DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If I could give negative stars, that would be the rating… These guys came out to «clean» our chimney in November. Last weekend, we had a chimney fire and the Fire Department said it was caused by buildup and not being cleaned. It caused a ton of smoke damage to the house and the CO levels were so high that the FD said we would have all been killed in the matter of minutes. They were shocked when we said we had it cleaned in November.
I called A1 Everlast the day after the fire and spoke to someone claiming to be a manager. He took my name and number and I haven’t heard a peep from them since. At the very least, it would have been nice to hear from the owner and get an apology for their inadequate performance.
I repeat, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY– they are not good at what they do and lack the professionalism to address what could have been a fatal error.

I am writing this review based on my 84 year old mother’s experience. She was scammed by these people. She needed a, what seemed like a small job, done on the roof due to some heavy snow and ice accumulation. She called this company based on a mailer that was sent to the house. She was told she needed a particular job done. She had the work done and paid the company quite a bit to do it. A few months later her roof was leaking. She called this company again, because they said they guaranteed their work, and they told her it was something else that was wrong with the roof, not the work they did, although the leak was coming from the area they had done the work. Mom had them do the job and paid quite a bit again. Recently a leak appeared on the ceiling of her houses upstairs hallway. Guess where it is coming from? The same place these people supposedly did the work. Mom called the company several times and was not getting call backs. She then called a number she was given by one of the workers. Turns out it was one of the owner’s personal phone lines. She was told a rep would come out and look at the leak, no one showed up. Mom called again, was told someone would come out, another no show. Then, supposedly the person had a family emergency. Mom was told at least 4 times someone would show up and they did not. My next step is to file a complaint with the BBB. Beware of this company.

Do not use this company for roofing. They came and gave us an estimate and told us they would bring 3 guys and it would take all day. They said they would call before they came and we expected them on a Tuesday. They came on Monday morning with no warning, no phone call and only 2 guys. They didn’t complete the work they were supposed to and my roof still leaked. I called to complain and was berated by one of the employees. He was very rude and condescending. They came back and eventually completed the work but I would never recommend them. There were (at this time) 24 complaints against them with the bbb. Now I see why. Find a reputable company through the bbb and don’t use this company.

I am not surprise to see the low number for this company. If you want to hire them as new costumers they will be at your door on the next day however, after their first job please Cross your finger and hope that you don’t have to call them for repair or warranty on their job. Last year we contract them to do some work on the steps in from of the house they came up with numbers which I paid in full and 25 years warranty. After winter was over 8 months later we find out that the stones that they put on the side and at front of the steps are broken and breaking apart, I called the company explained the problem the secretary Donna very rude, she need to learn a little more about costumer service and very a little more kind. After several weeks no one returned my calls one time they hand up … I was very mad now they said is our fault because we put ice salt we are not sopiuse to use that and that’s the reason why they are not replacing anything by free and I have to pay for that!!! My husband called again and spoke with someone call BOB he told him that he will call us back to follow up!!! Never did I after 3 – 4 weeks when we spoke with him last week completely empty of who we are!!! No idea of what situation we are calling about then he said again I will call u back of course we still waiting … Finally we are taking more aggressive action and we have no other choice that see then in court!!! PLEASE PEOPLE OUT THERE BEFORE YOU HIRE A COMPANY FOR ANY WORK LOOK FOR COSTUMERS REVIEWS every where DON’T GO JUST WITH THEIR PICTURES ON THEIR WEBSITE … REMEMBER THEY WILL PUT ON THEIR WEB THE BEST PHOTOS BUT THEY CANNOT PHOTOSHOP YOUR OPINION… DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT OTHERS LIKE ME AND MY HUSBAND DID…

Editing, as I’m not out to hurt anyone’s financial well being or reputation. Frankly, I don’t know much about this company — only my brief experience with them.
My experience was the same as some of the prior reviews in terms of reliability and price quoting. At the end of the day, I wound up going with another roofer who I simply felt more comfortable with and did a great job. My overall advice to anyone looking for a roofer, whether or not they consider Everlast, is to always get more than one opinion and not get pressured into making a decision.

Offered very reasonable quote, but had to reschedule work date a few times because the worker assigned had family emergency. Their repair work seems good enough, but they did not clean up the debris afterwards, with sharp nails littering the deck and yard (luckily spotted these before one went into my dog’s foot!). Additionally, they never followed up on a second half of the job and don’t return phone calls made to them once the initial work is done. Somewhere out there is a decent contracting company that appreciates their customers — A1 Everlast Construction is NOT one of them.

Unreliable. Booked appointment on weekday for estimate b/​w 9−11am. Nobody showed up. So I called them. Was told someone was in the area, and will come soon. 1−½H later, still nobody showed up. So I called again, and they cancelled-​said they can’t come today. Inconsiderate of them to not call. If you’re taking time off busy work, probably best to reach someone else.

Horrible experience with this company. Please stay away. Would not recommend to anyone.
Received a quote for gutter guards and scheduled and appointment for 10am the following weekend.
Time came and went and no one showed up or called. We ended up calling and being told oh. we were going to call you and ask you to reschedule. They suggested it may not be a good idea to do it that day with the storm (Sandy) coming few days later as the product will likely not be insured if damaged few days later.
We said ok, will reschedule and rescheduled for the following week.
Next week came around, no one called again. After we called, we were told they were too busy with much more important things fixing people’s roofs and to call back later to reschedule. Understandably, we held off.
Few weeks went by, called again. Were told again to call back.
Finally reached them and made another appointment for today. We were told they were going to be here at 9am. time came and went as previously. no one showed up. Called them, I was told yes, we are on the list and will get a call soon with the time. Ok. waiting.
1 ½ hours later we call again. We were told that one of the worker’s wife’s hand was broken and they had an emergency. Ok, understandable. but how come no one called us to let us know to reschedule? They also said that the price we were quoted initially was only for that time and we cancelled on them… WHAT? I could not believe my ears.
I asked for someone to call me back if anyone was still coming.
after more time went by, I just called myself and cancelled.
Never ever use this company.

They are SCAMMERS. They will quote you work that you do NOT need. They don’t call you back. BUYER BEWARE. They estimate low so they can come to your house and then make up something, so you will pay them more.
My mom had the worst experience from this company. BEWARE! Do not get any services from them. Not only do they not complete the work, but they try to trick you to get more work done from them.
We had a guy come initially to clean the gutters on the house for $ 60. They sent over Joey along with another person. He went to inspect the roof and came down to tell me in a panicked way that my roof was going to collapse in 1 week. My mom was petrified. He said the liner by the chimney was damaged and that water would leak and that the whole roof would collapse and it would cost me $ 7,000.
My mom told him that she was going to call someone else for advice on that. He kept insisting that she could trust him and that he was telling the truth. In the end, we had another expert come to the house and it was fine. He tried to SCAM my mom. When my mom said that she didn’t want the roof repaired, Joey became agitated.
They finished the gutter and I gave them the $ 60 so they could leave. I went to check on the gutters and they completed 50% of the work. My mom called several days to ask about the incomplete job that she paid for. They insisted the manager would call her back. They NEVER did.
