Hayward Village Senior Apartments

I moved into this building when it was only a few years old. At the time they had a move in special which I appreciated. The apartment was small but well laid out. During the year and a half I lived there, the building manager changed 4 times. Each manager was arbitrary in what rules they set and who they enforced them for. It seemed to me that if the manager started to do things for the tenants, they were immediately let go. The hot tub had green scum on it at one point and only was fixed when the health department was contacted. When I first moved in, I asked about recycling and was told that Hayward didn’t offer it. It turned out that it was included in the contract for garbage pick up and the manager of the moment didn’t want to bother. The whole time I lived there I felt that the management attitude to seniors was disrespectful.
