Five months ago(8÷31÷15), I gave a four-star review of Fleming’s Sub Base and praised how delicious the subs were. Sadly, I am editing my review, giving it a brand-new ONESTAR rating. I just got back home from Fleming’s sub base, where for some unknown reason I was not waited-on after ten minutes of waiting as I stood at the counter listening to two nitwits in the kitchen area talk and talk and talk. After five minutes, I see one of them glance over at me, HESEESME — OUREYESCONNECT, and he continues to talk on and on and on non-stop, never turning around to say, «May I help you?» So I went into the dining area and saw it was EMPTY!!! These guys weren’t putting ANY subs together, just talking and talking and talking. I guess my standing there, waiting be be served for ten minutes was cramping their conversation so they just kept talking despite the fact that I was standing there. NOTETOMANAGEROROWNER: Who were the two idiots working on the evening of February 2nd at 5:30PM? You may want to FIRE these pinheads.(Or at least ask why they ignored me for ten minutes which resulted in this one-star Unilocal rating.) And beyond the terrible service are other factors which make me change my rating to one-star: 1) There have been at least three times when I have stopped-by Fleming’s Sub Base and they are closed early. There is a sign on the door which says, «Closed early. Ran out of rolls.» Ran out of ROLLS??? 2) I once arrive about ten minutes before closing. The door was locked and someone was mopping the floor inside the building, right in front of the door. The person saw me approach the door, put down the mop, and walked away. He could have said, «We’re closed» instead of scampering away like a scared little girl who got caught trying to leave early. 3) They charge fifty cents for hot peppers /sweet peppers on your sub. Who does THAT?! I don’t know ANY sub shop that charges EXTRA for the sweet /hot peppers! Summary: Four-star taste, one-star everything else.

Great spot for lunch, fair prices and super friendly staff. We enjoy the bbq sandwiches, as well as club(similar to G9 at Sandwich Man) Owner is awesome, on a prior visit he gave me two t-shirts.

You have to go and visit this sub shop as it has the best specials and prices with the freshest bread for your next SUB. Try the beef salami and they even have fountain soda for your taste buds. One of the best chicken salads that I have had in town. Stop by and Visit KARL and tell him Debbilicious sent you :-)

I’d never go hungry if I lived near Flemings. Everything is so fresh & delicious. The place is immaculately-clean, too. No dive here — although i love a good dive but… thats for another place. Not here — not now. Creative menu but nothing too far off-base. We wanted substantial subs and sides after all; savory soups & icy drinks… Sweet homemade tasting desserts(comfort food for PA natives!). Flemings IS food to sink your teeth into — not trendy cuisine that’s having an identity crisis. The service was very polite & helpful(we couldn’t decide WHAT to have & asked the two gentlemen behind the counter, one of whom was the owner & actually crafted our sub). Owner was present and professional and… lets face it, an owner who is there is an owner who cares. Flemings is worth going out of your way for & we will always make a trip to Flemings every time we are in Central PA — even our 59+ mile drive!

Completely disagree with the review here. Every local knows this is the place to go for a great home style hoagie with fresh meat and fresh Italian hoagie rolls. Turkey club and pulled pork bbq is slammin.
