Just arrived at the location trying to check-​in, whoever working front desk wasn’t even there. waited at least 10 minutes before someone showed up to the front. they have this bell up front and we rang it at least 5+ times even called twice. horrible service. hopefully the rooms given will make up for it.

Beware. I noticed a white Nissan coming in and out of the appt with two male Latinas inside. Also there were men going in and out of the appt next to me. That’s really suspicious. I don’t know if the owner knows these men who continued to go in and out or the female staying next door or not but if I noticed it I’m sure they know as well. My theory is that the men in the parking lot were connected to the lady staying next to me. I got the license plate and reported the vehicle to the local police department as I live in Hayward and only staying here because I was getting renovations done to my house. I do not want this type of activity going on in the city I live in. (Pimps/​Prostitution/​Robbery) As the hotel itself it was pretty shitty.

I loved my stay here the people that owned the hotel had great hospitality, the room was very nice like a studio room with couch and kitchen.

The smell in the place was old, the décor was old, paint was peeling off the walls, there was a rip in the couch cushion, and cracks in the walls. If your just looking for a spot to sleep and maybe cook a meal or store things in a fridge, this is the spot. The bed was hard, the toilet and tub was very small. There was even a square in the wall that had a door that was open but not fully because the lamp stand kept it from fully opening. I put something there to keep it closed.

We didn’t book here in advance and was very happy they had rooms available. Its worth the money you pay for. Very nice pillows, silverware, little kitchen, lovely bathroom, bed was comfortable. The only reason its not 5 stars is because the door to the bathroom wouldn’t lock and the TV kept messing up. but I do recommend this place.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! If I could have given this place 0 stars, I would have. I called to reserve a room for my Grandma. I gave them her name, and tried to reserve the room with my credit card. They would not accept it, saying the name on the reservation needed to match the name on the card. I told him to cancel the reservation (that he apparently wasn’t able to reserve anyways), and I told him I’d have my grandma call back and book it with her own card. She decided to go with a different hotel, and never called. A few days later, I received some phone calls at 2am… when I finally answered, it was a very rude man from the hotel asking if I still needed a room. I told him I had never finished making the reservation since he wouldn’t allow me to use a card with a different name. A few days later, I saw they charged $ 121 on my credit card. I called and spoke with someone (sounded like the same guy I’d spoke with in the past). I told him they did not have authorization to charge the card, since they never allowed me to book the reservation. HE HUNG UP ON ME! I called back, and the same thing happened so I was forced to escalate the issue and open a dispute with my bank.

DO NOT STAY HERE! I called to cancel an existing reservation and was assured that the room booked was cancelled. I then made new reservations for a later date. I stayed at the hotel a week later and was charged for both that night and the night that was supposed to be cancelled. When I called and asked for them to remove the first charge, the desk clerk who claimed his name is JAY stated that the individual who cancelled my initial reservation is the hotel manager and is out of the country in Saudi Arabia. «Jay» claimed that the manager is the only individual who can verify I actually cancelled my reservation and this «manager» won’t be back for one month. A week later I called to see if the manager was in and of course he wasn’t. Jay took my call and claimed they would not return my money without the managers permission. Jay said that they had my signature on paperwork from a night I didn’t stay there and he claimed I checked in at 2pm and checked out at 10am. A few days later I called again and Jay stated that their systems showed that I was a «no show» for the day I cancelled. This completely went against the first thing he said. So now I am currently out over one hundred dollars and am awaiting a phone call from a guy who is supposed to come back from Saudi Arabia in a month… Like that will ever happen. On top of that the hotel room I did stay in wasn’t very clean and the curtain was broken so that people could easily see inside my room. The hotel staff members clearly have no regard for their customers seeing as how they take your money and then lie about it. For that I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone. I will never stay in a ghetto hotel such as this ever again.

This hotel was HORRIBLE. our room was supposed to be ready at a certain time and wasnt. we cancelled a previous date and never got our $ refunded. the room is different from website pictures. we asked for a queen size bed and got a full size. Very unprofessional. The curtain was broken, so if someone were to walk by they’d be able to see inside the room! Overall just not a good hotel at all! never ever going back! They need to be shut down asap!!!

It was my second stay here first time i stayed here in january 2014. and it was horrible experience i decided that time i m not gonna stay here again forever but after not getting rooms in surrounding i had no options to call them gentlemen on the phone told he has no room but he can have cancellation and he will let us know after 6:00 PM we thought we are not gonna get room but after i received a call from the manager he told us that he has one room available now if u want to stay we had no options so we went there and It was Great experience while checking in the gentlemen name Asif was so friendly (Not like Previous Manager). After checking in we were surprise to see the room with wooden flooring big spacious room. So, In future it will be my go place every time.

I haven’t even arrived yet and the service is terrible. Whoever was working the desk with the Indian accent was rude and not helpful at all. I wanted to cancel my room right then but it was too late. He wouldn’t help me with directions and also was unwilling to assist when I asked questions about parking. «I cannot help you with directions…» «Find a spot for yourself…»

Let’s just say the first thing I saw was a person smoking meth in the stairwell. Then a gentleman so so kind to offer me a prostitute. When I was getting my stuff out of the car just to top it off I caught a dude pissing in the parking lot. As for the room it smells like a musty old joint. I was so scared I was going to catch a STD I didn’t cover with the blankets. you are better off sleeping in your car

My wife and I used Hotwire to book this hotel to find something affordable. We found the hotel quite nicer than the 2 stars it was listed at… perhaps 2.5 stars at least. Very clean. Nice, large rooms. Comfortable beds. Nice staff (Asif at the front desk was very polite and responsive).
I highly recommend without any reservations.

Beware about staying here if you want good and friendly service. The Satellite TV does not work most of the time and when you try to talk to the front desk, the Owner Asif is exremely rude, hostile and condescending. Seems like differences between cultures along with just plain nastiness in personality makes for truly a mean and despicable person to deal with.

I am in town and decided to stay instead of traveling back to Nevada. The people on the phone were very friendly, and even called me back when there was a cancellation for the last room. The room was clean, and my children all loved it! I will definitely be staying here the next time I come into town.
I use hotels alot and was very pleased :)

So Update: We ended up here for 2 – 3 months. Our house was taking longer to renovate and the experience was fine. We honestly were so happy to get out of there for the fact that its small and cramped for a Fam of Four. I down graded on the review because we were choice rewards members and realized they hadn’t added our points. We called the company and they said they would sort it out, when they called the Rodeway Inn & Suites they claimed that we had NOT stayed there and they had heard of us. We SPOKE and were friendly with them for over 2 months and they suddenly don’t know who we are!!! Are you freaking kidding me? And they called a WEEK after we left… This place is shady and we lost out on almost 3 months of points because they suddenly didn’t know who we were.

. That part of our experience was seamless and easy. After driving 26 miles from San Francisco to here in Hayward, it all started to go down hill. The mean man at the desk told my wife there are no rooms available. Even though our reservation was made earlier through
, he told her that
keeps sending people here even though he’s full. Our rep from
then called this man to try and work with the hotel to take care of us. He was rude, mean, and uncooperative even with the rep from
. As others have written before us, it is strongly advisable that you use your hard earned money to stay elsewhere. Preferably, in a hotel where respect, professionalism, and true customer service abound.

My husband and I recently stayed here for one night. This will be a first impression review. We chose a non smoking suite for obvious reasons. We mainly chose this location because the website said they had a full breakfast in the mornings, where as other locations around it didn’t and it also has free wifi. Checking in was smooth because we made reservations. The only way to get to our room is through stairs, which were VERY dirty. As we walked in the room, we noticed it had a small kitchen that included a fridge, stove, microwave and sink. The bathroom was for the most part clean. I noticed the hair dryer had a lot of dust build-​up and hair. And the toilet paper looked as if someone had just used it. The bed was made, but it still looked messy. As if it was done in a hurry. One of the towels on the bathroom had a gross stain on it and the showers are pretty small. It was all just mediocre. The next morning, we woke up with an appetite and were looking forward to breakfast. When we got there it was all messy, there was barely any options. All you could eat were waffles, plain bread and cereal. The waffles tasted gross, almost like the waffle mix was in there a long time or it had gone bad. The utensils were plastic and they were dusty. You could see the dust on them. It was just overall bad.
I do not recommend this location.

This place is DISGUSTING and FILTHY! There were cigarette burns on the couch, comforter, curtains, countertop, and floor. I walked on the carpet and under my socks turned black because the carpet was soooo dirty. There were hairs in the shower! GROSS! This place needs to be thoroughly deep cleaned and disinfected! Luckily, we didn’t see any roaches or rodents but then again they probably wouldn’t want to stay there either! It’s that bad!
I would NEVER come back to this place!
