All-Guard Alarm Systems

I have had four false alarms go off in the span of 4 days when I was out of town. The police were called and everything was in tact. All Guard did not call or notify me of the problem; the police dept. called to inform me. I have been a long time customer but this is terrible customer service. I believe it is cheaper to do your own monitoring these days.

I purchased an All-​Guard Alarm Systems and from the sales representative, Sean Cooke, to the installation was excellent. The technician made sure all my questions were answered when he completed installing the system. All the employees are very helpful with service.

We just installed a door access system with All-​Guard for our business and couldn’t be more pleased. We used ADT on our first business location and the experience was awful — high-​pressure sales, long waits on hold, and a generally impersonal experience. All-​Guard was sooo much better! Randall was our sales rep and a genuinely nice and knowledgeable person to work with. Super responsive — he even came out on Easter weekend to fix a problem we had created. Jose, the installer, was very professional and diligent and pleasant to work with. And Steve in the service department has been extremely helpful with our system set up, answering all of my questions, and customizing it to our needs. I’m also really liking the Virtual Keypad App and talking to them about switching our other business over to this system, as well.

We recently completed the installation and set up of our home alarm and surveillance system with All-​Guard. I have a wonderful working relationship with our salesman, Lior, who every step of the way made sure things were taken care of. He provided excellent communication throughout the process and I was pleased with the superior level of technical knowledge he has. Our home had some very unique challenges and he remained positive and diligently problem solved with each quirky challenge. Thanks Lior and All-​Guard technical support staff!

This company is terrible. After dealing with customer service reps who could not seem to get things done, I eventually spoke to the owner who started his conversation in a very confrontational manner. Dennis, the owner, behaves like a bully, and does not value his customers’ business. He told me that he has customers with multiple accounts, and since I only have one (despite having been a customer for years) he will not go out of his way to help me. I’m not sure what kind of customer service business operates under such a terrible customer service model, but they seem to still be in business. I have to assume from the majority of their previous reviews, that it’s only because they trap their customers into contracts, and provide better service to their large customers than they do their small customers.
In regards to their actual service, it is just ok. I would give it two stars, tops. Honestly, I will go with a different alarm company next time, and will make this suggestion to anyone I know, as well.

This company bought my home monitoring «contract». Four days after the transfer, I called them to tell them I had no monitoring contract with the previous company and I especially had no agreement with All-​Guard Alarm. The previous company did monitor my house for the last 21 years, but I had no monitoring contract with them, just the original install. They sent me a copy of the original contract and yes, the monitoring part of the original contract was crossed out. They are now threatening me with collections if I don’t pay for an entire month in advance. What a crock — if my old non-​monitor contract was valid, why did they try to get me to sign a new three year agreement? STAY AWAY — I was still evaluating who to use for monitoring, now I have eliminated this shifty company for consideration.

My landlord recommended All-​Guard after several break-​ins in our commercial building. From the start, All-​Guard was so easy to work with. I told the person on the phone that I needed someone to come out immediately. As it was near the holidays, the schedule was tight, but when I explained that I wanted to get a system in place before leaving town for a short trip, she made sure that Lior came out for a quote right away and she assured me that, if I wanted to move forward, the system could be installed before my trip. Lior was terrific– very informative, professional and direct. He assessed the situation and made a recommendation that seemed appropriate. The installation occurred a few days later. My installer was an absolute professional – very experienced and detail oriented. I love my system! Especially the fact that I can operate it remotely from my phone. I have absolute peace of mind when I am away from my workplace. All-​Guard is wonderful and I highly recommend them.

We’ve had a great experience with All Guard from the sales representative to the installation and technician to the quality of the system. All the employees are very helpful. The installation was expertly done. We couldn’t be happier and most importantly I feel so much safer knowing I have a quality alarm company to protect us and our possessions.

I have been an All-​Guard customer for 21 years. We inherited the service when we purchased our house.
Overall, I have been very pleased. When alarms are triggered, they call and confirm status.
We just had a break-​in (first one in 21 years), however the alarm sounded (motion detector) and the intruders left. I got the call from All-​Guard and did the necessary follow up, Not a pleasant event, but the alarm did its job.
We just added a camera system (sheriffs deputies asked if we had video — now we do). It is easily configured via an app on iPhone and ipad devices, and can be accessed via the web.
Unfortunately, crime can now commute, so it is best to be prepared for the remote possibility of an intrusion by maintaining and setting an alarm.
I believe All-​Guard is a Northern California regional private company.

All-​Guard is the only way to go for residential security. My family has had All-​Guard protection in their home for 20 years. Recently, they needed an upgrade to their system and the entire process was pleasant. Very knowledgeable techs – and I can’t say enough about Lior Klisman, the rep who helped with the upgrade. So professional. When it comes to home security – there’s no way we’d go with a giant media company. This is too important – and All-​Guard is always local, always there – calling immediately even when we set the alarm off by mistake. Great company. Please keep up the great service!

I recently managed an expansion/​relocation project for a business moving from San Leandro to Oakland. We had been with All-​Guard for security monitoring in our original location for several years and chose to contract with them for our new offices as well. It was the right decision.
All-Guard’s rep, Lior, was genuinely interested in making sure our security needs were met, carefully assessing each door, window, and possible entry point of our new site.
The installer, who arrived on time as promised, installed the system efficiently and carefully. He explained how the system operated in a way that I could easily explain to my clients.
I have nothing but good things to say about Lior and the entire All-​Guard team.

I am a project coordinator for a business in South San Francisco. When we chose that area to open our headquarters I personally met with quite a few security companies. Our company chose All-​Guard because of their very competitive long term rates and equipment costs. As well as their very useful and knowledgeable rep Lior.
After working with Lior on security options, they sent out their installer a few days later (who also was extremely knowledgeable) and put the system in place. He showed me how the whole system worked and bang it was all done.
We have had the system up and running for a few weeks now with no incidents and our employees have had no problem using the onsite as well as the remote login systems.
I would just like to say thanks to Lior and the team at All-​Guard.

I co-​own a business in Castro Valley. When we moved into our first location, it was being monitored by ISP, another local alarm company. Halfway through our time there, ISP was purchased by All Guard. It was a seamless transition and we had no complaints what so ever.
When we moved to a new location, we contacted All Guard to continue our service at the new spot. The sales rep, Lior, was knowledgeable and efficient in getting us a plan and a price that was extremely reasonable, both for the equipment required and the monitoring service we needed.
Installation was also uneventful and everything was up and running as promised. Our walk through lesson with the service tech who installed the new equipment was very thorough and easy enough. And dealing with the billing and plan change due to the move to the new location also took place as expected. And during the first 2 months, what times they’ve been needed, everything was promptly dealt with and handled professionally.
When owning your own business, there is nothing better than when a vendor you hire to do a job does it as planned and expected and on budget. Especially when it comes to the security of that business. Because, let me tell you, there are plenty of other stressful things to deal with!

Professionals at entrapment is a very accurate statement for this company. I was also a former Armor Clad Security customer and these guys are not even remotely close to offering the level of customer service I received from Armor Clad. They are very sneaky about locking you in year after year to their contracts. The owner doesn’t seem to care about his customers at all. I spoke with him about lowering my rate in an attempt to save myself the hassle of having to switch alarm companies and he offered me a two dollar discount. What a joke! Doesn’t it make good business sense to lower my rate and keep my recurring revenue in your pocket for years to come rather than be inflexible on the price and lose me to a competitor? When I called in to receive a quote for upgrading my equipment the cost was several thousand dollars plus a new three-​year contract. Do yourself a favor and call Vivint, AT&T, ADT, Simplisafe, or Frontpoint. You will find much better technology, lower monthly rates, and much friendlier and capable customer service. All Guard must be losing customers on a daily basis. They will never survive these newer, more advanced, more capable alarm companies.

Thumbs down first impression. Called the 800# and got transferred to voice mail of an Ashley Jesus who is out of office until next week. Receptionist in Sales said she’s their only rep. Huh?! Called back operator and was given another persons phone number (Shawn) who doesn’t answer and has no message on his voice mail it just beeps. Yeah not confident in using them for a possible burglary!!! No thank you.

I highly recommend getting multiple quotes when searching for a service. I never had an issue with the equipment I purchased or the monitoring service. It was installed quickly and easy to use. Their customer service on the other hand is mostly unresponsive and untrained unless they are collecting money. They capitalize on your personal vulnerability. Word of caution. Be careful when dealing with this «family business». It’s a selling tactic they use and I generally like to support small business. I was really wrong this time. I just sold my home and am making sure the future buyers use anyone but them. I rarely write reviews and have waited over a week to post this to make sure I was being as objective as possible. Just be careful when dealing with these people and read the other reviews. To quote another reviewers comment «I was legally robbed». Please read other reviews before doing business with this company.

Stay away!!! This company bought out my contract from «Armor Clad Security». I got tired of paying $ 46 a month for about 4 years now so I called them today to cancel the service only to find out they put me on a automatic yearly contract without my signature!!! I’m not sure how these people get away with this!!! I HATE BEING UNDER CONTRACTS! Under my signed contract I was only supposed to be under contract for 2 years then it’s always been month to month, but then this company «All-​guard alarm systems inc» comes around and make changes without my approval or signature. DO NOT SIGN OR GET THIS COMPANY AS YOUR ALARM MONITORING SERVICE. They are professionals at entrapment. Still trying to get out of this fake «contract» they made up when they bought «Armor Clad Security». I never signed any new contract with this company, they just made one up for me without my signature. I then had my wife call and they told her they needed a 30 day notice to cancel and we would have to pay yet another $ 46 for the Month of May. A week later I was testing my alarm and found out they were not monitoring our home for the month of May despite asking us to pay and receiving the funds as normally scheduled. My wife then called again and they denied asking us to pay for the month of May. If we hadn’t tested our alarm during the last month of service, we would not have know that this company pockets the last months fees and does not provide any monitoring for that last month. It was only because we caught them in the act, that we were able to ask for our money back for month of May! Do not use this company!

Installment went smooth and quickly.

We recently had All Guard install a brand new burglar alarm system and video surveillance system in our home. Everything went as smoothly as possible. The installers were on time, efficient and professional. They took a lot of time showing me how to use the system, both from the wall control pad to my computer to my smart phone.
The technology is so cool and very easy to use. I can watch the video cameras on a computer or my iphone when I’m not home. I can also turn the alarm on and off remotely from my iphone or easily from the key fob attached to my car keys. Best of all is the peace of mind when I get home knowing nobody is in my house or has been in my house… and of course sleeping at night knowing there’s no way anyone could «sneak» in (and my kids can’t sneak out for that matter!)
I definitely would recommend All Guard. I wish we had installed an alarm a long time ago!

I recently purchased a business in Hayward. The former owner used All-​Guard and she recommended that I should stay with them. I called in and requested change of ownership. The response was prompt. Spoke to Sue and she was very professional and polite. Within two days the technician, Nathan, was at my business. He checked everything thoroughly and made sure things were working properly. He changed the battery at no charge. Explained everything to me. Was a great experience. Recommend All-​Guard to anyone.

I’ve been a customer with All-​Guard for the past three years. The service has been marginal at best. Unfortunately, the response time for our «false alarms» were not up to par. I was even told that my alarm went off (by a neighbor) while I was away on a business trip. I was never notified, nor was the local police called. It was a false alarm by a family member who went to check in on my dogs. Had it been a real emergency my stuff would have been all over Craigslist turning a profit for some unsavory characters.
Like other people on this site, I cancelled my service with them. When I was cancelling my service, I specifically asked what my remaining balance was so that I could sever all ties with them in a clean and orderly fashion.
Fast forward three months later and I’m told that I have a balance of $ 20 and that it would go to collections if I didn’t pay it (horrible customer service). I told their finance department my conversation when I originally cancelled the service. No dice. They wanted their money and they wanted it bad.
I figure it cost me an extra $ 20 to learn the true meaning of poor customer service. I would not recommend them when their are so many reputable solutions on the market. All-Guard’s a joke.

I was a customer of All-Guard’s from 2010 – 2013. I would not recommend them.
The service was OK, but later found out I paid $ 10/​month more than a lot of other customers, just because I didn’t want to pretend to cancel the service. A year or so ago I asked over and over to get monitoring on my iPhone, which they offered for free to new customers, but they would not give it to me. I would have had to pay over $ 200 for it.
I also had an issue with my alarm going off when I accidentally hit the panic button, and the police arriving and charging me. I did not know they would charge me a fee to come out and that should have been brought up to me when I purchased the system, or they could have warned me when they called to check my signal! They absolutely refused to help me with any of the cost of the $ 175. I should have gotten rid of them at that point, but I did not. I recently canceled my service and went with a competitor that I am happy with and who gave me wireless service at no extra charge.

After 30 years with All-​Guard, we moved last month to So. Cal. to be closer to family. We contacted All-​Guard to terminate service and they could not have been nicer. They are the only utility we had on automatic pay on our credit card. When a charge came through this month, we contacted them as service had been cancelled and notice given. All-​Guard said the notice must be 30 days prior to terminating service or an additional month is charged. Since they have access to our credit card, we have little recourse.
They were a fine company with which to do business but this final charge is an abuse of their access to our finances. They can terminate service with virtually no cost and almost instantly. After 30+ years of doing business and providing cash flow to them, this is hugely disappointing.
I strongly encourage anyone new to look into monitoring services that bill less and do not require access to a credit card. Very bad customer relations.

Very rude service dept. Misinforming and they were giving me an attitude over the phone. I had spoken to 3 different people, 2 female and a male. They tell you what they think not what you need. After my leased is up I will never ever again do business with this company. I recommend you do the same
