The owner is very friendly and has lots of samples for you to try. The spreads aren’t overly sweet. You can really taste the roasted hazelnut and the espresso in the Espresso Chocolate Hazelnut Butter. I really liked that one and the Banana Brown Sugar Almond Butter but ended up getting the Banana Brown Sugar Almond Butter because it’d go with my overnight oatmeals very well. Plus I always have apples and bananas and the Banana Brown Sugar Almond Butter would be amazing with the fresh fruit as dessert without feeling too guilty. Credit Cards accepted

Once you try their butters you want want anything else. In fact everything they make is amazing! I have been buying from them since they started in San Diego and still order from them now. I love every morning with my coffee that I have several choices of yummy butters to choose from. I admit the rocky road and Hazelnut are my fav but I always try something new because its all so good! Yvonne and Katie are awesome human beings, they make sure you are eating clean and enjoying it! Ps. Butters make great holiday gifts, I do it every year!

I stop by this stand every week when I go to the farmers market in San Carlos. I always go and sample their unique flavors and they are always so delicious. The smores butter with the marshmallow is SO good. I could eat it for dessert every day! The lady that runs the booth is always willing to let you try any of the flavors and is very friendly. She also gives suggestions on what to eat some of the butters with. I have gotten their honey sunflower seed butter a bunch of times. I haven’t had any sunflower seed butters that tastes like theirs. It is a great alternative to peanut butter for kids or staff, like me who go to a nut free school. An extra tip: if you bring back your empty jar, you get $ 1 off!

I was at the Half Moon Bay Farmer’s Market and came across their tent. I opted for the sesame seed nut butter — it was amazing! I am so glad to see that they are based out of Hayward so that I dont have to drive all the way to Half Moon Bay if I need a fix

My new most favorite business — holy smokes they make good nut butters! Redwood Shores Farmer’s Market on Fridays. The pumpkin pie almond butter and chocolate caramel peanut butter are to DIE for! They also make a killer macadamia butter. I LOVE the artisinal high quality — so tasty! Jars of these would make GREATXMASPRESENTS!!! Just sayin’ :-) Thanks Nut n Bean! You have restored my faith in humanity. You obviously produce your spreads with an open heart/total love — and it shows! Wow!!!

AWESOMESTUFF! Came across them a few weeks ago at the Belmont Farmer’s Market and each week I have bought at least 2 jars. If you bring a jar back empty you get a $ 1 off. Even my picky son likes the Sunflower smores peanut butter and all of the Whips are fantastic. Great ideas from the girls and it is an added bonus that not only do they taste good, they are made with all natural ing.

Just when I thought ideas for quirky farmers market stands had been tapped out, I came across Nut ‘n Bean’s stand at the new market in Cupertino. They offer a variety of original spreads made of nuts or beans — hummus, pesto, etc. at a fair price. I sampled a couple of their nut butters — e.g. chocolate pretzel peanut butter — and settled on their rosemary almond one for $ 9. Been eating it all week… If you’re stumped with what to do with your purchase, ask the ladies at the stand for their suggestions! They recommended pairing my rosemary almond butter with brussels sprouts and caramelized onions, for instance. If I can get my butt to the store before consuming the whole jar, I may try it. Looking forward to tasting their other offerings.
