Drop Bar

Went to drop bar after dinner and sat at the tables around the bar, since the bar was full. No server came to greet us, apparently we have to get our drinks from the bar and then be seated. 3 stars for good music and drinks, took away 2 stars for mediocre service.

Tiny place, the bartenders took forever to ask my order even though the place was less than half full. Nothing special in the way of drink choices. Not worth it unless you are staying there and need a drink before going to your destination.

Walked in around 1030pm on a crowded Saturday night. Circled the bar twice before being able to get a seat, but walked up to the bar when we first arrived, and was helped right away. The staff on duty that night (01÷02÷16) was very quick to serve, even if the bar was crowded.
Noticed that there was a live DJ and even a tiny dance area in front of the DJ booth. Pretty cool to have in a lounge/​bar and not an actual club. The music was PERFECT — lots of new and old hip hop/​rap (my favorite) that kept the crowd moving and singing/​rapping along.
Sat down and threw a $ 20 in the machine and played on that same $ 20 for TWO hours! Be sure to enter your players card info to earn points. We just entered our phone number as we did not have our actual cards with us.
During that time, husband and I probably had 5 drinks each. Again, the staff paid attention to our empty drinks and quickly asked if we’d like another. We appreciated the fast service.
The crowd was mixed-​younger 20 and 30 somethings at the bar and seated in the lounge area. Ample lounge space. I also appreciated the crowd, old and young, who were dancing and having fun. Some people were dressed casually and some were dressed up. It was a fun and affordable part of a date night.
We will definitely be back!

Fun place, first time going here last friday. Great atmosphere with the music videos, dj and video slots. They also have a lady that comes around and you can pay for massage while you drink, play. You have to try it, female blond bartender was friendly and if you play they will comp your drinks and not go cheap on you. Worth going back to and checking out.

I’m a semi-​regular here and enjoy the more «upscale» gaming experience offered herein!
And they still play music videos along with the usual sporting events on the many screens in this circular bar.
Although the purple & black décor doesn’t seem dated, perhaps it’s due for a remodel given the recent renovations throughout the casino (new restaurants, etc.) I think this bar has been pretty much the same since Day 1 back in 1997.
Note– no draft beer here. Perhaps that could be the first update made to the bar!
They make a fine Manhattan, however, or practically any other specialty martini you desire!

If you want heavier pours come to this bar for drinks.
I think I stopped at every bar and got drinks from the servers walking the floor and I couldn’t really taste the alcohol in those drinks like I could at Drop Bar.
The machines even seemed looser around this bar.
The bartenders were really nice and helpful. When I asked one of the guys if they could change the channel to a sports game, they immediately obliged.
This place can get crowded at night on Friday and the weekend but other than those days it’s a chill calm bar where you can sit back relax and have a drink.

We stopped in for before dinner cocktails starting off with margaritas that were no particularly good. Fared better on the second round with my wife ordering a tequila sunrise and me with a sea breeze.

The drop bar used to be the place to be when Green Valley Rach first opened. It is definitely making a comeback again. The atmosphere is great with the perfect music and decoration. This is also a great spot to watch a game; they always have them on the flat screens. I have been here a few times in the last couple months and the bartenders and staff are very friendly and helpful. They know their beer and liquor. This is a great place for the locals to hang out and relax. I’ll be back soon.

Bartenders suck! No personality what so ever. The music use to be great but that went downhill. No drink specials!

This is a fun, little center bar for GVR. You definitely can meet some interesting people here. I went this past Saturday & got to experience Cali Tucker & Ryan Whyte Maloney from Season 6. OMG they were AWESOME!!! I believe they will be playing there one day on the weekends.
I gotta say the video poker machines are tight. I never win anything when I gamble.
I have learned to NOT run a tab with my credit card. I went one night & was gambling & asked what vodka was competed while playing & I ordered two drinks total. I left a tip in the tip glass after each drink & was never asked for a CC OR to pay while drinking these COMPED drinks.
Well once I was done gambling I ordered another drink & gave the female bartender my CC & I ended up getting 2 drinks total with my CC. When it came time to cash out (the female bartender was gone) a male bartender gave me my tab & it had 4 drinks on there.
I informed him that I had got two comped while gambling & had only purchased 2 when not gambling & he basically was like too bad & didn’t take off two drinks. I was so mad! I refused to sign the slip & I didn’t leave him a tip. (Not that he was the one who waited on me anyways) But who does that? Where is his customer service? He didn’t seem to have any customer service skills or give a crap that he was charging me for more drinks then I should have.
Unfortunately I have been back once since then & once I’m done gambling & I want to continue drinking I pay cash for each drink or I use my CC & pay for it right away.
I work hard for my money & I don’t’ appreciate being robbed of it or being charged for drinks that were comped… bad service on his part! Now only if I got his name…

I still have my moves. The music is awesome and really keeps you in the mood.
I love this hotel.

Great little bar Sunday night great music Shawn Eifferman was playing there tonight, one of my favorite Vegas musicians he was with Ryan Whyte Maloney who is also good.

It is a rather small bar inside of GVR, with a small staff, needless to say it will take you awhile to get a drink.
If you are looking for something with barely there lighting, and a small group, then this may be the place for you. It’s very low key.

No longer has hookah :(A friend of mine wanted to go to chill at a hookah lounge we tried calling before we went but didn’t get an answer. So we said we would just try it since it was in Green valley casino which is down the street from me. When we got there the atmosphere was nice live singer but not what we were looking for.
I also felt like something was biting me when I was sitting on the couches.

I’ve been coming in to Drop Bar for over a year, and service is consistently good.
I get «free well drink» tickets every week, when I cash my paycheck, so I always pop in here for a quick shot of whiskey or tequila.
Their well drinks are not great, but they’re higher quality than some places…
Its dark, and sometimes they have live musicians, which is fun.
I can’t comment on the prices, because I always use my free tickets here, but the service is definitely good… I’d probably stop in here for a drink without a ticket, if I’m in the area.

Before we moved to Summerlin, this was our favorite haunt. GREAT service and an amazing crew!

Love the black & purple décor! It was a Friday afternoon. Not to many people! Stephanie was our bartender and she was great! I will definitely come back again!

Went here a few months ago with my ex and it was fabulous! I’ve been to GVR many times, I’m not sure why we didn’t spend more time in this beauty of a bar!
First, it’s dark and cool inside. Good music, attentive bartenders and a smoky, cool vibe that makes you want to burrow in, drink and cuddle all night!
The drinks were out of this world. They don’t skimp on alcohol, that’s for sure! I had started out drinking doubles (what, I’m a DRINKER, it’s what I do) and had to mellow out to singles before too long!
The service was speedy, didn’t have to wait for drinks. The music was loud enough to hear, but low enough to talk over. The furnishings are dark and decadent. You sink in and don’t want to get back up.
I suppose the only downfall is that it’s in the middle of a casino and I prefer to just pull up to my bar and walk into it. Other than that, it’s perfection.

I love this bar and will be making many more appearances to be sure!

This little bar /​lounge is located inside the Green Valley Ranch. Right across from Hanks.
Inside its really laid back with a dark modern contemporary theme.
There are big comfortable couches to relax on and big enough for just 1 or a group. Very cool.
The bartenders and cocktail girls ate all really friendly and will talk and sit with you — if you got it like that.
The drinks options are really any and they’ll accommodate about any request for specialty or exotic liquors. Drink prices are a little on the high side but well worth it if you’re interested in the entire experience.
Theres a huge variance in customer types. So you can go most any day or night and feel that your in the right place. If you have «special needs», then take ur fantasy to that spot (make sure to tell me — just for research of course).
To sum it up: I love this place for a bunch or reasons, but mainly cuz I can relax even when its busy I like the flowwwww.
