is some raw sugar you can add, but the drinks here don’t need any enhancement.
The pastries and baked goodies are even more impressive. They are made in house! Oh yes! You can taste the freshness and quality. The sweet treats are not overly sweet and the savory options are a plus! Some of my favorites are the chocolate and crème torsade, Vermont chili cheddar scallion scone, and green tea cinnamon bun.
I am in love with the interior of this place. I feel like I’ve stepped into my dream kitchen. Pristine white tiles, rustic modern wood, accents of blue, and shiny stainless steel appliances.
Customer service is on point. It’s a nice touch to see familiar faces from Mothership’s sister, Sunrise Coffee.
The aesthetics, quality products, and exceptional customer service here cannot be beat!
