History

Established in 1988.

I started out working on the weekends for myself, working for another tree service during the week. I took the Certified Arborist test while working for the other tree service, and was one of the youngest people to pass. Now I have my own business and work for many long time customers in the tri-valley.

Welcome everybody. I am a Certified Arborist with the Western Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture. We have been serving the tri-valley area since 1982. We are a family owned business with a strong client base of many repeat customers. We always welcome new customers to the Nature’s Choice family.

Although they cut down my tree as requested it took longer than it should. They showed up late and didn’t work long. The communication was non existence. I made phone calls and most were unanswered. Even the initial call to offer them the job. I have another tree that I asked to have trim and he offiered to do it as a favor which I really appreciate but of course he never came back. I left 2 voice mails and just asked are you or not? Just let me know either way… but nada. Not sure how they stay in business. I don’t recommend them.

I would never recommend Nature’s Choice. They were unprofessional, never on-time, and it took them forever to finish the job (removing two trees and their stumps). They were supposed to remove a stump on a hill, something Tim told us he would have no problem doing when he gave us our bid but when it came time to removing the stump he carved a bear head out of it instead because he told us he couldn’t remove it after all. Worst part is I still had to pay for the stump removal! He also left his equipment in front of our house for weeks. Anytime I would call to find out where his crew was he would never answer. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor. Take my review as your warning and call a different tree removal company.

We’ve lived in Pleasanton for 14 years and have never had our very tall white alder tree trimmed. After a neighbor complained that it was overgrowing into their yard, we called Nature’s Choice and were impressed by their focus on the tree’s health. Tim and his team came out and within four hours cut off all the dead branches and trimmed back the tree all the way to the top, leaving it looking magnificent. What’s more, they cleaned up the yard so well you’d never know that it was covered in branches only hours earlier. Our next-door neighbor was so impressed that he hired them on the spot and they came out for their trees the next day. Bottom line: friendly, dependable service that we’d highly recommend.

We needed to have our backyard’s 40-year-old silver maple tree trimmed, as we have done every three years or so to extend its good health. We had also been advised that two Scotch pines should be removed from our front yard. Tim Brooke came out, gave us a very reasonable estimate on the trimming and then gave us a solution to our other tree problems. He and his crew came out and did excellent work, even though it was delayed twice due to wild, wicked weather (in May!), and offered advice on how to proceed in the future. He and his crew also cleaned up the fallen branches and leaves from our neighbors’ yards. Our big maple looks great and our curb appeal was improved by the work in the front. We would readily recommend Nature’s Choice!

I called Nature’s Choice two weeks ago when I received a notice from the city of Dublin that I had a dead tree in the front yard that needed to be removed. I was understandably stressed about having to have such a large tree removed. I spoke with Tim and he came out the next day to assess the tree and clearly walked me through the next steps of having it removed. He quickly put my mind at ease and his team did an amazing and very careful job. He even alerted the neighbors of the upcoming work so that they would be aware and could plan to not park in the street while the tree was being removed. Tim will be the first person I call for any additional tree care. Thank you Tim and team!

This company does excellent work. Tim and his team are flexible, reasonable and thorough. He went out of his way to return to our residence a number of days after he completed his tree service to perform touch-up on a few trees we needed to have trimmed. He cleaned the entire areas where he had worked and he offered expert guidance and advise on work we will need to have done in the next 2 – 3 years which we intend to ask him to do. We were very satisfied with Tim and he exceeded all of our expectations. Great to work with him.
