We help people deal with insurance companies after injuries or other losses. Insurance companies spend millions of dollars training their adjusters to use every tool possible to minimize your claim. Our job is to keep them honest and make sure that your claim is fairly handled and that you receive the compensation to which you are entitled.

History

Established in 2006.

Attorney Tom Melville began his legal career in a large downtown Portland law firm handling cases for major insurance companies like State Farm, Allstate, Farmers, etc. After several years he began his own practice in Gresham handling many kinds of cases.

In 2006 Tom and his paralegal, Annette Currier, decided to pursue their mutual passion of holding insurance companies accountable. Together Tom and Annette have more than 40 years’ experience handling insurance claims. Today our office specializes in handling a wide variety of personal injury claims. We handle many other kinds of insurance claims as well, including fire and property damage or theft.

Our downtown Gresham office is easy to find, has plenty of free parking and does not require anyone to drive downtown for consultations. Just give us a call and find a time to come in. We look forward to meeting you.

Meet the Business Owner

Thomas M.

Business Owner

Tom was born in the Midwest and educated at the University of Vermont and the University of Idaho. Tom began his legal career clerking in the trial courts for Nez Percé County, Idaho where he learned about trial practice and discovered his passion for advocacy on behalf of others.

He moved to Oregon shortly after passing both the Oregon and Idaho bar exams. He began at the Portland firm of Cosgrave, Vergeer & Kester, where his practice focused on defending motor vehicle cases. Clients in those cases were the insurance companies as well as the drivers themselves.

It only took a few years for Tom to learn that he preferred advocating for injured people to defending insurance companies. He started his own practice in 2000 and formed the Gresham Injury Law Center in 2006 as the next step in the commitment to helping people through the sometimes complicated issues in insurance claims.

He brings years of experience with insurance claims and jury trials to every case.
