Mt. Hood Pet Medical – Gresham

Took a stray cat here who had been injured. I was told it would be 500 to start treating but probably more money to help him. Told them we simply couldn’t afford it and they were very dehumanizing and rude to me.
Went to the vet across powell near hillcrest and they treated the cat for about 100. Not sure why the prices here are so high, that’s fine to charge whatever you want but being rude is not ok.
Won’t be back, and I strongly advise everyone against ever going here.

I have three dogs on their wellness plan, and I have seen all four vets. Dr. Nelson is my strong preference; she has shown great care to all my animals and referred us to a specialist when one poor fellow had a chronic condition she could not tame.
The wellness plan makes a big difference. I can bring any dog in at any time without charge, plus it includes annual teeth cleaning.
I’ve seen other vets, but the combo of quality care and affordable pricing I’ve only found here.

I hate having to leave this poor review but beware! Mt Hood is a clean well organized Vet. The problem comes from the lack of concern over Prescription Diet food orders and the lack of explanation of comprehensive blood test results of my beloved Kai Noah. I use a very expensive dog food Prescription Diet ($ 2.80 a can) for my 13 year old terrier mix who do to my ignorance of proper diet is diabetic and blind. Every time I ordered the food which needs a Doctor prescription the order was wrong. My problem is if they are screwing up a simple food order what else is not being done properly. I had a very expensive blood test done at the recommendation of the Doctor concerning Kai Noahs blood sugar levels. I was handed a complicated three page report and sent home without any detailed explanation. Mt Hood Vet might be good at stitching up a wound but I not sure if their up to more complicated issues.
