I won a gift certificate to the Apron at a silent auction. So I ordered a few sandwiches to see how it was. The food was great, simple but fresh good quality ingredients. I would love to eat here more often but unfortunately their hours are limited. But I’m glad I tried it!

I really like Apron, it is my go-to spot for lunch. The food is great — all homemade and fresh. There is usually a variety of options in the display case so I never feel like I am having the same thing every day. I have ordered the sandwiches before and those are delicious, especially the Jim’s Chicken and Unforgettable Chicken Salad. Only a few things hold be back from giving them a 5 star review. First off, the prices are a little high for the quantity. Secondly, the service can be a bit spotty. There have been occasions where I’ve waited to have my order taken for 5 minutes while the employees stand in the kitchen and talk. The last thing I would change is that they only offer white wraps, not whole wheat. If they did offer a whole wheat wrap I would come here WAY more often than I already do! Overall though, this is my favorite spot in Haddonfield for lunch.

I had soup and a half sandwich. The soup was excellent and the chicken salad on a half baguette was to die for! Great service with suggestions.

If any of my coworkers found out that I was writing a 5-star review for Apron, they’d all roll their eyes and go «yup, we know.» I have worked in Haddonfield for two and a half years, and after trying pretty much every place in town, Apron is now my go-to. The food is very much«my mom just made turkey meatloaf, do you want some?» Lots of home-cooked goodness, with a healthful twist. There’s tons of kale and quinoa for the«food snob» in you, but they also have a good peanut butter & jelly sandwich(with apples!). The menu varies pretty regularly, with new quiches and roasted veggies every few days. I primarily come here for the soup, about which I am generally quite picky. It’s always homemade and you can get an advance preview of the week’s soups on their website. They even take customer suggestions sometimes. The split pea is always a big winner, it has fresh baked ham in it rather than those creepy cube things. The staff here is great; they are generally very friendly. They can sometimes get a little harried around the lunch rush, and you might have to wait a little. If you’re impatient, I suggest you call ahead. They’re a family business and love to chat it up if they know you. The only negative part about the Apron experience is possibly the prices-I’ve known multiple people to complain about how much stuff here costs. I tend to think paying for high-quality tastes-like-homemade food is worth it, so YMMV. Real talk: I would not be going to this place 3 times a week if I didn’t think they were freaking amazing. This is so much better than getting a slice of pizza at some crappy chain restaurant.

I wandered in to a buy a quart of chicken soup for my hubs. The very nice lady helping me told me they roast their own chicken for the soup and bake the baguettes fresh every day(they get the dough from NY). It was YUM(though I only have personal knowledge of the bread!). My hubs loved the soup and the bread was perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. I can’t wait to try to the lunch specials, a wrap/soup/salad combo deal for 8 bucks.

Classic home cooked meals can be found at Apron in downtown Haddonfield. Get the buffalo chicken sandwich on the baguette. The baguette is perfect parts crunchy and chewy. Seriously, it’s so addictive. They also have the lunchbox special, which is half a sandwich with soup or salad. Absolutely love. I’m lucky I work across the street and can visit any time I wish.

We read an article that they had great pot pies every Wednesday, so decided to try it out. When we got there they had a big chalkboard sign out front advertising«pot pies today!». When we went to order them however, they told us they didn’t make them that day because of a catering job. I asked why they had the sign outside then, and they denied it. The guy said come back the next week, and guaranteed they’d have them. Back we went, and again no pot pies. The excuse this time was they were too busy. I asked why all the signs advertising its their Wednesday special. The lady got very nasty, saying we’d have to call 2 days in advance and order them. I told her we were there the week before and told they would be in. She just responded it was our fault for not calling. Why should I have to call to find out if they’re actually serving something they’re advertising? Their dismissive attitude was the worst part. A simple apology and offer to discount something else to try would have gone a long way. I will not be returning.

Apron is my happy place! It always smells wonderful inside and their food is phenomenal. I pick up lunch there at least once or twice a week and am never disappointed. As far as recommendations, I’m a huge fan of the chicken soups, the«DLJ» sandwich(turkey meatloaf with bacon and spicy mayo), the ham and Brie sandwich and, of course, the incredible chicken salad. That’s a lot of favorites, but I could go on and on. The occasional meatball parm special is amazing, the rice crispy treats are perfect, and the owners/staff are so warm and welcoming. It’s wonderful to have a multi-generational family business in town, and to have it cooking up such wonderful things to boot!

I work across the street from Apron and should really stop in more often. The chicken salad sandwich is a specialty of theirs, which means I’m in love. I just wish the prices were a little cheaper, but hey, they’re part of the main stretch of downtown Haddonfield, so what can you expect?

I love Jess and the Apronettes! Their chicken salad is to die for and chicken soup is just like mom’s. Pauline is the best. Don’t miss their chicky pot pies! A++++++++

Real good, home style, slow cooked food. The place is small and has a very nice and cozy motif with some fantastic smells coming from the kitchen. The chicken salad wrap is their own take on a «waldorf style» and was better than any I’ve ever tasted before. The turkey meatloaf sandwich was very tasty and I highly recommend asking for the spicy hot pepper mayo on just about anything. We also had a uniquely done quinoa and kale salad that had bits of feta, craisins and all sorts of great stuff in it, a personal favorite! Overall a great little gem on the main drag of Haddonfield.

Stopped here for lunch with my mom and brother on a Thursday afternoon. Cute on the outside and nice interior. Small, cute, cozy. Food was good! We all got sandwiches and enjoyed them. Bread was soft and everything was nice and fresh. Good portion sizes too. Really liked this place and will be back for sure!

Really nice mom and pop type place. The chicken pot pies are amazing. The menu is very creative and always changing. The soups are great as well. The african peanut soup especially kicks butt.

As far as the décor goes, its a nice little place. It sort of feels like you are in your grandma’s kitchen or an old school diner. The food all looks delicious in the display. I settled on the lunch box daily special, which for me was a ½ saucy simone sandwich and a ½ caesar salad. I was a little annoyed that no one asked me if I wanted anything to drink and I had to wait until later to actually place that order. Also there didn’t seem to be a set person taking orders, as one of the ladies in the back came up and took my order while an older gentleman chewed the fat with one of the locals sitting at the main counter. My sandwich and salad arrived within a reasonable time span. The saucy simone as listed is roast beef, horseradish sauce, blue cheese, red onion and greens on a bagette. The bagette was probably the best thing about the sandwich sadly. The roast beef was stringy/chewy and what little horseradish sauce that was on the sandwich had no bite to it. The blue cheese and onion were decent. The caesar sandwich was just ok. After reading all of the positive reviews of this place, I can’t but wonder if I came on an off day. I’ll stop back at some point and try some other things and see if they are any better.

Really a hidden gem — amazing food! Loved the mushroom and goat cheese pasta and shepherd’s pie. Fameous for their chicken pot pie. Great place for if you don’t feel like cooking, and very reasonably priced. Great for catering and takeout and has a few tables in case you’d like to sit and enjoy.

Comfort food with a contemporary flair. Amazing soups(always 3 and at least one vegan/vegetarian). Wonderful friendly staff! The best thing to happen to downtown Haddonfield in decades.

I still like this place a lot. Tend to get the Pop’s Turkey sandwich, but also really liked the PB&J with extra apples and the new Amelia sandwich with slaw and chipotle. The slaw is made with red cabbage so it’s magenta! Perfect for something different, but not weird.
