Okay first I have to say IM SO IN LOVE! She’s so personable. I felt like I was talking to an older sister. She made me feel so comfortable! She gave me space to relax and the best part is she changed my hair color! I went to a salon prior to this one and she kept saying my hair would take forever to turn and I would have to see her for more sessions. I went to Nancy and it was worth it! At first I thought my hair was bright, but when I came home I realized how much of an amazing job she did! I love that she takes her time and has so much patience! She’s great and she has amazing customer service ! I’ve been telling everyone about her! She’s awesome!

I don’t understand why she would get 5 stars. I checked her out on Unilocal and tried calling. Got No answer so I left a message. Never got a call back. Very bad business. She definitely lost me as a would have been customer. Was looking for a new stylist. No matter how good you are. If you don’t return a new customer call, your not really that good.

She’s just so good! She perfected the art of giving you want you wanted AND providing her professional suggestions, all while making you feel super comfortable. I wanted to dye my hair with partial highlights but didn’t want something that’ll require a lot of maintenance. She suggested highlights that didn’t stem from the base of my head and used a toner, so that it’ll grow out more natural looking. Love it! Thanks!

I’ve been looking for a stylist closer to me and found Nancy on Unilocal.Never have I gotten my hair done by someone that wasn’t referred by a friend, but I loved the pics of Nancy’s work so much that I made an appointment. So glad that I did! She took the time to listen to what I wanted, made sure she understood what I meant, and made sure I understood what was going to be done… super easy to talk to! I don’t keep up with color well, so she wanted to make sure I would love my hair for months. It’s been more than a month, and I feel like the color just keeps getting better! I love love love Nancy and I’m so happy I made that appointment!

This review is long overdue. Nancy is awesome! She nails it everytime. I have virgin hair and have not colored it for 10 years. I usually come in to just to get a haircut and get my thick hair thinned out but my last visit I decided it was time for a change. I wanted highlights that were more soft and natural looking so I decided to get balayage done and I absolutely loved how it came out. Nancy did a great job and I highly recommend her. Book an appt with her asap because she books up fast.

nancy is super honest and helpful with figuring out what to do if you are a bit unsure or flexible with your hair styling, and if you are sure about it then nancy’s great at just doing exactly what you want.
she’s also very organized, but seems to be super popular so don’t expect to be able to see her for at least a month unless something opens up. make sure if you want her to do your hair by a certain date you contact her pretty early (~1−2 months) in advance for a booking! i’d say at least 2 months in advance, just to be on the safe side.
she’s also very friendly and easy to talk to. great at her job, what more can i say? check her out yourself to get your own opinion

I LOVE Nancy. Just looooove her.
Setting an appointment with her was easy peasy. I called and left her a voicemail and she got back to me right away and fit me in to her schedule. She is understandably very popular so it was about a month between the time I called her and the time I sat in her chair. So if you’re thinking about making an appointment with her, do it now because her bookings can go fast!
Ever since having my daughter, I don’t think I’ve had a hair cut in over two years, and even then it was a trim. When I walked into the salon, my hair was a long hot lifeless mess that was almost down to my butt. I needed a cut and color baaad, Nancy is super friendly, and even though it was my first time meeting her, it felt like I’ve known her for years. She’s always cracking jokes and she is so easy to talk to. My ridiculously long and out-​of-​control hair required me to be at the salon for about 5 hours and it went by fast. Felt like I was hanging out with an old gf!
As soon as I sat down, she looked at the lifeless mess on my head and asked me exactly what it was that I wanted and get this. she actually LISTENED. She let me know what was and wasn’t attainable in one session in terms of color, and gave me honest insight about what she thinks would look best with the style I was looking for. The length and style was exactly what I wanted, and the color she suggested is 100 000 000 better than that idea I came in with. I’ve never had full highlights done before and she was extremely patient and knowledgeable when I asked her a million questions about the process. By the time Nancy was done with my newly fabulous hair, my hair looked SO SMOOTH and HEALTHY! You seriously wouldn’t be able to tell that I pretty much just had every hair on my head bleached.
Nancy is soooo skilled at what she does, and she is fun to talk to. I hope she stays in the bay area forever… well, maybe until I move, and then I hope she will move close to me and do my hair forever.

Nancy did an amazing job with my hair. My hair was red for almost 2 years. When I went to Nancy it had turned into a red-​orange color. Nancy first consulted with me about how I wanted my hair. She took her time and cleared her day. The salon is clean, neat, and had a calmness that made me feel relaxed. Nancy is not only talented, but she is an absolute pleasure to talk to as well. She is hilarious and has an awesome personality that made me feel comfortable. Nancy took her time and when she was done I was in complete awe that she was successfully able to transform my hair. Nancy is my new go to girl for color and cut!

Nancy is a rockstar! I have finally found my new stylist and she is friendly. She listens to what you want and what you don’t want, she gives a great head massage while shampooing and she’s not rough like some stylist I’ve endured over time.
I am so happy with my hair that I I’m going to make an appointment for color, she does it all right and I don’t want to mess up my hair now, haha.
The salon is gorgeous, clean, calm and big so you don’t feel crammed. They are by appointment only, which is good so you or the stylist do not feel rushed, plus you don’t have everyone and their mother staring at you while you get your hair done. once figure out how to post a picture i will show you the before and after. If you have short hair, Nancy is your girl!

My friend and I were part of a bridal party, so on the day of the wedding we had Nancy and Nina do our hair and makeup.
They are an amazing and talented sister duo who are really fun and chill. As others have said they are hilarious to be around and make you feel at ease. They definitely keep you entertained while you are getting styled.
My hair and makeup stayed/​held up all day and night (8am-10:30pm). What was most impressive to me is that my curls held. I have really fine silky asian hair so that sometimes can be a challenge. The bride REALLY LOVED our hair and makeup (and secretly told me she liked it a little more than her own)
I highly recommend Nancy and Nina. When it’s my turn to get married. . I will be calling!

Nancy and Nina are an awesome tag team duo. The sisters are great to work with. They have great chemistry together when they worked on my wife for our wedding. Nancy specialized in hair and Nina did her makeup. Nancy, is pretty much always booked and very busy. Be patient, and she’ll get back to you.
They came early and ready to go on our wedding day. They took great care of my wife. Very professional!
They really know their speciality and will make great suggesstions. Even if you’re not hiring them for hair and makeup you should meet them.
They are hilarious and so fun to be around. They will crack jokes for hours. They’ll make you feel right at home and ease your stress about wedding planning. I would highly recommend Nancy and Nina for your wedding hair and makeup needs and that’s coming from a guy.

I came here on a whim after reading the great reviews of Nancy. I have to say, it was the best choice I’ve ever made with a hair stylist! I didn’t have a particular cut or style in mind and we talked it through to figure out what suited me. I trusted her completely and she didn’t disappoint. Very friendly and nice, great prices, I’m definitely going to come back when I need another haircut. Thank you so much again Nancy!

I went to Nancy with a mop on my head and in need of a fresh cut. Not knowing exactly what I wanted to do with it, I showed her a few pictures and she gave me an honest opinion on what style would work on me and what didn’t. I can definitely tell she takes a lot of pride in her work. After meticulously chopping away at my hair, out came a masterpiece! Now I can’t stop looking at myself in the mirror ;)

Nancy is super friendly and listens to concerns with my hair. Like the previous reviewer wrote, Nancy does not rush me out the door. I had a question about coloring, and she patiently explained the differences. I have a sensitive scalp and opted for semi-​permanent color, which looks very natural. Her cuts are flattering as well… they take years off my face (yay for me)! I’ve been going to her for more than a year and look forward to each visit, because I know she will do a great job.
I recommend booking an appointment ahead of time, because she gets busy.

Nancy is my hair gal. I have seen her twice now and both times I left very satisfied and feeling sex-​ay.
She listens and give her honest opinion which I respect. Since Nancy is the hair guru I leave it in her talented scissored hands.
She takes her time from start to finish and makes sure I leave content with my new do. A shampoo with a relaxing head massage, cut, blow dry and style it takes about an hour and a half. She doesn’t rush clients in and out.
Bliss is a beautiful modern salon, easy to get to and the other employees are friendly.
Nancy is worth the price for the high end job she performs.

No lie, this is my 3^rd visit with Nancy to touch up my highlights and get a haircut. she makes me happier with each visit. This time around I had nervously requested her to lighten the overall tone and highlights… the results were better than I even imagined.
How is she so damn good?
Before I left, I pleaded with her to never ever leave the area.

I have no idea how, but she read my mind. She finished my sentence for me as I was describing what I wanted.
She patiently talks with you about what you want, then explains what she is going to do so that you are AWARE of what will happen to your hair.
She knows everything.

Be sure to ask her how to style your hair because when I showered after, and tried to style my bangs, I couldn’t do it. Not her fault, mine for not asking.
I think she gives all her first clients a 20% discount. I believe the price for a wash, cut, and style is $ 60 – 65
She offers complimentary trims if you get bangs.
Parking is on the street. A street can get very busy so leave early to get to your appointment on time.

I’ve been searching for someone to get my hair done RIGHT the first time! She listens. She follows-​up. She even picks up the phone when she’s not at the salon!
The salon itself is a bit tricky to find. It’s upstairs in the corner building of A Street, but I quickly found it when I parked.
I came in on a weekday morning and before I stepped into the salon, she knew what I needed/​wanted/​expected. She would give me her professional advice when it was needed and always calmed me down when I set my own personal expectations too high!
I remember her saying «You’ll love short hair after I’m done with you.» Me thinking «Pfft, I want to GROW out my hair! Not leave it short!» But amazingly, this is the cutest bob I’ve had! Why didn’t I go to her when I chopped off 10 inches of hair?!
Now that I’ve found her, I promise I won’t stray! I have red highlights/​low lights for the Spring/​Summer and I can’t wait for the next Winter since we already discussed what we’re doing next!
OH! And she’s super fun to chat with, like a long lost girlfriend! But if you like to look at magazines, she’ll let you have your time reading!

I’ve been wanting a change for some time and stumbled across Nancy Vu-​Ha via Unilocal… go figure… my first thought was «im sure she had her family and friends Unilocal all the positive reviews»…only way is to know is to find out for myself and form an opinion.
I came in mainly to get a highlight… not knowing what i wanted and discussing options with her for about 10 minutes, I finally said «i trust you»…hmmm…oddly i really did having never met her before!
Nancy was patient, knowledgeable and professional and just a friendly person who gave me one of the best highlights ever! Also she gave me some great tips on styling… She’s awesome! Deserves all the 5-​star Unilocal reviews.
It’s true, parking is a pain… located above A Street Café, next to the Reptile Room with street parking only… regardless, Nancy is totally worth the parking hassle!
