I had ordered from here last year and was not happy so I never ordered again. Today I wanted to try this place again to see if things have changed. I gave them my order and told them how I wanted it and waited for it to come. I asked them to make sure the meat was not dried out and overcooked. Well I got what I asked for plus it was not oily I was very happy. I will be ordering from here again.

I order from here all the time. They are fast, inexpensive, and consistent every time I come by. The guy that runs the store(assuming he’s the manager) is very nice and is always in good spirits whenever someone walk into his restaurant. I usually order the lunch specials, which includes two sides. For 6 $ you get a good bang for your buck.

Got the General Gao’s and hot and sour soup here… General Gaos was in a congealed red, not spicy, sauce and the rice tasted maybe a little over fried. The hot and sour soup was pretty much how I like it with the thickened broth, decent spice and not too big of pieces of tofu. however the pork seemed overcooked and a little strange in flavor, think may have been Italian sausage. My search of a reliable Chinese rest. in Haverhill continues.

Just ordered delivery recieved the food thought not too bad until I found a huge long hair. Called to tell them and they said the would not refund my plate and said too bad we have to come see the hair. The plate was about 8.50 I just spent over 40 I wasnt lookig for a full refund just the plate I was honestly appalled at the response and honestly quite angry that they were less than accomodating. Not a good way to run a buisness never again!!!

I wanted to have dinner with my family when I ordered from here mid week at 5pm… It took ANHOURAND A HALF before it even left the restaurant. When I called they were less than apologetic and I expressed that I had hungry kids waiting to eat & asked if it would be much longer because if so I needed to cancel the order. «Can’t cancel we already charged it and put the food to cook.» By the time the food arrived it was cold, I fed the kiddo and it was straight to bath and bed so I never ate any myself. Safe to say I won’t order from here ever again.

Peking Garden of Haverhill is NOTCLOSED. I stopped here for lunch over the weekend. Peking Garden serves up Chinese, Polynesian, and Mandarin cuisine for takeout and delivery. The place itself is a «hole» with a few tables in front of the counter area(open kitchen). They offer 26 Lunch Specials(11AM-3PM) served with fried or white rice and free can of soda($ 5.95-$ 7.60), 10 House Specials served with pork fried rice($ 5.15-$ 5.70) and 24 Combinations(order by letter-$ 8.95). They also sell jewelry and earrings here too. When I arrived here for lunch around 2:30PM, the place was freezing and the staff were wearing winter coats in the kitchen. Sort of reminds me of being at the Golden Bowl in Lawrence, where the place was also freezing, but at least Peking Garden as a big street front window, allowing natural light inside. I ordered an L6 Pork Lo Mein($ 5.95) with pork fried rice, egg roll, & a can of Diet Coke. The food was ready fairly quick after ordering. The portions of food were good. Both the lo mein and pork fried rice were very tasty, but a bit on the oily side. The lo mein had mushrooms, bamboo shoots, carrots, water chesnuts, and sweet tender pork. The pork fried rice(tan color) had tender pork cubes, onion, and eggs. The egg roll had ground pork and cabbage and was not overstuffed and pretty standard. I’ll have to try Combo F next time! Again, Peking Garden is OPEN for business and NOTCLOSED as listed on Unilocal(I will send an update to Unilocal). DELIVERYALLDAY Credit Cards(MC/Visa): $ 10 minimum
