First Class Auto Body

My car was a victim of a parked hit and run. Nothing worse than coming out in the morning to see your car hit. First class took care of it the same day and had it done in a week. 6 days before projected completion. I got updates every other day that parts were ordered, everything was on track etc. I can’t recommend this family owned and operated body shop enough. You won’t find better work done in Los Angeles. The car looks better today than it did when I drove it off the lot.

I’ve been here on 2 occasions. Haven’t heard of this place prior to my insurance company’s recommendations. The first time was for when my car got side swiped and I had to get my car painted as well as my drivers side mirror replaced. These guys fixed it and made it brand new. The second time was for when my car got backed up into in a parking lot. I had to get the paint done again as well as a broken door handle replaced (that wasn’t part of the accident). They painted my car to fix the damages and even offered to fix my door handle in exchange for this Unilocal review. Thank you first class! Very satisfied with my car and its repairs.

I just got my car back after big repairs to the bumper and quarter-​panel due to another driver hitting my parked car. All of the Caruso family, especially Oscar, performed incredibly perfect work on my car. This is significant as I have done excellent EXCELLENT business with them for nearly 15 years! The Caruso family will be there when you need them, and they are also excellent at providing exemplary customer service. They clearly and consistently show great care and attention to detail in their work. So be smart, and avoid going to «the place that the insurance company recommended.» Those places can never even hope to equal the level of quality from First Class, and the First Class name tells it all: First Class all the way! If I could give them 10 Unilocal stars, I would! Please make this right move. You will be glad you did! Thanks a million to the entire Caruso family!

I met Oscar Caruso back on December 4, 2014 and emailed him about warning my car gave me left front fog light malfunctioning for BMW. After I got my HID fog lights installed from a local body shop I was disappointed that this would happen. Oscar is someone I can trust he knows a lot about cars and told me my fog lamp was dead and that it was not draining my car battery. I had my light bulbs replaced and everything worked out. I would definitely recommend anyone to come here for full detail and car repairs. One Happy Customer!!!

I would like to give a Big thx! To the team of this autobody… They did a Amazing job on my wife Mini Cooper. The car is like knew. It was hit in the back quarter panel… They did some Magic cause my friends either cant tell how they did such a Great Job! from the inside too the detail was amazing. Simply AMAZING! For the last 11 years I have paid a visit to these guys any time my car has needed some type of work. They have always returned my car looking brand new. From a fender bender, to having a windshield repaired, to a paint job, they have exceeded my expectations every time. I always recommend them without a second thought. They have been our family car body repair guys for as long as I can remember. Since my first personal encounter with them (actually going on my own) I have had nothing but pleasant experiences. They’ll greet me with a smile, and genuinely ask how my family is doing. It is not only their body work, but their excellent customer service that brings me back. This is a long overdue review, I had my work done in August of last year. Someone hit my rear bumper in a parking lot so I got them three quotes to fix it. First Class was the lowest quote, and they had good reviews I decided to give them a shot. The shop was clean and the staff were very accommodating, especially of my need to have the car back in just two days. They fit my time window and did a fantastic job. Almost 6 months later and no problems, I would definitely recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about this shop. I have been using them for body and paint for over 10 years! Everyone at the shop has a welcoming personality and are very nice. The shop is extremely clean and you feel like you made the right choice when you bring your car here.

My family has been going to First Class auto body for several years now. They replaced a front windshield on a Honda Civic, rear bumper cover with parking sensors on a Lexus LS460, replaced the rear bumper cover and fixed the rear quarter panel/​door for my Subaru STI. My STI looks awesome. First Class has done excellent work on all our cars. Body work was completed when they said it would be completed. Price is reasonable. I’m a loyal repeat customer. Look, nobody wants to be on a first name basis with the owner of a body shop, but if you’re unlucky with cars you need to have these guys fix your ride.
In roughly 2008 Oscar and the Caruso family business did a perfect job on my Acura RSX. I had hit a traffic cone (of all things) in the middle lane, 405N, which obliterated the front of my car. Radiator and bumper needed to be replaced. All the work they did looked great, and performed flawlessly, up to (and I’m sure well past) when I sold that car in 2013.
And they just fixed my wife’s 2009 328 coupe. The front bumper was nearly ripped completely off by someone in a parking lot (wife wasn’t even in the car). Bumper, fender, hood, and headlight housing had to be replaced. Oscar’s guys got all the work done in 1.5 weeks, and the car seriously looks as good as the day it rolled off the assembly line. I’m confident that the work First Class did will continue looking great for many years to come. Thanks Oscar!

I recently got hit on the side of my car and although the damage wasn’t very big, First Class Auto Body still treated my car with their utmost quality and precision. My car was returned to me cleaner than when I bought it brand new and cleaner than when I paid for a $ 200 detail.
They are very good at what they do, I will trust my car to them any time!

I have three vehicles that have had work done at first class. They restored one, helped me customize the other, and did the maintenance on my motorcycle. Both cars came out better than I expected. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking to have your car restored or fixed. They have great attention to details and are very professional. They are a one stop shop.

My husband picked this place through our car insurance when our car’s bumper and lights were a victim of a hit and run. When the car was first ready to get picked up, I noticed the new bumper was a little crooked. We told Oscar about it and they fixed it the same day. We also had concerns that the bumpers edges weren’t as smooth as the original bumper, and Oscar said he would order another bumper to see if that one would be better. Well Oscar kept his word and did get us another bumper and the car looks great. I’m sad that its not the original bumper, but I am glad that Oscar made sure that we were satisfied with the end result. Thanks Oscar! I am hoping I never have to go back there ever again, but if I do I know that the job will get done right.

I whole heartedly recommend «First Class Auto body» for any and all auto body repair work in the Southbay and beyond. All of my experiences with them have been exceptional (going back 5+ years). This is a family owned and operated shop run by 3 brothers and their father. I’ve dealt with most of the family, but my go to is Oscar. You’re probably wondering why it took so long to write a review. Reasoning, because I’ve been telling everyone and anyone who needs /​potentially needs auto body work to go to them and thought I had a review covered (sorry guys).
My first experience with them was after my 4Runner got rear ended on the freeway and shortly afterwards getting front ended when another car backed up into me (coincidently down the street from First Class Auto body). After going to a couple of places recommended by my insurance company I decided to check out First Class Auto body. First impression, what a huge shop and it’s über clean. I met Oscar and explained to him my situation and asked why I should use First Class Auto body. Oscar took me on a tour of their shop and showed me the cars they were working on. I was very impressed as no other shop I went to did this. Basically, I got the feeling that Oscar showed pride in his shop and work.
I dropped off my 4Runner at First Class Auto Body and they did the rest; worked with the insurance company, completed the repairs, and threw in a couple of extras. I went by the shop on the way home from work to check on the progress and Oscar gave me the details on what was being done and what needed to be done. All in all, when it was completed my 4Runner looked like new. Oscar also told me they replaced the rear mud flaps at no extra charge, pleasantly surprised and impressed!
I took my 4Runner to them for a small dent when it was hit in a parking lot. Oscar came out and greeted me by name which I was surprised by because it had been at least a year since I was there last. I told Oscar the details and he gave me some options. I went with the least amount of work /​cost. They were able to pop out the dent, but there were some minor scratch marks which I could live with after a little DIY touch up paint (after all, it is a truck).
Less than a month ago, I took my RX to First Class Auto Body after it got swiped in a parking lot (yes, I have the worst luck in parking lots). There was a scratch from the rear passenger bumper to the front passenger wheel well area (some areas were deep enough to catch my fingernail). I was really pissed about this since the car was barely 6 months old. Went in there, Oscar was there, and greeted me by name again (amazing it’s been at least a few years). Oscar looked at it and gave me a few options. Again I went with the least amount of work /​cost. Dropped the RX in the morning and by the afternoon got a call that it was ready. I went by after work to pick it up. Absolutely amazing! I swear it looks brand new, couldn’t even tell there was any damage. Oscar told me they were able to buff and polish out the scratch.
This is an absolutely great shop run by an honest family that does amazing work and also has great work ethics. I can’t say it enough, if you are in need of auto body repair definitely go to the shop that will treat you and your vehicle with class. First Class Auto Body.

Ever since I moved to the South Bay after I got married, I had been looking for a good, reliable mechanic to take care of the maintenance of my car (164,000 miles, 7 years old!) since I don’t plan on buying another car for at least another 5 years. I am so happy that I found out about First Class Auto Body!
When I first got there, the first thing I noticed was how immaculate the garage was. Having previously worked for a Sears Auto – which sees up to two dozen cars in a day – I know how dirty garages can get. And it was spotless! What’s more surprising was that the entire garage was filled with cars and yet the floor was clean. That, to me, is a good sign that they care about the garage and the cars that are going to be placed inside of them.
I had to get an oil change, and halfway through Oscar (the manager) told me that my air filters had to be changed because they were almost black. He told me that my air quality would improve after I got them changed out, and three days later I can confirm that my air does indeed smell a lot better inside of my car.
I loved the service here. They are very quick, professional, and open on Saturdays (which was why my previous search for mechanics was so difficult). I actually feel like Oscar really does care about my car and my drive and understands why I needed to find a good mechanic for a car as old as mine. I plan on coming back and telling my friends about it! They are the best!

My girlfriend and I just picked up her car from this shop, and noticed that the gas indicator was actually well *below* empty a few minutes after driving off the lot. We’re lucky it didn’t stop in the road before we reached a gas station.
When I called to complain, the guy who answered the phone said it’s actually her fault for bringing it in with a low tank before they used it up moving the car about the shop, and said, I quote, «It is what it is.»
EDIT: The shop owner called and was very apologetic, apparently the guy I spoke to has been rude to customers in the past and hadn’t followed shop policy on low tanks (tell the customer, ask if they want some added before they pick it up) and was let go. I feel bad about that, but it was nice to see that the owner really cares about keeping a decent business even if he has to make a tough call. I really appreciated that he took the time to call up and let us know that he heard about it, cared, and fixed it.
