Attorney Melanie Tavare graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2007. While there she externed with a Federal Magistrate Judge and participated in the Law School’s Criminal Advocacy Clinic. After graduation, Melanie began practicing bankruptcy law at a busy bankruptcy law firm where she became the head litigation attorney. While at that firm, Melanie argued and won a complex tax discharge case against the Franchise Tax Board in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. After having her second child, Melanie decided to open her own bankruptcy practice so she could continue giving her clients specialized attention and care.
