Pupuseria El Cerro Verde

La comida está al mero fregadazo me gusta mucho la comida voy seguido a comer pero ya van unas ocosiones en Ke una cajera no nos da buen trato o no nos atiende amablemente y eso se ve mal y no me gusta. La verdad en nombre de la muchacha no lo sé pero es una Ke tiene tatuajes en la mano creo x la muñeca creo pero ojalá para la próxima sea mejor trato gracias

Honestly. I don’t understand why they even have Walkie talkies and radios the restaurant is as small as a box with the SLOWEST service in the world. It’s like they deliberately choose to ignore you. NOT only that, I don’t know why they can’t just have the hot sauce out, even if you order online they specially ignore you and give you the orange hot sauce instead of what you’re asking for. I’m done with this place.

I have only ordered take out, but every time I go, the restaurant is crowded. They always have my order ready and it is always correct.
My kids love pupusas and this place has the best ones in the South Bay.
The only issue is that their parking lot is small and always packed, but I can find parking in the public lot down the block.

I was here over the weekend, Huberth was our waiter, which by the way he was amazing! Food was good, and seating was good. However when I went to check out, there was a worker who acknowledged me and said I will be right with you, 3 minutes passed and she said it once again I will be right with you. She then decides to start bagging food for someone that had ordered food, and I let her know that I was ready to pay, totally ignored what I said and proceeded with what she was doing. Another worker then stepped in and charged me. Really turned my experience from a great one to a not so great one, definitely did not want to leave on a bad note. Will I be returning? probably not since I do have to drive about an hour to get there.

This is the best Popusas I have ever had I been to others places and it’s not the same I love this place

I always call to order for a pick up, its quicker and more convenient. I’m in love with their pupusas revueltas! They are big and cheap only $ 2.50, anywhere else will charge more for a smaller sized pupusa. I recommend coming here for some bomb pupusas!
The workers there are also friendly always greeting me with smiles, I love this place!

My mom, grandma, tias, (older women? LOL!) love this place. We/​they come all the time before 930, so idk how the afternoon crowd is, and order 2 chorizo pupusas. so bomb! And the fruit drink is my personal fave.

Best pupusas in Los Angeles area. Line can be long at rush hower but service is always prompt, even though not always smiling. Food is fresh and delicious. Rice pupusas are somewhat better than the corn ones.

Love this place, the pupusas are amazing. Their sopa de rez is the best in the area it has great seasoning and the beef is always tender.

I live a couple streets away from here and used to come very often. However, the customer service isn’t great. The waits are so strangely long now and I don’t think I’ll be dining in anymore. Even when I would order for pick up they’d say it’d be ready in 15 minutes, I would get there 15 minutes later and still had to wait 15 minutes more.

Love love love this place !!! Best pupusas ever!!! Quezo con Loroco is amazing !!! If I could give it 100 stars I would! Definitely recommend this to anyone! Service is great and fast but if you are here on a weekend you may wait a little. It gets packed fast !!!

Delicious food, slow service. Slow to get seated, slow to receive food and slow to checkout.

I have been a regular for years. The food is excellent and the hortacha is authentic Salvadorean. This is as close to El Salvador in Los Angeles as you will ever get. The negatives expressed by others here do have merit. The wait times are long/​er during lunch and dinner times. If they are short on staff on a particular day, their service suffers some too.
They allow you to call in your order and will be seated in the order you called in. That gives the appearance that you would be skipping those waiting in line. I have taken advantage of that a couple of times but stopped doing it when I realized that this system was not understood by those waiting there.
Go during their slower hours and enjoy the food. :)

My boyfriend is from El Salvador, and he brought me to this restaurant so I can be better acquainted with his cuisine.
The atmosphere was pretty casual. There were a couple flat screen TVs.
What we ordered:
Pupusas with cheese and chicharron: Amazing! The pupusas was flavorful and filled with gooey cheese– it kind of reminds me of a flat pizza calzone. And of course you can’t have Pupusas without Curtido, tomato sauce, and tapatio for that kick! I loved their Curtido– I was eating like it was salad :)
Pasteles (Beef Pie): It is similar like a deep fried dumpling filled with beef and potatoes. The outside was flakey and crunchy. The beef pie was really filling, I could only finish one.
Horchata: This is not your typical horchata– This horchata has more flavor notes, maybe some sesame or vanilla bean– It is not as milky as the normal horchata that I am used to drinking, but it is still very good.
The customer services was great. The workers were very hospitable and we did not have to wait that long for our food. We came here around 7:35 pm and we were served pretty quick. However, as we left around 8:00 pm, the restaurant was packed. Luckily we beat the dinner rush.
Overall, if you are craving authentic El Salvadoran food, I recommend coming here!

La verdad me encanta la comida de este lugar siempre voy 2 oh 3 veces al mes lo unico es el cervicio de Los meseros tienen que poner mucha mas atencion y no tener mal humor cuando estan sirviendo eso es lo mas importante en un restaurant la forma de a tender el clientele..

El peor servicio recibido. Me da pena decir que es un lugar salvadoreño. Pero las personas que trabajan aquí no tienen ni idea lo que es servicio al cliente. Hasta para darme mi cuenta se tardó tanto la mesera por nombre María. Le pedimos la cuenta separada y la llevo toda junta. Luego se fue y nunca regresó.le pedimos la cuenta a otro mesero y la trajo igual.

I will be honest the food is good, the pupusas are good but customer service is really bad. I used to come here a few times a month but i cant deal with bad service. And what do i mean with bad service, usually most of the workers are rude and get bothered when you ask for anything extra
The food takes a long time to get here and if just to get seated it takes about 45min
Plus another 45 to get your food.
I understand its busy but how long does it take to make a pupusa.

Pupusas are delicious. Definitely best pupusas spot around here. they are not greasy, customer service is ok been here a couple of times. Sometimes the waiters are not on top of things and you have to remind them what you asked for. The fried corn tamales are delicious.. The parking is the only negative things I can say about this place. Prices are not bad.
Overall I would recommend this place if you want good pupusas.

I’m really happy we have this pupuseria close by the only time we actually eat pupusas is when at my in laws but they live around culver city so they order from a local pupuseria which if way to far of a drive for us. Luckily some friends told us about this place and we live so close by its amazing!

I’ve tried there chicken soup it’s good it comes with rice and salad made of lettuce, radishes and cucumbers, it comes with two hand made tortillas so yummy.
The platanos Fritos one of our favorites comes with refried beans and sour cream.
There pupusas are very delicious my favorite is revueltas the hubs cheese.
And finally you can’t go wrong with ordering there horchata so good :)

La verdad este lugar está más o menos la comida no tiene sabor salvadoreño y es muy cara! hay otros restaurantes salvadoreños y con mejor variedad y mejor sabor y precios más razonables. Fuimos por un desayuno tipico y salimos con mal estar estomacal. La verdad no vamos a regresar.

Desde ahora mi Restaurant favorito es Cerro Verde, ayer tuve muy buena experiencia en este lugar, el hambiente, la comida, el servicio, la admosfera, mi comida favorita es la sopa de gallina India, así que ordene una sopa de gallina y una Pupusa de queso y loroco, y les pedí que mis tortillas bien cosidas, pues la comida estaba deliciosa, estaba sentado en lugar donde podía ver todo lo que pasaba en mi alrededor, desde como atendían a los clientes Para llevar y a los clientes que estaban comiendo, el servicio era extraordinario, la atención no se diga., estaba contento por todo, así que les recomiendo este lugar donde van a salir con un buen sabor de boca,

La comida Es delisiosa Pero el servicio es pésimo hise una orden por teléfono para comer en el restáurate para dos personas y la comida me la entregaron por partes y mi esposa termino de comer y yo seguí esperando por más de 15mn y mi comida no llegaba @ solo una sugerencia cuando lleve la comida trate de llevar la comida completa o si no mejor no lleven nada asta que esté listo todo y le pregunte ala mesera que qué pasó con mis popusas y me salió con una vavosada que no estaban todavía y que no preocupara por qué necesitaba estar adieta @ pero si la mesera está más gorda que mi esposa @so eso fue un insulto por favor de educar a sus meseros o en seńatlos a responder gracias

The pupusas are large and filing; try the not hot at all cabbage or sauce on the tables.
The service was on point: drinks were refilled and late comers to our party of 6 were served in a timely manner to eat with the existing guests.
Had to subtract a star due to the forced gratuity on every bill; expect an additional $ 1 charge per order… very peculiar, but left the waitress a tip above that amount even since the service was good.
Prices: $ 7 (after forced gratuity) for 2 pupusa’s and a soda

This was my first but definitely not my last time here. I came here after work with a coworker. We had a tamale while we waited for our Pupusas. The tamales were so soft and flavorful (prefer these since they’re cooked in the banana leaf and not corn husks). The Pupusas were absolutely perfect. Accompanied by perfect cortido (the pickled slaw) and two different hot sauces.
Aside from the food, the service was great. We were checked on by the hosts and always made sure we were satisfied/didn’t need anything. I will DEFINITELY be returning for more soon.

Came here on a Thursday around 10:30am and it was packed. Waited a bit for a table and ordered some bean and cheese pupusas. Good but not great my mom thought the same about those but said the revuelta pupusa was really good.
There is a small lot with parking in the back and street parking out front.
Would eat these pupusas again but doubt I will be back.

Me comí una sopa de res y estuvo deliciosa. Y el servicio excelente, definitivamente este es uno de los mejores restaurantes para comer comida salvadoreña.

The wait for food is also long. Sometimes I call it in 40 minutes for take out and still have to wait.
