I’m pretty sure the half keg prices are the same as they were in 2004, that alone is worth four stars. They also have a great bottle return room in the back. I’m glad it’s still there, so kids don’t forget to recycle and use that money to buy more booze. Liquors 44 loses 1 star because they stopped carrying Paper City. Now I can’t get it anywhere in Amherst when I visit. If I promise to give them a heads up of a month or so, maybe they’ll stock it just for me? They also sell graduation class t-shirts for current students. If they offered Class of 2004 Liquors 44 T-shirts today? 5 stars.

Excellent! Great variety and full selection! This place is really big, well organized and well priced. They have a huge selection of microbrews and craft beers along with a veritable wine selection. I’ve never had trouble finding a brand of liquor that suits my needs– they have a lot of different ones at different price points. Great service too.

I would have just given this store four stars but they stock a nice selection of german beer now so 5 it is! Please keep that German beer selection growing. When I drink a beer I want it smooth like a milkshake.

My new toy store… Didn’t smell any funk from the recycle center when I went.

In the absence of a Kappys, western MA turns to liquors 44 for the miscellaneous drunken needs. Prices here are best in the area, with alot of sales to drive the price down further. Selection is amazing, I actually found 12 packs of Brooklyn Lager, something I had never seen at a liquor store. Employees are nice, not especially helpful but I have yet to have a single experience that even brushed with rudeness.

First place I go for alcohol. Biggest selection around Amherst area. Price is also good and always has sales. Customer service is good. Never had a problem. They warn you if you are buying over 20 gallons. Do not drink with over 20 gallons of alcohol. The police will take your booze and fine you!

Best selection I’ve seen in the area. They have a lot of craft beers and a pretty extensive selection of liquor ranging from the cheap college stuff to a decent selection of single malts and the wine selection is huge. They’re a little lacking in the higher end vodkas, but this isn’t surprising considering they probably sell most of their vodka to college kids. The prices, while not rock bottom, are some of the best I’ve seen in the area and the specials(there are a lot) are usually great deals. The place does smell a little funky(not really that bad just weird) but I think most people can deal with that given the selection and prices.

Ummm. The place is starting to reek a bit of old beer from the recycle center. I think it might be time for some steam cleaning guys.
