I’d give this location 0 stats if I could. I’ve gone there 3 times — each time the name manager — possibly the owner has been on the register and is extremly rude. I will take my business and pay to park downtown than give this location my money. I brought it up with the downtown location, how rude the older gentlemen is at Paxton Street. They informed me they have a different owner /different management. No wonder! 2nd Street location, highly recommended — Paxton Street, NO.

I have some friends that get together at this location once a week. Their ingredients are fresh, their food is delicious, and to my favorite sandwich is the marinated roast beef sandwich with Caesar salad on the side. My husband formally recommend the steak salad and after trying this on his recommendation, I definitely agree. The French fries are also good(although I only know that by sneaking some off the plates of my friends!) This location has a nice back room area if you have a large group or need to make a private reservation. Calling ahead in that case is highly recommended.

Would be nice if their website was working so we could view the menu and call our order in. We have only a ½ hour for lunch, so not going here today. Hope the website gets better!

May be the best kept secret in the area or based on the customers moving in and out people may be catching on. Great lunch and breakfasts are worth the stop. Very nice people– all hands on deck approach — contribute to a great atmosphere. I really like the set up of their seating. Worth a stop or even the trip. Make it a point to try this one

Ok. Not blown away, but a completely passable salmon salad(a bit heavy on the onions and not chopped, but quartered really). Servers are nice and the atmosphere is ok, but all in all, just a ho-hum experience all the way around. Will give it another go and try something else on the menu in hopes of seeing what the hype is about.

Came here for the first time tonight and the staff was extremely friendly. I ordered the special Buffalo Chicken Sandwich while my friend got a pizza. I wanted a small salad, and after being told they don’t make«small» side salads, they accommodated me nonetheless, which was a pleasant surprise. We sat outside and food was promptly delivered soon thereafter, and it was delicious for both of us. Fresh and well made! I definitely recommend this place!

Ok. So I was really hungry — there’s my disclaimer. I ordered TWO entrees, thinking if one wasn’t great, I’d have a backup. Both were ridiculous! Ridiculously good. Now I’m qualified to recommend the steak salad and the tuna wrap. Steak salad was extremely fresh, w/generous feta cheese and a delicious balsamic. Steak was cooked as ordered(m-rare) and was tender. Greens were plentiful and fresh. Tuna salad in the wrap was so tasty. Could be slightly«mayonnaisy» for some but I loved it. Stuffed with generous, fresh romaine lettuce. Service was friendly and warm. Anytime I’m in this area, I’m hitting Café Fresco!

I keep going back because it’s just that good. Best fries I’ve had in the ‘burg time after time. Their burgers are fantastic, as are the sandwiches and salads. Haven’t been for breakfast yet but intend to try it very soon! Fast, friendly and delicious… Café Fresco always delivers.

This is my go to breakfast spot! My coworker and I meet at least once a month for a catch up/breakfast and this is one spot we always seem to want to go. Their baked oatmeal is simply perfection! I have also been here for lunch and dinner and each time it was perfect! If you have not tried Café Fresco, you probably shouldn’t wait any longer!

One the best restaurants in the Harrisburg Downtown Area. They have the best sandwiches, wraps. A great place for Sea food Lovers. I always order the Chilean Sea Bass here. Its one the best sea food meal. Also the staff is very friendly as well as great place to throw parties, go out with friends or go on a date. Trust me, You wont be disappointed.

We are regulars there before we go to the movies over at the Regal Harrisburg Mall for dinner. Quick light, fresh tasty menu for dinner. Consistently good, which is saying a lot for Harrisburg.

I came here with my GF on vacation this passed weekend. Overall, it was an OK experience. The staff was OK. The Food took a little longer than I expected to come out. I got the portobello mushroom sandwich and my GF got I think the chicken ceasar salad. I also got the chai tea and she got the oreo latte, or maybe it was cookies and cream latte – something like that. Anyway, the food was OK, and the drinks were pretty good. The tea was very strong and kind of tasted like coffee… I kind of wondered if the staff accidentally mixed the two or something, but it tasted fine, so I didn’t want to be «that customer». The cookie latte was also pretty darn good, but nothing that was particularly great – something comparable could be gotten at Wawa, honestly. The major point of contention is the price. The restaurant kind of feels like a mix of local café and Panera Bread. However, the food didn’t quite reach either, IMO. And then the price. It was about $ 28 for the sandwich, salad, and both drinks. Granted, I did get a side of french fries, which could only be described as mediocre, but even so, the quality DIDNOT warrant the price. If I were in Harrisburg again any time soon, there is no way I’d come back here. The price is way too high and the food just simply does not justify it. There seems to be a bunch of other great places around the Harrisburg/Hershey area, which is where I stayed, so I would say skip Café Fresco and look elsewhere.

I have been coming here for years… even before I moved to Harrisburg. I used to come basically to buy La Colombe coffee beans since they are the only location in the area that sells them. I liked getting a shot of espresso with my order which was pretty much perfect. The food here is excellent. I have tried the Santa Fe burger, a salmon salad and came for breakfast too. On this occasion I ordered a steak salad and the steak was cooked perfectly. I like the variety of menu items including pizza and desserts. The place is stylish and there is plenty of seating. I appreciate the efficient service and won’t say no if this place is suggest for a coffee or meal.

I went here for lunch with my boss and I will definitely eat here again. The food was so fresh and appetizing. I had the Mediterranean pizza and it was yummy, with the crust just the right amount of crispy and chewy. The boss had a wrap which was also pretty yummy looking. The décor and ambiance is relaxing and comfortable with artistic«Dr Seuss-like» seats. The restrooms were clean and the staff friendly and helpful. I’m looking forward to trying more items from their menu including some of those yummy looking cakes and other bakery items.
