Breath of Fresh Air Events

We hired Frankie, Cristina, and T’keyah as «day of» coordinators for our October 2015 wedding, but they were SO MUCH more than that, and we cannot thank them enough.
We originally went into the planning process of our very-​DIY wedding thinking that we would do everything ourselves on the big day with the help of family & friends, but as we got closer we realized just how much work that would be for everyone involved. We found BofA Events on Unilocal,met with Frankie, and never looked back. Frankie was great to work with — she answers emails as fast as if you sent her a text, and she thinks of everything you never would have on your own. Because we were getting married at my husband’s parents’ home, and because we had already done so much of the planning on our own, we still wanted to be as hands-​on as possible, and Frankie understood and supported that. She helped us construct a timeline, coordinated things with our vendors, came to our venue for a walk-​through and helped us draw out a floor plan, and seriously helped us stay sane in the two months leading up to the wedding. Even though her lead coordinators, Cristina and T’keyah, were the ones who worked with us during the actual wedding day (Frankie had a previously scheduled event she was working the same day), Frankie still drove all the way out to our venue before her own event to check in, say hello, and make sure that I was «being a bride» and not working up until I walked down the aisle. That day, Cristina and T’keyah were amazing — they constantly checked in with us, our families, and our wedding party to make sure that everything was okay and see if anything was needed. When something came up, they were quick to fix it before we were even aware something was amiss– and that’s exactly how it should be. Frankie and her team make you feel as though you are their only priority; we felt as though we were working with friends and were at ease every step of the way.
The ladies of BofA are responsive, attentive, and supportive. They are truly a joy to work with and we could not have pulled off our DIY wedding without them. Their motto is that they want people to be a guest at their own wedding, and we truly were. If anyone out there is planning their own wedding, I HIGHLY recommend hiring BofA to help with timeline/​vendor coordination, rehearsal, & day of coordination — you’ve worked so hard and you want to enjoy yourselves on your wedding day. Frankie and her team will make sure that you are able to do just that!

For those rare times when you meet and kick ass wedding coordinator. She dealt with power outage during setup, waking up the groom because he partied to hard the night before and over slept, dealing with the wedding couple deciding to make big last minute changes during the wedding and still manages to have awesome smile at the end of the day. Frankie, I enjoyed working with you again and I love your positive energy you brought to the wedding scene. DJ Mike.

Frankie and team are incredible! Frankie was the day-​of coordinator for my wedding but did so much more. We met with her a few times before the wedding and fell in love with her energy and professionalism. Frankie and team put together an impeccable day-​of timeline, she made sure all the vendors knew the plan, she ran the rehearsal, and she came to my apartment to pick up all the day-​of wedding stuff (i.e wine, decorations, guest book, etc.). Frankie truly made the day run smoothly and made sure my mom, my husband and I had absolutely nothing to worry about.
I can’t thank Frankie enough for making my wedding day the best day of my life. I highly recommend her services and recommend her to anyone who is planning a wedding or big party.

I don’t really have words to explain what Frankie did for us. At the beginning it was kinda hard because she had never planned Indian wedding but the way she handled everything mainly on the day of reception was more than awesome. From all of my 6 different events my reception was the one where I had her and that was the only event I actually got to enjoy just because of her.
Her personality is great she did fit in with the Indian crew amazingly well.
Now I have a permanent planner and great friend I know In this country. I loved her.
If you want to get her and your from different nationalities explain what you expect and she will do anything to make that happen.

Frankie and Christina did an excellent job at paying attention to details. I had my dress and shoes I wore as a baby and they were able to incorporated into the décor. Also Frankie was my advocate with the establishment while I enjoyed my 50^th birthday party. Never skipping a beat. I would highly recommend them for any event.

Frankie and her team did a really nice job as my day-​of wedding coordinators! You get a range of services with her day-​of package that are definitely worth more than what she charges. She is extremely reliable, responsive, and has a great personality!

Frankie helped me with all 3 of my son’s bar mitzvahs. She was super organized, had great suggestions and allowed me to really enjoy my events. She kept the timelines, managed the communications with all my vendors and was a pleasure to work with on the day of. You cannot go wrong using Frankie for whatever event you may have!

Frankie and Cristina are an amazing team! I began with only a single color that my daughter liked for her sweet 16 birthday party and they created a theme and made magic. They designed a room with winter elements that left the guests speechless!!! They were thoughtful and amazingly detailed. Our hopes were turned into visions. Thank you both!!!

I want to thank Frankie for the beautiful job she did on my sister’s wedding this weekend! She had a small venue with limited space in a bar/​club and I swear it felt like we were in our little world. Our section of the venue was decorated so lovely and elegant, I forgot there was a bar behind us! Frankie went above and beyond what I expected and managed every detail with care and consideration of our budget as well as the bride’s desires. I cannot wait until my next event that she will plan and coordinate beginning to end! Great Job Frankie. Thanks for making everything amazing!

Frankie and staff are a pleasure to work with, are very professional, reliable and cost effective! We hired Frankie from the beginning because i knew i needed all the help I could get being a full-​time graduate student.
Her fee for us was $ 700, my friends who only hired her for the day-​of was around half that cost (maybe less i don’t remember). So i think her fee depends on how involved you want her to be in your planning.
What you get for the money is a person who is is full of life, animation and above all is a pro in crisis management. The actual day of the wedding ran absolutely flawlessly. she knows how to handle the tiny details, such as making sure i wasn’t left carrying someone’s gift around or leaving my bouquet out of water for too long to avoid wilting. Before the big day she collected and called all the vendors to make sure she was the contact and nothing was left in the cracks or put on us to deal with as we got ready. it was such a relief not to worry about who was or wasn’t there yet! We had 100% confidence that everything would get done.
We also used her staff, florist and rentals because we just didn’t have the time to try to find places and her costs were very competitive. On the actual day all the staff were pros seemed kind and just happy to be there. I had only sent her some pictures of the flowers i wanted, so was a little nervous how it was going to look. Not really expecting a photocopy of what i had sent her. But it was darn well close! Christina, the creative side of the company really delivered! Couldn’t have asked for more!
One last thing is towards the end of the planning process my fiancé and I were feeling strapped for cash but really wanted some sort of photobooth without the cost of the rental, which usually is around $ 400 – 700 depending on the company. Well have no fear Frankie was there to make our wish came true for a quarter of the price. They created their own photobooth complete with a backdrop, props and instant camera! Guests loved it!
My mother-​in-​law commented that Frankie and Christina were worth twice their fee!

This was my second time having Frankie and her team help coordinate on the day of my event — she helped me be a guest at both my sons’ bar mitzvahs, and I couldn’t be happier that Frankie was on board and running things while I enjoyed the parties.
There was plenty to deal with that day — caterer late with the food, cake delivered late, etc — but Frankie handles everything with aplomb and takes in stride. She even made a photo board on her own, to help guests understand their seating assignments. During both events, whenever I needed something or there was a detail that needed attention — FRANKIE. WAS. ON. IT. It’s incredibly reassuring to have her at your event, because you know she follows through on details and does plenty of troubleshooting. And all with a smile and a fabulous sense of humor — she’s fun to be around and plenty adorable, which keeps even the most stressed hostess in a good mood.

I reached out to Christina about some flower arrangements for my daughters first birthday. We set up a meeting asap and I met with Frankie. It never crossed my mind to have a event planning company help us out on planning a first birthday party. However my husband and I had a vision of what we wanted for our little princess (Alaila) and it was not just a ordinary first birthday party. We wanted our guest to be wowed and to remember that night forever. From the Linens to the entertainment it was perfect! All my guest left so satisfied but most important the guest of honor enjoyed herself the entire night. Having Breath of Fresh Air Event allowed my husband and I to enjoy this special day. From the first meeting to the day of the event Frankie and her staff took care of everything never once did I have to stress about anything. I will never forget walking into the ballroom and seeing everything that we had envisioned for months come together! I am eternally grateful to Frankie and her entire staff. Can’t wait to plan another event with Breath of Fresh Air Events.

My husband asked me to marry him on August 6^th 2013, and he wanted to be married before the new year. We pushed the date all the way back to January 1 of 2014 for our wedding. That still only gave us about 90 days to plan a nice small family wedding. Even with the nice small family part I was still way in over my head. Initially my sister told me Frankie of Breathe of Fresh Air events could do my bouquet, so that is what I called on Frankie for. Once I spoke to her about the bouquet and we kept chatting it was clear to me she could handle the whole thing. What a SIGH OF RELIEF. I basically told Frankie my vision and my budget. I told her what I had already done and which friends of mine would be helping with things like photographs and styling. Frankie went on to coordinate all of the rest of the wedding including the bouquet, flowers, decorations, catering, my hair peace, the timing of events for the day. She supplied the chairs and sound system as well. Cristina’s creativity and understanding of my vision made for a beautiful bouquet and hair feathers to complete my wedding look. The groom was so excited that after the wedding while we were taking our pics Frankie magically appeared with a snack plate. LOL He said to me «That was just what I needed right then.» We had a beautiful day. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

This review is long overdue since we my husband and I got Married back in August. All we can say is that Frankie was AMAZING!!! We hired her a couple of weeks before our wedding and we wish we would have hired her when we first started planning. We specifically hired her for «day of» services but she was already helping us days in advance and she made our wedding day stress-​free. She was so great to work with and we received so many compliments from our guests! I don’t know what we would have done with Frankie but I know she was the reason why we were able to enjoy our wedding and we knew that we could trust her 1000%.

Getting married has to be one of the most exciting and stressful times in my life! I was referred to Frankie from my friend Maribel (she did Maribel’s wedding in 2011). And Maribel raved about Frankie and I just had to call her. Having a large Filipino family, divorced parents, and the in laws coming from England… Someone with SKILLS and a bullet proof vest would need to handle it and it definitely was Frankie!
Her team from Breath of Fresh Air Events helped coordinate my wedding event at Mira Vista Country Club in El Cerrito. I couldn’t imagine not having a wedding coordinator. Frankie was in contact with all my vendors, helped me with my ceremony programs, dinner menu, place cards, the flowers and bouquets (I loved my flowers and bridesmaid and bridal bouquets!) I wanted my event to be beautiful, simple and thoughtful. I didn’t do any work the day of my wedding… I basically got ready and showed up to Mira Vista while Frankie and her team were running around.
Yes there was DRAMA… It rained on September 21 and I really wanted to have the ceremony outside and it was sunny all week prior to the day, Frankie said she did the rain dance and I got lucky, we got married outside :) Later that night, the cops showed up because one of my vendors whom I rented the chivari chairs from did shady business with a third party. And Frankie, again, worked her magic and took care of it!!!
She is a wonderful person, very down to earth, bubbly, sweet, dedicated and goes above and beyond… when I have another big event, she will be the one I call. Thanks Frankie and Breath of Fresh Air Events for our beautiful wedding!!!

Frankie and Christina from Breath of Fresh Air Events were amazing to work with! I just got married, and I used their event planning services to oversee my reception at the Terrace Room in Oakland, CA.
After my first meeting with Frankie, she immediately contacted my vendors and created a schedule for my wedding day so I didn’t have to worry about anything. Her co-​worker, Christina, was on-​site during the event, and she was great at handling the vendors, decorations, communication, etc., and she made me feel at ease the entire time. They made the reception area look beautiful, and the whole night was perfect.

When I first met met Frankie (owner) I talked to her for hours, I knew I found my wedding organizer and a new FRIEND! My wedding was beautiful and best of all stress free because of her! As busy as she is, she did not mind to meet with us and answer all questions we had. The day of the wedding, she came to the hotel to check up on us and even brought us food and champagne to calm our nerves.
Bottom line: If there were things I need to worry about, she took care of. I felt the sense of comfort and trust when I saw her during my special day. My husband and I will always be grateful to her and her staff … Very very recommended !!! You’ll be in good hands

I used this company for a semi-​surprise 40^th birthday party for my boyfriend. I was given a spot on estimate and the owner was very professional and creative. I was amazed at she was able to transform my dining area. He still talks about the party and how nice everything was and that was 3 years ago. The staff was prompt, neat, courteous and thorough. I highly recommend them for any event you may need to plan.
