Shangri – Paw

Fantastic facility. It is clean and well maintained. The staff is VERY friendly and take pride in what they do. The staff are very attentive; I never felt like I was a bother to them.

I brought my male shepherd to give him a bath. The ladies were extremely helpful as to how to operate the system. The gentleman that owns the shop came in and he also went and got a particular brush for us to use. Awesome place. I then went home and brought my female shepherd for the same treatment. We were very pleased. It’s not fancy but the equipment worked great and the staff were very friendly.

Our long haired mini dachshund Fonzi loves to get his hair and nails cut there. The girls have all been very nice. The Fonz man comes out smelling so good and the scent lasts for weeks! The price is very good. We moved from Harker Heights to Cedar Park. I took him to a groomer (spa) in Cedar Park paid alot more for the services and the quality of his cut was ok and I paid extra for the scented oil which only lasted a couple of days. So, we make the hour trip just for Fonzi to go to Shangri-​paw.

I am extremely impressed with this place. The staff is very friendly. Great prices and what a wonderful job they did with my super messy ladies. They look and smell amazing. Shangri-​paw you have anew regular

— The day I came to drop my pup off I was happily allowed to tour the facilities. I should note that there was 2 – 3 workers there at the time. However, when I dropped in for a surprise visit the next morning at 7:45am I was not allowed to see my pups living area. I was told that the lady could not allow me in the back area because there was an aggressive dog back there and they can only escort customers in the back when there is an aggressive dog if there are at least 2 workers on duty. She was the only one there in the morning. She did bring my pup out to me with no problem though. I also confirmed with another boarding facility about the aggressive dog thing, apparently insurance companies don’t like it when they bring customers back there near an aggressive dog. But, I still didn’t like not being able to see her living quarters. Obviously, my concern was that they could use the aggressive dog excuse to prevent owners from seeing the facilities when they are not up to par. Also, when she did bring my pup out, she had urine on about ¹⁄₈ of her face. That was surprising, because she is house trained, never pees in her crate (at least for the 4 – 6 hours max I crate her per day) nor was she supposedly around any other dogs.
— I noticed there was a little more poop accumulated in the outdoor play area than I was comfortable with. Both when I dropped her off around 2pm, and when I looked through the window the next morning at 7:45am when I came for a surprise check up before my flight.
— the boarding cells aren’t as nice as I’m used to with previous boarding facilities. They are made of concrete and cinder block, and more resemble pounds I have visited. Not that a dog really cares though. Just don’t expect the place to be pretty.

Don’t waste your money

The place smelled horrible and it was not clean at all. I paid for a wash and cut for my terrier and he looked the same when I picked him up. Not going back ever again

Our dog loves coming here — for doggy day care, baths, and boarding. Staff and owners are so friendly and really pay attention to the needs of our dog. They love what they do and it shows! I refer all my friends here and they love it, too!

my dog loves it their, of course shes a mama’s girl and is ify at first. but they have always taken good care of her and they even started using oatmeal on her due to her skin and she always looks pretty, happy, and smells good when we pick her up.
shes been boarded there as well as gets groomed.

Thanks for defending your actions, but the truth still stands out. If anything, you proved what type of business owner you really are. I should have read these other reviews before I left Jago there. You know the truth, so say what you will about integrity. This site is merely a review avenue for customers. My review reflects my experience. By the way, you only called once. I didn’t call or come by, because I felt a review was a better course of action. Then, your true colors emerged. Thanks! I’ll also post a picture of the condition of Jago as an adjunct to my previous review.

I have used Shangri Paw for almost three years for my dogs grooming and boarding needs. I do not ever want to take her anywhere else. They do THE BEST job grooming, her bath lasts just about a month. She’s a terrible shedder, but they help me keep it manageable. I am never satisfied if she gets a path anywhere else. She LOVES going in here and LOVES all the staff. She goes in happy and comes out happy, and the staff simply adore Hexie. It makes me happy and safe. I recommend them to everyone. I love their grooming and i love the aromatherapy and little scarves they give out. I also don’t worry at all when she stays there for boarding, they take great care of her. Excellent job you guys! I appreciate it! They also give discounts for service dogs, which i think is really awesome of them! #Shangripaw

I’ve taken my 2 dogs here for grooming. Excellent customer service, caring employees, and my dogs loved Jamie. They were happy, and Jamie did exactly what I asked. It was a fair price, up front with nothing tacked on at the end, I also got a follow up call after two months to setup my next appointment, which was awesome — I felt they really cared about my dogs!

My dogs were banned from Petco and Petsmart LOL, guess they cant handle a dog yapping through their windows (Yorkies). This was my first visit using their full groomer service, Overall I was happy with their hair cuts. I was charge a Hard handling fee which I totally agreed with, since my lil ones are little bit crazy. I’m very happy they said they were very grommable, I was scared I was gonna have to figure out another option to groom them. I will return.

This review is for the drop off grooming. When I called I told them what I was needing for my dog the gentleman on the phone said they could do everything I asked. My dog came out smelling clean and looking 5 ponds lighter from all the fur that her. I was told that one of her nails broke during the clipping but hay it did not hurt. Will be going back and a big plus is they are cheaper then petco and nicer to

I’m only reviewing the DIY dog wash part of this place, I’ve never boarded my dog there or had their drop-​off grooming done.
For between $ 13-​$ 17 dollars (depending on weight of your dog) you can use the professional dog washing tools at Shangri Paw. Your first time, they’ll walk you through the process but it’s very easy.
They have raised tubs, which is wonderful as you’re not constantly leaning over and breaking your back, so you first have to help your dog up the steps into the tub. They have slip collars you clip to the tub; your regular collar can be taken off and washed separately. They also have aprons, if your dog is a splasher.
There are several different flavors of soaps you can choose from that are hooked up to a machine that sprays the water through a high pressure hose, much like a doggie version of a self-​serve car wash. The high pressure water is really nice for getting down into those fur coats. After you’ve rinsed and soaped and rinsed, you can also add in conditioner.
When you’re sure your dog is squeaky clean, you can turn on the dryer. It comes through a big hose and literally blows the water right off of your dog. In the end, your dog will look like he gained 5 pounds of fluffiness.
They also provide towels, brushes, and doggie perfume.
