Ask how much any repairs cost before you leave your stuff — I was charges 50 $ for a watch battery replacement and to have the prongs on a ring pushed down– 10– 20 minutes worth of work for 50 $ — I had the same battery replaced for 10 $ and a ring setting fixed for 25 $ at another jewelers.

Wow, Joe is incredible. He is amazingly kind, and very good at his work. I wanted him to replace my center stone with a new one, and did a great job. I also had him change the prongs on my ring, which turned out incredibly beautiful.
I will definitely be going to him when I want to re-​set my center stone into a pendant :) I’m extremely glad to have a jeweler in town, and won’t go to anyone else!

Mr Conte rebuilt a ring for us. He gave us a great price and finished the ring in one day. It is dazzling. I found him to be extremely helpful and patient. They even clean a silver necklace for us while we were shopping. We shall be happy to shop with him again.

Brought in a gold ring to be fixed and they did an amazing job! Not only were they soo very nice, they did excellent work, at a fair price and very very quickly. I would absolutely use them again.

4 – 6 weeks to have a simple repair/​turned alteration (without my knowledge or consent) with no regard to aesthetics. beyond disappointed.

I am very happy with this store. I went here to have a piece of jewelry repaired. The jewelry was not valuable, but it was very sentimental and important to me. I was treated royally and made to feel important. The repair went beyond my expectations and I am very, very pleased with the work. Thank you guys!

Twice in the last year I broke my Swiss Army watch band. On both occasions I walked into Conte’s Jewelers on a Saturday morning and had the band fixed while I waited at a very reasonable cost. When it comes time to purchase jewelery in the future, this is where I will go. Service and price in the same place.

As dudes, we work very hard at being lazy. One of the ways we accomplish this is by utilizing the knowledge of other «dudes». The best way to do this is to «have a guy». You know what I mean, you need your roof done, you mention it to a buddy over a few beers, and he says, «I have a guy». You use that guy, everything is great, and now, he’s *your* guy.
Joe Conte is *my* guy. Not originally. Originally I had «a guy» at a jeweler in Waterbury. Then my friend brought me to Joe.
First of all, when you go to a jeweler, usually some tool in a half-​assed business suit comes to greet, er, sell you. Joe wears jeans. Jeans and an apron. A dirty apron. He’s got jeweler’s goggles on his head. His fingernails are dirty. There’s a dog behind the counter.
They don’t just sell jewelry, they make it. After you build your dream piece, you’ll realize the price is right in line with something you’d have bought.
I was so impressed (with the price!) that my fiancé is getting TWO wedding bands — one for either side of the engagement ring. His price came in at around half what I had expected, based on my engagement ring experience, so why not look ACE. Beat that story at the gym on neighboring treadmills!
