One of the best Italian deli’s I have ever been to. Their most popular items include their chicken cutlets, or their eggplant parmigiana. They make everything fresh daily, and even make the fresh mozzarella in house. One of the most popular subs is the Richard. Fresh Italian bread topped with their famous chicken cutlets, freshly made Italian bruschetta, and a generous portion of their house made mozarella. I love to ask for a side of their high quality aged balsamic vinegar on the side, and I drizzle that on. You can also get the chicken, bruschetta, and mozarella over a salad or just on a plate instead of a sub. The only downside about this restaurant is that it is only open during lunch hours. They use all the finest quality fresh Italian imported ingredients, are incredibly accommodating if you want to change or add anything to what’s on the menu, and are a truly welcoming Italian family owned place. It’s not fancy, and people mostly take out, though there are a few tables to eat there. But I love this place. Last time I was there, the woman in front of me on line mentioned she drove an hour just to order her lunch from there. And I don’t blame her — it’s DELICIOUS!

Close to my office. The food is very good. I like their cold sandwiches and soups. The service is not nice.

Food is standard. Prices are outrageous, and are always changing based on the owner’s mood. Employees are always touching money with the gloves they wear to handle your food. Most of what you’re going to get will be tossed in the microwave to heat it up. If you order a sandwich even slightly out-of-the-ordinary, the owner(or one of the employees) will either make a snotty comment or a stupid face like its a problem. I try not to go there anymore.

I’ve heard nothing but great things about V&T and I’m happy to report that they do not disappoint. I’ve ordered the«Bella», a grilled chicken sandwich complete with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and honey mustard; and the«Al Capone» which is like a turkey club sandwich with Russian dressing. I believe it was my first time ever having Russian dressing and I’m sure glad I didn’t stray away from V&T’s speciality sandwich concoctions. It kinda reminded me of McDonald’s mac sauce except, of course, much tastier and fresher. Bread is fresh and portions are portioned to the $ 7.00-$ 8.00 price tag. Both sandwiches were exceptional and always look forward to a V&T sandwich for lunch. Only downfall: my bread was soggy by the time it arrived and they aren’t the greatest on delivery. It seems like they are constantly busy and it makes managing and sending out delivery orders difficult. Also, they’re are times you can’t even get through to them on the phone to place your order during lunch hours! Patience wears a little thin when this happens but it’s a sacrifice that I’m willing to take in order to enjoy a delicious V&T sandwich!

Great hot foods with a variety of italian staples like sausage & peppers, eggplant parm, ziti ect. They also have killer sandwiches. Great for lunch. Remember only cash if your order is less than $ 10.

Italian deli’s are my comfort zone. I try to go to a new one at least once a month. Up today was V & T Salumeria. For whatever reason, their have only been 12 reviews for this place so far. Something different will always stand out for me. Besides the great food that is. It’s gotta be the most reasonably priced deli that I’ve been to so far. Most are less than $ 8.00 a pop. That’s definitely something I’m not used to seeing in my area. Came in earlier this afternoon & ordered 2 sandwiches to go. They were… «Godfatha.“Imported prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers balsamic vinegar. Then came“Scarface.“It was chicken cutlets(served warm), with American cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes & mayo. Both were served on soft Italian rolls. Their gourmet sandwich creations are also available on plain, whole wheat, spinach or tomato wraps. Also of some note is a small breakfast menu & salads for lunch which looked very hearty. Worth a peek if your in the area.

Friendly sweet workers and spacious and air conditioned dining area. My prosciutto and mozzarella cold sandwich with peppers and balsamic was hearty, salty, sweet, tangy, and delicious. $ 7. The bread was a little too hard for my liking. I recommend this place!

Best sandwiches in Hackensack hands down. Expect a fairly long line if you go during peak lunch hours.

The owner is very nice, the food is good. Yes, sometimes there is a long line and it moves a bit slow but if the food wasn’t good, there wouldn’t be a line

Tutto bene! I’m a proud ginzo and love when I find authentic Italian people still preparing the homeland food the way it’s supposed to be. The owner can be on the grouchy side, but her food is dam good. Oh and if you know the slightest Italian and speak to her, she loves it(it got me extra sauce and fresh mozzarella over my buddy’s sandwich). I go here for the same basic thing because it’s great. Either the chicken parm or the eggplant parm.

I thought this place was good. The line was long which a good sign that this place makes good food. The sandwich i ordered was perfect. I will be back.

I’ve only had the grilled eggplant sandwich on a soft roll with mutz arugula and balsamic vinegar. Yes they have both hard and soft rolls available. Sandwich was good and well stuffed. I enjoy a sandwich that doesn’t fall apart after the first bite. A line builds up during the lunch rush hour and the service is a bit slow so I usually try to avoid this to be in and out. Tip: I like the munincipal parking lot behind wells Fargo because it accepts nickel and dimes for the quick pick ups

Okay I’m excited. A good deli with a lot of options that’s close to my office! Prices are reasonable(for this area). The sandwich I got today was fresh and flavorful, and the pasta salad was completely delicious and was filled with pickled carrots and artichokes. The hot italian stuff looked good too. They have quite a few salads and snacks as well. I’m psyched to try some new quasi-healthy stuff! We’ve been back frequently for lunch and haven’t been disappointed. Make sure you try the chicken cutlets — they’re so crispy they’re almost chicken schnitzel!

Packed between 12 and 1 but line moves quick. Prices are reasonable and the food is fantastic. The chicken cutlets, meatballs and the sausage and peppers are great.

Stopped in here after my first day of work at the courthouse and am greatly surprised at how good it was. Got a meatball parm and couldn’t eat the bread due to stomach issues. The mozz is amazing, nicely salty and a little chewy. They didn’t even charge me full price for a second round of meatballs. Great place. Will be coming back!

If you like prosciute and fresh muzzarel drenched with oil/vinegar on hard italian roll, this is your place. The sanggwiches are $ 7 bucks though, which does not include drink. After all is said and done, you are looking at $ 10 for lunch. Is $ 10 for lunch the new normal? But I remember paying 5 buckaroos for lunch not too long ago. What happened? Damn inflation! IMO, $ 10 for lunch is the new abnormal.

Good food, always busy. Would get more stars if line moved faster. Would help if owner let other employees ring up orders.
