Specialties

At Cabbage Patch Saloon we are a whiskey bar that specializes in craft cocktails, whiskeys from all of the world, and we carry a selection of craft beers and spirits from all over Michigan. We carry a wide selection of fantastic dry cured meats and various cheeses to pair. Our charcuterie boards are beautifully crafted from hardwood salvaged in Detroit. We also have an assortment of whiskey flights for tasting and learning about this wonderful spirit.

With such a large, wide layout and square footage we are able to host a wide array of events here as well. Live music from local bands fill the bar Saturday nights through the month. Private parties or all types have been catered to here ranging from a small wedding shower to larger corporate events and even wine and food tastings.

For the movie lovers of the world every Thursday we host a Brew and View. Come watch your favorite movies and enjoy themed cocktails and specials along with fresh popcorn!

History

Established in 2014.

The Cabbage Patch Saloon takes it’s name from the surrounding neighborhood here in Grosse Pointe. The cabbage patch has undergone a huge transformation recently and we are proud and excited to be here now when there is so much more to come. Come and support the area and be a part of it’s growth as we moved forward, making Grosse Pointe, the cabbage patch and the Cabbage Patch Saloon a destination spot for your nightlife.

Meet the Manager

Ryan S.

Manager

I left Grosse Pointe Park shortly after graduating high school here and pursued the military and a college degree, all the while working as a bartender in Detroit and Ann Arbor. After accomplishing all that I wanted in the Army including a deployment to Afghanistan and receiving a degree in Philosophy from Eastern Michigan University I came home to Grosse Pointe. I began transitioning from being a bartender to pay bills to managing and opening bars and restaurants because I love this industry.

My first big opportunity as a full time restaurant manager came when I was hired to give new life to a failing bistro in West Bloomfield. After months of hard work the restaurant finally had the clients and nightlife it needed to not only compete with other establishments in the area but thrive.

I took on this project because of the amazing opportunity it is to be at the front of the renaissance taking place here in Grosse Pointe. I am excited to be a part of the city and this business. Cheers!
