We have had many pieces done by Lloyd over the past several years. He is extremely talented and has amazed us on every single piece that he has brought back to life. His shop is old school and he is a very humble and unassuming man, so it would be easy for the uninitiated to underestimate his abilities, but trust me, he will do great work. His pricing is extremely affordable and he has always come through and had the pieces ready when he promised. Most recenly, he resurected two 100 year old couches for us and they look amazing. It helps if you have an idea of what you want when you bring a project in. He does not have a show room or any fancy computer rendering. He will have some sample fabrics and a job book with some photos of work he has completed in the past 50+ or so years. It workes best if you have a good idea of what you want. He is not a salesman and will not try to pursuede you push you in one direction, but rather if you have a general idea he will help you execute and exceed your expectations. We just brought him 3 chairs that were given to us that have a great shape and are very comfortable but are wrapped in a hidious patern. Lloyd had some left over material from our couch so he offered to use the same so it would match as well as he would not have to charge us for new material. He is a very honest guy. Lastly, his prices are an extreme value. You are paying for a true craftsman and for custom work, so it helps to keep that in mind. Most of our furniture is not super valuable so sometimes it seems more economic to buy a new piece vs. restoring something old. I’ve had my doubts on many projects, but every single time when we go to pick up the piece, when I see the final project, its amazing the sense of accomplishment you get from not giving up on a piece and seeing your customized final project come to life. Each piece now has a story and the color scheme that we picked makes the whole house look like a desinger took over and decorated the place. So if you have an old chair or a couch with ugly fabric, don’t be affraid to give Lloyd a call, you will be pleasantly surprised and have a great story at the end of his hard work!
