David Day Painting & Decorating

I have hired David Day Painting for several of our office painting jobs and he has always followed through in a timely manner. He goes out of his way to be sure the colors are correct and we are happy with the results. We even picked a color that wasn’t quite right for the size of the room and he came back and repainted it the next day. He is always professional along with his workers. I would recommend him to all my friends and family.

I have used David Day for many years for jobs inside and out. He and his crew do a fantastic job. They are clean, trustworthy and dependable. You won’t be disappointed!

David’s initial impression is extremely professional. I hired him, and found him to be very scattered, unorganized and spread way to thin. He tells you what you want to hear. And just as Douglas said, trying to get him on track to complete the job once paid is nearly impossible. I wish I could give him more stars because his crew was friendly. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough for me to bring him back for other projects.

Disappointed. We engaged David on a neighbor’s recommendation to paint my daughter’s room. After an initial successful visit, David offered to come back and apply a second coat of paint in order to please my wife who didn’t think the first coat provided sufficient coverage. David is a friendly guy and when I offered to have him take care of the 2^nd coat of paint anytime at his convenience, it seemed like it would happen. I was prepared to give him our outdoor deck staining project (which I had mentioned to him on his first visit) next. I then tried at least 5 times (email, phone and text) to schedule the visit but never heard back from him. Very disappointed.

I just moved into a townhouse in Half Moon Bay that is on 5 levels, has some very high ceilings, and some strange architectural features that make painting the interior a challenge. I had 4 painters come in and do estimates. Three of them were fairly close to each other — 1 came in crazy high. I chose David Day and turns out that was an awesome choice. While he had a crew of four working on the place, he was there himself several times most days to make sure everything was going smoothly, solving any problems, etc. If there was a problem, he fixed it. Period. The quality of the work done was fantastic … no drips, no blurred lines between trim and the walls or accent walls. There was a fair amount of patching to be done before they could start painting, and it was seamless. They even had to completely retexture a wall, and did a great job there too. David himself is as nice as they come, and very responsive by phone. Plus, he lives nearby, so if I have any issues I know he’ll come over as soon as he can. Overall, he’s a great resource, and his crew is great at what they do. I highly recommend using David Day for any interior paint job you might have … and they do exteriors as well.
