For the record i’ve gone 3 times due to bday events and what not but at this point idc if the president invited me I wouldn’t go. You have to get there very early and wait hours on a line where you cannot even drink. Many people try and cut the lines and it is usually effective while you sit in the back. People aren’t as friendly as they say they are. They love using the phrase«Happiest Place on Earth» but if that includes people knocking your beers over, throwing up, long lines for porter potties and drunk fighting then it is perfect for you. People tend to still stay in their groups like high school students and don’t branch out. It ends up turning into a giant sing along of classics Karoake hits like«sweet caroline» and«Jessie’s Girl». Everyone has to go at least once but Idk why anyone would want to go more than once especially in the summer when way better options present themselves. If it comes down to Boardy Barn or a BBQ at my house i’m choosing the BBQ. I’m totally the go out kind so it’s a little odd. I’m giving it 2 stars because they have $ 1 hot dogs that just might be the best hot dogs I have ever eaten. I got around 12 of them before they run out. You might have fun and like I said you should go once no matter what but I won’t be going back. $ 20 admission(sometimes more on Holiday weekends) Typically $ 2 dollar beers(the cups look tiny but they are 12 ounce cups I measured) If it is the day of your Bday you show them your license and you get in free and cut the line. NOT if it is the week of your Bday it has to be the exact day. DONOTPREGAMEUNLESSYOUAREANIDIOT, ITIS A SHITSHOW DONOTWEARANORANGESHIRT

One of the best and funnest experiences I’ve ever had. As soon as you walk into the boardy barn, everyone is your friend. Good vibes and happy times! Will be going as much as possible next summer.

I’m glad that I went, but I will NEVER go again. First the good things: the music was awesome and the majority of people were cool some of the bouncers were pretty friendly and were happy to point me in the direction of where to get food, drinks, tshirts The AWFULTHINGS: I got into a fight with multiple bartenders for having to pay 2 $ for TAPWATER! I am handling people’s lives later(driving people home) and I wanted water to not get too drunk. Than some girl that looked like Taylor swift assaulted me and when I went to defend myself I was treated like a criminal, the bouncers were super rough with me even though I’m 5’2 and weigh 135. They wouldn’t let me get any of my stuff from the net and kept cursing at me. It was a PAIN to get home and overall, I didn’t enjoy myself that much and I’ll probably never go back and never suggest my friends to go either …

Oh Boardy Barn, I’m always black out here. Take a party bus, town car, the train if you’re cheap, just don’t drive here! This place is located in Guam, and it’s not really near the Hamptons hotels. My party bus scenario: We pull up to the parking lot in the shopping center next door. The line for Boardy snakes past the ropes to a yard all the way in the back. It’s only 1. We take turns standing in line while the others head back to the bus to partake in the keg and use the bathroom. On the way back from the bus, we see«friends» farther up in the line and skip all the minions who didn’t know someone. The line starts moving, Boardy’s open! The bouncers are very strict, and denied out of state licenses, passports, etc. Beers are $ 2 and served in plastic cups, and it’s 50% foam. I learn how to hold four cups in my hands and yes, they’re all for me. I weave past the crowd to get back to my friends, and am plastered with stickers from strangers on the way, My friends and I dance to the 90s music. and stuff like«Cotton Eyed Joe» and«Chicken Fried». We start feeling nice. i chug my four beers and head back for more. This time, the bartender hands me a long roll of stickers. After the next round, I head to the hot dog stand and eat 2 hot dogs. The day was a blur after that. You will run into people you worked with or went to high school with. You will leave sticky from beer spilled on you. Your sneakers will be soaked with beer. You will have circles all over your body from those darn stickers for a week. I love it here, although I’m getting a little too old to come back. Once again, don’t you drive unless you’re DD!

Jersey Shore has the Aspiration Bar in Belmar which is impressive in its enormity. But I can’t say anything remotely nice about its clientele which mostly consists of body-building, steroids-taking, hard-trying, muscle shirt-wearing and buzz-headed Jersey guys and their accompanying Jersey girls.(Jersey girls are fine. I don’t have problems with them. I just found many Jersey guys to be a bit menacing in their appearances and outward attitudes.) Eastern Long Island has the Boardy Barn, which is a far better answer and more joyful experience. Two Southampton born and raised girls I met at the Southampton Publick House encouraged me to come here on Sunday. And so I came, all the way from Montauk. I didn’t expect a barn-like environment. But that’s what Boardy Barn means. Silly me. I didn’t expect that many people on a Sunday afternoon-early evening. This place was packed with a few hundred people. The density and size of the crowd is literally the Union Square Saturday Farmer’s Market TIMES2(or 3). The music was loud and happy. The guys are in muscle shirts. The girls are running and dancing around. For a second, the A Bar in Belmar flashed across my mind. But luckily, I saw few buzz cuts. A happy and dancing crowd. I’m in. A few observations. 1) I saw very few smokers here; whereas at the A bar lit cigarettes abound and burned my arm once. 2) Long Island guys are not as toned and muscular as the Jersey guys. Maybe the former don’t have to prove anything. Life may indeed be more pleasant here on Long Island and hence the gentlemanly plump bodies. 3) Very few buzz cuts. Men wore normal-length hairs. 4) Quite a few alternative-style people. Some lesbians I saw. More culturally diverse than Jersey Shore, though I only saw 2 – 3 Asians and two dozen African Americans. Few Hispanics. One naturally wonders whether it’s worth risking their skins to be in their crowd given the high level of testosterone of the attendees(most in their early 20’s). No worries. The security is TIGHT. There are at least two dozen guys standing around, some on higher stools, and keeping watchful eyes on the revelers. During my two hours there, I witnessed 4 – 5 guys being individually thrown out, including one Asian guy — aren’t we supposed to be the model citizens? Some time later, a fight nearly broken out between two camps of guys. Half a dozen bouncers quickly stepped in, separated them before the punches were even thrown — they were that fast and efficient, I was amazed — and forcibly carried both camps out. GOODJOB. The tight security is keeping Boardy Barn a safe place. So, no worries and enjoy your time. The door is a bit expensive. $ 20. But in exchange, the beers are cheap. Hot dogs are a buck apiece. Just don’t drink and drive.

Literally the WORST bar around. I stepped out for one second to make a call and they wouldn’t let me back in. The bartender service is poor and the bouncer service is arguably the worst that I have ever seen from any bar that I’ve ever been to before. If you’re looking for a good time without any worries I’d highly advice staying away from this shit-hole.

Great time, well worth the travel, wait on line, and cover fee. Security is all eyes and on point so if your looking for a fight, you’ll be escorted out real quick. On the downside, we didn’t tip our bartender once and he started yelling and cursing obscenities at my friends and I. Completely unprofessional, but what you do expect from a guy who is drinking on the job anyway.

I’ve been here three times. Each time is unique and different from the last. First time I was here I had a blast. Although there was a misunderstanding and my guy friend got kicked out by bouncers and it was pretty intense to see. Second time was alright, and my other guy friend got kicked out. This time for no other reason then he looked to drunk? I mean it is the Boardy Barn and I saw a lot more messy people, but whatever, it probably was for the best. I wanted pizza anyway. Third time a charm? Went here last Sunday and had a blast. It didn’t feel as overwhelming this time around and there were absolutely no issues. Tips: –Don’t wear orange. Bouncers wear orange and you won’t be allowed in. –Drink water on line, don’t pregame. You’ll be tired and hung over mid way through. I didn’t the last time and I think that’s why I felt great and had more fun. –Expect to wait online for a long time, but it’s better waiting before it opens, rather than after. –Hang out in multiple places throughout the day. You might find an area you prefer more. Lastly, We took an Über from the train station to the barn and that was delightful. Took a taxi back and that was just as good. We took the 5ish pm train(fairly early), so we were on one of the more«peaceful» trains. Kinda. Oh and wear sneakers, please. If you want your feet to look like someone threw up confetti on you then wear those flips, be my guest. And don’t dress up because it’s not worth it.

If you don’t go here in your 20s, you’re doing it wrong. Best atmosphere & Sunday funday you can ever imagine. Wear clothes you don’t care about, grab the most fun friends you know, arrive before noon, and be ready to experience one of the greatest days of your lives. Don’t forget to try the $ 1 dogs, you won’t regret it.

Here is the deal. This place is a mess. But such a good time. I have heard horror stories about the line but it only took me about 20 minutes, it moved very quick. Once inside you see a bunch of under 25 year olds running a muck. Beer is spilled all over the place and they are covered in stickers. Legit had to throw out my shoes because they looked like I went through a car wash of bird s#!t. However, I had a GREAT time. Security is ONPOINT. If there is any indication a party is going to break out they are right there, if someone is overly intoxicated they will kick them out. Music is great and beer is only 2 dollars(however it’s only bud light and Budweiser — yuck). I think it’s def a place you need to experience at least once in your life time, but try to go before you hit 25 or you will feel like a grandma/pa!!!

Knowing the barn exist is a dream come true. Actually going is living the dream. For 6 hours one day a week, the barn creates an experience which many people use to have fun like they just celebrated their 21st, 25th and 30th birthdays all at the same time. I recommend the barn for anyone who enjoys cold beer, loud rock, awesome bartenders, great people, safe environments, and memories that should last til future generations get to make their own.

Went here when it opened in the Stone Age(35 years ago), and it is Exactly the same today. Very loud. Long Lines. 2″ of beer on the floor and more drunk idiots in one place than you will ever see gathered under a tent in the Hampton’s. The police are right outside the entrance making multiple DWI arrests. People vomiting in the shopping center parking lot next door is totally disgusting. The only positive is that the owner holds some charity events that adults show up to enjoy the«gift of giving» «That’s All Folks» Additional Tips: This place is open Sundays Only. Thats 14 days a year MD– LD

Oh Boardy Barn. You wild and crazy venue. If you are between 21 – 30, it is something you have to try once. If you are over 35, you are creepy and should not be there. First off, be prepared to wait an hour just to get in, if not longer. If you go, take a plastic baggie for your ID, cash, cigs, etc. Don’t wear sandals or flip fops. Be prepared to have beer poured on you so wear clothes and sneakers you don’t mind getting wet is the route to go. I also wouldn’t wear anything that I would hate to loose(think jewelry, watches, etc). Anything that is not essential leave at home. Music is great(and loud) and it gets extremely crowded. They sell bud and bud light outside and inside they do have a full bar. But you are better off just staying outside and having some cheap beers. Security is almost everywhere so keep that in mind. Throwing a beer will get you thrown out pretty quick. Police are also waiting outside and in the shopping center across the street for drunk drivers, overly intoxicated individuals and the like. Have fun but don’t be sloppy fall down drunk.

I would recommend checking this place out at least once, but if you are no longer in your twenties once will probably be enough. First, be prepared to wait in line(a ridiculously long line) for hours to get in. People line up for hours before it opens so if you get there at the time they start letting people in(3 pm) expect to get inside around 5. There’s a $ 20 cover when you finally get to the entrance, but once you get in it’s actually a pretty great time. It’s beyond packed everywhere you go, but if you go to the bar inside there is less of a line for drinks and you might find some room to stand without getting ran into or beer spilled on you. The positives of boardy barn are the $ 2 beers, the smiley stickers they give everyone, and the amazing music they play the whole time. We found ourselves saying«oh I love this song!» over and over again. It’s a happy place and everyone is in a good mood so it makes dealing with the crowdedness more doable. Some tips– 1. The stickers are super powerful and when you take them off they leave circles on your skin for weeks. I would suggest not letting them touch your skin at all. I am currently full of skin colored polka dots from last weekend. 2. Do not wear anything you care about. I threw out my shoes when I got home. The ground is covered in mud and beer and people will be wasted and too close together which causes a lot of beer to be spilled on people at all times. 3. Get there early and bring a bottle of water to drink while you are in line.(Or you can prob sneak some alcohol onto the line which will make standing there a lot more fun.) 4. Go to the back bar and ask the guy for stickers even if it says they don’t have any.

Definitely do it once in your life. I’m not sure about going back for a second round though. A few pointers for people who are curious… 1. Wear shoes you don’t care about. The floor gets mucky and I don’t want to know what that muck is made of. I bleached my flip flops after that experience and thought about bleaching my feet too. 2. Go in with a large group. I went as half of a crazy little two-girl team and we had a hilarious Harold and Kumar meets The Hangover kind of day. Things got weird. If you want a more sane experience go in a larger group! 3. LEAVEBEFORECLOSING! I can’t stress this enough. We missed our train home. Things got weird. If I go next time I’m setting an alarm on my phone so I don’t make the same mistake twice. 4. Keep track of how much you’re drinking. Set a limit. $ 2 beers is probably a really good explanation for why things got weird. 5. Odds are you’re going to get a little too drunk to take a decent selfie, but Dave has your back! Just gravitate towards the entrance and you’ll end up in his pictures. 6. $ 1 dogs. Helps with the beer. Enough said. 7. This is Disney for alcoholics. Expect to have a good time with strangers! 8. Expect a sunburn. It’s all outdoors so even if you remember sunblock when you’re getting ready, odds are you won’t remember to reapply later. All in all it’s a swell time, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Oh god, Boardy Barn. Where to begin hahaha… Definitely an interesting, one-of-a-kind place on LI. Where else can you wait inline for an hour, only to stand around in the boiling sun drinking the lowest quality beers for $ 2? Haha. This place is the definition of binge drinking. There are no chairs and most importantly, NO tables and very long bar lines. So basically, everyone orders 4 drinks at a time because the wait is so long for a drink, but then they can’t put the drinks down anywhere, so they chug them so they don’t have to hold 4 drinks hahah. Most likely you will not leave here in any state that’s below trashed/wasted. Port-a-potties are the go-to for peeing since their much quicker than going inside and using the actual bathrooms. But even those get a long line. $ 20 to get in, some basic liquor is available but its around $ 6 a cup instead of $ 2 like the beers. Place opens at like 2pm but I suggest going around 4 or 5pm even, the wait is usually not so long to get in. Closes at 8pm.

$ 1 hot dogs, $ 2 beers, music that everyone knows, and an all around wild party! Do go early, as the line is always extensive, and I’m sure most people already know, this place is ONLY open on Sundays. Take the train into Hampton Bays, and then either walk or take a cab(it’s only a mile away) to the barn. Pre-gaming makes the line a party in itself, but be discreet about it. Bouncers WILL make you throw out any alcohol if they see it. There’s a liquor store in the strip mall right next to the barn, I suggest buying a few mini bottles of liquor and consuming them stealthily. Check the train schedule, and whatever you do, do NOT miss that last train out of Hampton Bays! Also, don’t wear nice clothes… or open toed shoes if you can avoid it. From personal experience, I can say that walking around with a broken flip flop was not pleasant. Ended up going barefoot *shudder*, but that sort of thing isn’t frowned upon at the barn thankfully! Come opening day, and experience the madness. I’ll be there.
