Don’t come here, the service is horrible.
I came in for two new tires, they told me two hours, I came back two hours later, and they had only put on the tires and told me the alignment would be another hour, the service here is a joke. If you want to see textbook definition of bad service.

this store received an NEGATIVE 5 stars. I brought my 2008 Acadia to store for break pads evaluation. After waiting for an hour and a half, store manager told me my car break pads and rotors were worn out below manufacturing specification. it’s unsafe to drive and need to be replaced. Cost 700 plus dollars. it sounded suspicious. I knew for sure the fact that there’s nothing wrong with the brake rotors. I took my car to the GMC dealer in Fremont to verify and found out that the break pads and rotors are still in good condition. No need to replace. I post this review for Customers BE AWARE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STORE.

Came in for a brake eval. For my 2012 Toyota Camry. Arrived at 8:30am (they opened at today 8am) since I had no appointment. When I arrived there was still a car leftover from yesterday that needed breaks done. That’s when I should have just walked right out the door, but I didn’t. I was told that I could leave the car and they would do the break eval as soon as the 1 brake technician they have who comes in at 10am, got to it and that it would be a 3−4hr wait. Since I had the day off and didn’t need the car for the day I decided to leave it. Got a call at 2pm with a quote, That was WAY more expensive than the Toyota dealer! Save your time and money, don’t come here. The employees aren’t rude but they are overworked and overbooked. The next appointment for a brake change was not until Feb. 22.
If this Sears Auto Center wants to stay in business they need to at least hire more than one brake technician.

I came in here to pickup an online order for a wiper blade for my girlfriend’s car. Upon walking in, I wasn’t greeted or even acknowledged. I waited for about 10 minutes with 3 other frustrated customers who shared their concerns with me. One customer dropped off her car at 8:30am to get a nail removed from her tire and «waited almost 5 hours with them not even contacting me.»
In my experience, I waited for about 20 minutes until I had enough and asked for some help. The worker rudely cut me off and went to the back of the store, not acknowledging me until another 10 minutes or so. Not only that, he picked out the wrong part until I told him that it wasn’t what I paid for.
I’ve never seen such horrible customer service. These people are the very reason why civilians have trouble trusting automotive places. I’ve been in the automotive industry for a long time, and never had such poor service or incompetence.

Brought my SUV in to get my tires rotated. Dropped it off at 10:30am, and was told by Darlene it would be 2 hours, but after walking into Southland mall I looked at my paperwork which stated «promised by 1pm». I didn’t receive a call at 1pm, so I went back at 2pm. My SUV was still in the same spot I parked it in. Walked in, no Darlene in sight, but another customer service person, who moves slower than a snail and acts like he doesn’t want to be there, tells me that they’re waiting for alignment parts for my SUV. I told him I didn’t want an alignment, please have Darlene call me. I walked to the waiting room and looked through the window to see 3 young mechanics standing behind a vehicle on the lift, talking and laughing. They were in no hurry to get back to work even though there were plenty of customers waiting. I left and walked to my brothers house nearby.
At 3:30pm, I called and asked for Darlene. A male answered and said he would get her. After 15 mins of being on hold, I was disconnected. I called back and told them what happened, they didn’t apologize, acted as if it was no big deal and I still had to wait another ten minutes to speak to her. When she got on the phone, I told her about the alignment issue. She said her co-​worker got my SUV mixed up with another one. I’m like… Ok, whatever, what is the status my vehicle? She says, «I’ll find out and call you right back.» Never heard from her until an hour and 15 mins later, when I had to call her back.
At 5:15pm, she answered the phone so cheerfully, as if they were providing excellent customer service, and told me the car was done. Picked it up 15 mins later at 5:30pm. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. On the way out, I glanced into the waiting room and it looked as if the waiting customers were turning into zombies, like the walking dead.
This place is terrible…7 hours for a tire rotation!!! C’MON NOW !!! Sears Automotive-​Hayward, you need to get your act together. From now on I’m going to Sears Auto in Newark.

Bullshit!!! I called the reception desk and asked them if I can come in for brake repair at 3,15p.m they told me I can. So I arrive at 3,30 p. m coming from Oakland. Than they tell me that they cannot do no repair since they close at 5p. m… They made me come all the way from Oakland for nothing thanks a lot…

I saw the poor reviews but decided to give them a chance anyway. I didn’t even make it to the store, I just called on the phone to ask about a battery. The person put me on hold and never came back. There goes the benefit of my doubt.

Don’t really care for this auto center every time I go they are very slow and rude they act like they don’t want to help. When there suppose to be open and u call it rings for days. Stopped in twice to see what was wrong with my tire and they told me they were completely booked and couldn’t even check when I told them I had a slow leak. And I bought my tires there. After that I’ll never buy tires there I’ll look else wear when I need new ones.

What a joke this place is! I got there and waited in line 20 minutes to get a battery. There was only one person helping the 3 people ahead of me. After waiting 15 minutes for the 1^st person to finish the only Sears rep disappeared for 5 minutes while the rest of us continued to wait in line. So I Unilocaled them and saw all the bad reviews and decided I’m not doing business with them!!! They seem very unorganized. The whole time the phone was ringing off the hook. I hope somebody at Sears Corporate is reading these bad reviews… they are true!
UPDATE: I just went to the back where my car was parked and saw 5 mechanics sitting around outside taking a smoke break. Not what I would call professional. Why would anyone come here?!?
UPDATE II: I went to O’Reilly’s right afterward and was in and out in less than 10 minutes with a comparable battery for $ 15 less. No need to ever go to Sears Auto again!!!

CAR OWNERS BEWARE!!! I own a 2000 Jetta and I came in this shop 6 yrs ago for battery change that cost around $ 120 + install $ 9.99. When I called today, the Grease monkey on the phone said that the computer suggest the same battery I bought at $ 198. I suggest to call AAA instead and they will come to your current location and install it for you free. Also, I printed a $ 17.99 Conventional Oil Change coupon from SEARS website and thought would be cheaper than my personal mechanic, but when the Grease monkey punched it in the computer, it suggested only… and insist that only Synthetic oil be used on my car, which will cost me $ 69.99 and negates the savings coupon. Bull$#!^!!! WE ALL KNOW AS CAR OWNERS that you do not need «Synthetic» oil to have a good running car. If you don’t know much about your car or how to maintain it, I don’t recommend you to go to any SEARS Auto. They will just go with what the computer spits out due to liabilities, thinking you won’t know anything about proper maintenance on cars. You will end up overpaying for the repairs and maintenance of your own vehicle. This is very unethical way to do business!!! Your best bet would be to go Walmart or Costco (recommend early mornings) even though it’s slow, but cost is reasonable or find a good local mechanic you trust.
My overall impression of any SEARS Auto in the past… very slow customer service, very unorganized facility and unprofessional employees (although you could get lucky with 1 that is courteous), EXTREMELY OVERPRICED!!! I would not recommend to anyone, unless they fix these issues first or Management needs to re-​evaluate the way they run it.

Don’t bother making an appointment here, times aren’t honored. You’ll waste half your day waiting for a tire rotation!

Very unorganized, and horrible customer service. The guy over the phone talked really lazy, as if he was tired of answering the phone. I gave him my info in order to make the appt. Got there early like he asked, and there was already 8 other people waiting in line for at least 20 min. 4 people with brake job appts, 2 picking up their cars, and customers needing help, then me the alignment appt. Wouldn’t you know, the lazy phone guy was the only one working desks, not only was he slow and disinterested, but he kept going outside to help random customers that would interrupt the line to ask questions.
20 mins later, after constant bitching from the line, another guy comes out to help, then the slow guy disappeared. ;(
30 mins after my appt time (not including the 15 mins I came early), my turn. Lazy guy comes in, my name is already on the board under my appt time, he said he can’t find me in the system! So, I pointed out that I had to be somewhere because my name is on the board, and that he was the one that made the appt for me over the phone!
I look at the other cashier, and asked him to help me. Turns out the guy put all the wrong info in the computer when I made the appt. My last name, and address was completely wrong!!! (sigh)…
Car was promised to be ready 2 hours later, and I was told they would call when finished. I went shopping in the mall, then went to lunch at café. Damn! I realized I was shopping for 4 hours, no call yet… hmmm let me see what’s taking so long.
I called to check status on my car, and some guy tells me, «oh your car been ready! «A courtesy fricken call would have been nice, when people have a life and stuff to do, (not me, but still, professionalism, and courtesy).
Pick up my car, and the alignment either wasn’t done, or done incorrectly. ARE YOU FKING KIDDING ME!!! Who is the damn owner, and why the hell does the manager still have a job, management is obviously just as lousy as the their work, and customer service.

Fking horrible. Came at 3pm for an apt guaranteed to finish at 4:30. That’s when I checked and my car wasn’t even touched its 5:56pm now and they just started. Fking joke of a business. Ended up picking up my car around 6:30pm and car still wasn’t aligned!!! I put my wheel straight and still leans left…

If negative stars was possible this place would get negative 5 stars. Had an appointment at 2 pm to get my oil changed. Nothing else, just my oil changed. Also let me reiterate, I had an appointment at 2. Meaning, they knew I was coming at 2. I showed up a little before my appointment (figured it was good to do paperwork first). They told me it MIGHT not be done until 4 pm. That seemed a bit outrageous, but they also said it could be done earlier than that. I was an idiot and took a chance. They didn’t finish the oil change until almost 5pm! To keep you up to speed, they took over 3 hours to do one oil change on my car even though I had an appointment. Never again will I come here, no matter how cheap. I have learned my lesson and will now be applying the mantra, «You get what you pay for» to simple auto services. STAY AWAY FROM HERE! You’re welcome.

Worst place ever. Would give zero stars but then I cannot write review. They put you on hold forever on phone then hang up or won’t even answer phone. People standing in line have to wait to those that they do answer on the phone. Leaves one person to check in people — cuz others just strikes 3:30pm and they are OFF. My god, at least help customers b4 leaving!!! Will not buy tires here again, would rather go to American Tires. You have now been warned, take your business else where.

Horrible service. When I came for my appointment I witnessed how extremely unprofessional the manager is. He was interacting with an unhappy customer who were making valid points but the manager could care less and was not helpful at all. I drop my car off for 4 new tires and the guy tells me it’ll take 2 hours. I go over to the mall for about an hour and come back to wait in the waiting room. When I sat in the waiting room my car was still parked in front where I left it an hour ago. Another 30 mins later they finally bring it back. But only to sit for another hour before anyone even touched it.
The entire time that I’m in the waiting room I see no one outside working. Where are all the mechanics?! I see them roaming in and out but know one working.
After 2.5 hours I go ask how much longer it’ll be because I’ve been waiting over 2 hours already and the guy tells me another hour! The nerve of these people. This store should not be open. I felt bad for the man who was waiting over 4 hours for his car and he was quoted 1.5 hours.
These people can care less about your time and only work on your car when they feel like it. Save yourself time and go someplace else.

Im waiting to drop off my car and I’m waiting 45 minutes to an hour until I can even drop my car off. Horrible management… If you plan on spending the day here bring your car in. You will be sitting in the waiting room by the vending machines buying and eating till the days over.

I was looking to change the tire for my car stop by talk to the person over the counter. he gave me the price it seems to me expensive. deicided to check prices online I was right and found lower prices I hate bargain so I called couple of different store to check right price I also found Sears online I called online store customer service she told me you can order we can ship to store free and you pick up I said ok but I want also to install so I asked her can you recommend your store so I can install also then she said no problem she transferred to me to the same store .
This time different person I spoke to he was very good and Experienced his name

From start to end he did a great job all the discounts service to everything done great thanks
Only one thing I didn’t like the timing not iin his hand many reviews say the same thing overall I am very happy
