Looking for the best deli in Hallandale, Florida? You’ve got to check us out at Sage Bagel & Deli! With over 40 years in business our family owned and operated deli shop is the best in town. Our commitment to providing our customers with homemade classic favorites and quality service, has kept us in business and made us one of the most popular deli restaurants in all of Hallandale. Ask any local, and you’ll quickly learn about our reputation for good food, good service, and good times.
We’re not your ordinary deli in Hallandale. Many delis in town have decided to forego on quality and upgrade on efficiency by sacrificing taste and using pre-made ingredients. At Sage Bagel & Deli we still prepare everything from scratch. We still use classic family recipes that never called for any fillers or shortcuts. Since everyone loved these recipes from the get-go, we figured why would we change what works? Our recipes are deliciously tried-and-true.
History
Established in 1973.
In 1972, my husband Milton and I decided to leave the hustle and bustle of Queens and move our bagel baking operation, along with our family, to Hallandale, Florida. In 1973, Sage Bagel & Appetizer was born. We were a small store, simply bagels and an appetizing case, & a simple theory on quality – if an item wasn’t exceptional, we wouldn’t sell it. With generations of bagel bakers behind us and one in front, we knew we had a winner, and we hoped South Florida was the right outlet. Of course, we’ve now expanded into a full-service deli and restaurant, though our commitment to excellence was not waned. This commitment has been instilled in every member of the family, any number of whom you can find somewhere on the premises, either behind the counter or in the restaurant & there’s always a Fuerst present, making sure our customers are happy, whether it’s my son Harvey, my daughters-in-law, or even one of my grandchildren. So stop by, nosh! With warm regards Iris Fuerst, original owner
