In 2013 my husband and I went to Mr Gilbert’s office and explained to his assistant our situation regarding a car accident where we were hitting from behind in a red light. His assistant explained that she was going to review our case and we decided to hire Mr Gilbert to represent us. I personally never met or talk to Mr Gilbert. Mr Gilbert of his assistant encouraged my husband to go to a chiropractic referred by him where he mentioned it will look good for my husband case due that he lost his job due to the injury he suffered from the accident. That chiropractor billed like crazy for procedures and therapy that my husband never received. After months of not receiving any info about our case, my husband and I received a phone call and a letter stating that we could not sue our car insurance because the statute of limitation in Oregon had past. My case was neglected because it was untended. Mr Oliver who is Mr Gilbert employee informed that my case was over that there was not much to do because I would ended up paying thousands of $$ out of packed. I felt encouraged and almost forced to settle my claim by Mr Oliver. After almost 2 years of frustration and stress, I decided to close my case which I received almost nothing for the injury that I suffer. The worst part was my husband case. He went to a deposition and at the end of it, Mr Oliver informed my husband that his case was really good and he was most likely to wing if they decided to go to court. Days later Mr Oliver told my husband that it will be better for him not going to court because he will ended up paying a lot of money plus he had to pay to the chiropractor that bill for service that he didn’t provide (by the way Mr Gilbert and the chiropractor are good friend. The chiropractor told that to my husband). My husband who was severe injured was almost forced to settle his claim. He never did or authorized Mr Gilbert to do so, but Mr Gilbert settled my husband case without his consent. My husband received a ridiculous amount from the insurance that you would even buy 5 decent dinner for that amount. I have no proofs that Mr Gilbert commited a fraud but I sure belived that he had something unprofessional going on with the ins lawyers. He neglected my case and my husband case because it was unattended due that his employee was no longer working there. If you want to hired him, ask him if he has malpractice ins. He is not your friend and he doesn’t work for you best interest. He works to put as much $$ as he can on his pocket, not yours.
