My mom has been here for a few days now and from what I’ve seen so far, its horrible. The nurses do not come and check on patients. The CNA’s are just as bad or worse. You asknfor something and it takes them 30 minutes to get it for you. Does it really take that long for water? To assist someone to the bathroom? Horrible! Today i arrived at 6:30… it is now 7:15 and my moms nurse has been standing in the next bed over chatting away with the patient… about personal stuff. When i was on my way in, the doctor was having some type of meeting in the middle of the hallway with his employees… he seemed to be upset about something. Either way-​NOT THR PLACE TO HAVE A MEETING! I’m very disappointed in this place. I don’t recommend it. The facility is nice but the people who work in it are horrible! By the way, the nurse’s name is Sam. Seems like a nice guy but doesn’t do his job.

My mother in law was being transferred to a longer term care unit and Health South was first taking her to the surgeon next door and then to the new facility. Somehow the Dr’s kept all the transfer papers and I had to go back and get those before she could be admitted. Then we were missing RX’s and it just became a big nightmare. All this time the transport team stayed with her until she was finally admitted 2 hours later. Conrad Transport Supervisor worked on his end to make sure the RX s were written and sent over, also went back and picked up the Original scripts and brought them back to help ensure the Pharmacy filled her meds. Conrad stayed until she was finally checked in. If he hadn’t gone the extra mile working with his people in getting the scripts written and then going and getting them she would have been without any place to go to and no medicine. He was with her for 6 hours between the dr visit and transfer problems.

Health South on Jeffreys is excellent. I was there for 2 weeks. They have a great medical staff and an outstanding rehabilitation staff.

I am currently a patient here at HealthSouth, Jeffrey ‘s location. What a difference from the ‘death trap’ hospital –Sunrise –I transferred from! Amazing staff, wonderful care, terrific food– yes, terrific hospital food. Dr. Kamala was efficient, personable and actually listens to the patients. I have 10 more days here and because of the excellent care I am receiving? I expect to be hopefully almost %100. They understand how serious my injury is, monitor me carefully and don’t let me over do it. Wonderful facility. I don’t like hospitals or rehab centers, but this place totally changed my mind.

My 89 year old mother has been a resident here for about 2 weeks and WOW, what amazing progress she’s made! The staff are first rate, especially the therapists who have gently but firmly «pushed» her to get her walking again and attending to most of her daily functional demands. She’s being discharged tomorrow back to her assisted living facility and we all couldn’t be happier. Thanks Health South.

If your coming in as an out patient for physical therapy, this place is great. if you have to stay here for a couple of days or weeks I wouldn’t recommend it. It was just my personal experience. The Dr that runs this place is really nice and did an excellent job. It was just the nursing staff and especially the nursing staffs supervisors that made my stay very difficult have a medical condition that needs special needs and the supervisors refused not only my request, but the Dr’s request as well to have treatment in my room. I have complained and so have many other people with my same condition to not stick us in a closet sized room with no TV for the 4 hour treatments that keep us alive. When I told this to the supervisor she was very rude and lied to me by saying I am the only one who has ever complained about it. When i tried to explain further about why I didn’t like it in there she repeatedly said to me in a rude way «she would give me a book» like maybe 5 times. It was very sad for me, It is painful enough to do these treatments, but they made it worse really hope they figure out a way to fix this situation because more people are going to be stuck in that closet, and its just not right.

This is the best place in the valley if you need physical therapy while you continue to recover from you surgery or serious illness. All the care that your physicians prescribe for you will be provided no matter how sophisticated your needs will be supplied to you in your one person or two person room. The highly competent Doctors and Nurses care for you twenty-​four hours a day swiftly, completely, and friendly. Whether it is necessary for your physical therapy needs to be done in your bed, in your room, or at the Therapy center they will insure that you get the treatment you need. Don’t be fooled by other recovery centers tell your Doctor you need to have you recovery improved by going to Healthsouth in Henderson.
