Structural Elements™ is an Orthopedic Wellness Clinic, we use Acupuncture/​Dry Needling and Manual Therapy to treat Orthopedic conditions of all kinds. We specialize in treating active individuals who are suffering from injury or just want to improve performance.

History

Established in 2013.

Structural Elements open the doors in Hagerstown in 2013. Owner, Douglas Bertram has been treating Orthopedic conditions for over 20 years.

Business Owner

Douglas is the owner of Structural Elements™. He has been assessing and treating orthopedic disorders for the past fifteen years. He completed a four-​year medical program in Traditional Eastern Medicine at Five Branches University, in Santa Cruz, California in order to become a Nationally Certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine from the NCCAOM and a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Maryland.

Douglas started his career as a massage therapist and subsequently studied first hand with the developers of several modalities including Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, and Neuro-​Energetic Release. His extensive training in structural bodywork led him to Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, where he earned his B.A. in Contemplative Psychology. Douglas has practiced in multiple clinical settings throughout the United States treating along side Medical Doctors, Physical Therapists, and Chiropractors.
