1st Choice Plumbing Heating & Cooling

0000 STARS!!!, My next t door neighbor had an air conditioner condenser unit on the side of there home replaced a few days ago.
This unit has a non stop LOUD HISSSSSSS AND I MEAN LOUD, sound ever since!
My neighbor said the unit was not working proper and he had called 1^st Choice. Hours later I saw a 1^st choice truck and approached to mention the LOUD noise.
He basically blew me off with some nonsense that he knew, but it was an attic problem, huh???
He left and the noise persists. l!!!
I cl have not slept because of this noise.
If it is not resolved I MUST and WILL pursue further action!!!

very very very poor service!!! these guys are not even licensed ! they are just hamdyman that know a little bit of plumbing & heating. look them up on the state of nj board website. nothing is there! what a shocker, these guys are theifs

Had an issue with my furnace. They responded within 35 minutes. Very knowledgable and fixed the issue and now our heat works much better. Will use again and again!

Called up the company a few days ago to get a free estimate on major repairs in the basement. Some guy did show up a few hours later but he couldn’t give me a quote and he roughly moved my dryer without any care (brand new dryer) which scared me since it’s connected to gas. After that, he was on the call for a while and took a lot of pictures. I was told I can get a quote next morning but it’s been 3 days and I’ve heard nothing. Can’t imagine they can fix anything if they can’t even provide a quote.

Wrong diagnosis and robbery
Let me preface my review with:
1 star to me means «You suck and you should go out of business»
2 problems:
1. One of our toilets was humming
2. One of the bathroom sinks was draining slowly.
2 diagnoses:
1. The guy told me that it was not the pipes but the left toilet part that was reverberating fast and making this noise. Said the replacement would be $ 150
2. He said the slow drain is b/​c the pipes need to be snaked through with their professional one instead of liquid plumbr and the like — $ 150. I told him I didn’t think it was the drain b/​c there’s a bubble forming around the stopper. He insisted it was the drain.
Sucky remedies:
1. He ‘fixed’ the toilet song but it returned after 2 months. Been living here for eight years with no problems until this year, they come and fix it and it starts again in 2 months. Hmm…
2. It wasn’t the snake b/​c the sink was still draining slowly. Told me they did a great job cleaning out the drain by leaving me a mess. Anyway, when it started draining slowly again, he then told me it was the stopper and that replacement would cost me $ 300. What the frack!
So I had to pay out $ 300 for a job that was less than par. $ 300 for mediocrity. That’s America!
I’m happy for those who’ve left positive reviews for these guys since they must’ve done a decent job but businesses are hard to trust when they’re decent half of the time and rob you the other half.
In my situation, I don’t care that they showed up an hour after the call b/​c I’ll take 4 hours after the call if it meant doing the right job and getting the results I needed.
I will NEVER EVER use these guys EVER again. You guys really suck.

I would really like to give no stars as they don’t even deserve one star. Firstly the appointment time was for 6pm but no one showed up until 7:30. I paid for new hot and cold knobs at a cost of $ 250. Fast forward one month and 20 days later and the same knobs that were changed has an issue, the cold water won’t turn off with this «new knob». I called 1^st choice which should really be called last resort/​last choice to have someone come to fix it. I was surprisingly told that the expense would be mine because the part only lasted for 30 days. Ridiculous! I would rather spend money and pay a new plumber than to ever give this shifty 1^st choice plumbing another dime. Homeowners beware and proceed with caution, you’ve been warned!

The heat stopped working Saturday. Temp dropped to 50 degrees by Sunday morning. I started calling heating/​cooling companies at 730 and these guys were the only one to promptly answer the call. We had Mo come over in less than 30 minutes. Very courteous and professional. I would highly recommend them.

I called them on a weekday around 5 and they had someone out in an hour. Nour was very nice and efficiently fixed our icky toilet issue. Hopefully won’t have to use them again but I would!

We had a had a sewer stoppage over the weekend. I called to make an appointment for 830 and they showed up at 830. Nour the mechanic did a fine job and cleared the blockage.
Feels like my lucky day…

These guys were fast, reliable, and do top-​notch work. My bathroom faucet needed to be changed because it was old and leaking. I also needed my bathroom sink as well as my toilet snaked. I had first called around to three different plumbers in the area. None of them could make it out the same day. Then I came across 1^st Choice Plumbing on Unilocal and there were some great reviews. I called them and they came out within 2 – 3 hours of me calling. They gave us a free estimate and said they could do the job the same day. I asked them to let me call around first for a few other estimates. Once I checked around I saw that their prices were in line with the other estimates, maybe even a bit little less. I called them back and scheduled an appointment for the following day. The next day, they came on time and did all the work within 2.5 hours. They were courteous, friendly, and very professional. I highly recommend them.

Heater broke at 7pm on a frigid Saturday. I called 1^st choice and within 90 minutes the heater was repaired. Fast, professional service. Highly recommend them.

1^st Choice Plumbing is beyond the best of the best. Our water heater broke on Wednesday and I’ve tried several other plumbing companies and NONE of them answered us. Luckily for us I came across 1^st choice plumbing. From the receptionist to the exceptional service we received, it’s literally A+ across the board. Not only was the receptionist on the phone polite and sweet, she was so willing to help us and give us any information we needed. She told me a technician would be at our place in about an hour and a half to take a look, and literally within 30 minutes, someone showed up! I was amazed. Out of all the places we’ve contacted, you guys were the ONLY one who truly helped us and heard our urgency to get this fixed, especially because my husband had to take off work for this. Joe and his associated who fixed and replaced our water heater were professional and they did an amazing job fixing everything for us. Joe took the time to explain to us step by step of what he was going to fix, how much it would cost, and why it cost that much. Their pricing is very reasonable and they don’t try to scheme you out of anything. I highly recommend 1^st choice plumbing to anyone who needs work done on their house. They’re awesome, reliable, and trustworthy! Thanks a bunch!

1^st Choice plumbers saved our Christmas! We came home late Christmas Eve to a flooded basement, broken sump pump and no heat, 1^st Choice was the only plumbers open on Christmas Eve and arrived within 30 mins of our call. They returned 1^st thing in the morning with new parts and had the flood drained out in less than an hour and had our furnace back on and warming up our house minutes later! They exceeded our expectations and will continue to use and reccomend to all. Thank you for your amazing service.

I highly recommend Sammy and this company, He went the extra mile and even came out during a snow storm to fix the heat in my house. Our heating system’s regulator stopped working in freezing weather during a heavy snow storm and Sammy drove out to resolve our issue fast and efficiently. The work was done professionally and communication was excellent. He is very knowledgable about heating systems and ways to save $$$. The work was done in a timely manner and it was also affordable. I would not hesitate for a second to call this company again.

This is a miracle. You guys know most of my Unilocal are only the bad ones. This one is an exception and worth it.
I try to avoid calling a plumber at all cost. So I keep up with my household things to ensure they don’t break. But, as luck would have it, my faucet and the «stuff» underneath my sink in the kitchen took it’s last breath and started leaking… for a while. I called 1^st Choice — with much hesitation! Nothing directed at 1^st Choice, it’s just living in Northern Jersey — you’re leary of any service provider. I always think they are going to over promise, under deliver, and overcharge… I have low expectation and I proceed with caution. Luckily, 1^st Choice gives free estimates. They are friendly and quick. I had to call them twice in the last 2 weeks and each time they responded very quickly.
My mom especially liked Joe. Very courteous and friendly.
