I received a gift certificate for my birthday. The services paid for: one hour massage, manicure and pedicure and hair wash and blow dry. Massage was excellent! $ 45.00 because I was a first time client. Manicure and Pedicure $ 72.00. That equals $ 117.00, now mind you, the gift certificate was $ 125.00. My bad — easy to add; nevertheless, the nail lady said I owed $ 10.00. I paid and I tipped her! Kinda think she tipped herself. Bad business practice. I won’t go back, but I will settle business!

I made an appointment with Meagan the day before I wanted to come in and I had the best experience. I went in and described what I wanted (pretty poorly I admit) and Meagan listened and then went to mix colors. She brought back two different shades and began doing a full color on me. I also got a hair cut from her and my hair looks so healthy and better than I had pictured it! She’s honestly amazing

I just went to Brilliance for the first time and saw Rachel Fiske based on great reviews I read here. I was VERY impressed with her work. She truly is a color specialist and did EXACTLY what I wanted. It turned out beautifully. Needless to say, I’ll be driving 4 hours from Walla Walla anytime I want my hair done. She is the best hairstylist I’ve ever had.

I just love going to Marcy! She colors my hair just how I want it and helps me always make sure my hair stays healthy! I would definitely recommend!

I am so happy here! A few months back I was new to the Portland/​Gresham area and when I looked up salons this place seemed really awesome. I now go to heather for all of my hair needs, she is just fantastic! She always listens to what I want and I have the best results everytime, she’s very personable and it’s a nice visit. I also go to Lori Anderson upstairs for my brows and let me just saw she has transformed mine! She really puts in the time to make sure they’re exactly how I want, and they come out beautifully everytime. And for an occasional mani I see Desiree, she’s the best! I would recommend this salon to anyone. Love this place!

I just have to say thank you Unilocal community! I made an appointment with Heather based on your reviews and they did not disappoint! I made my appointment about a week ahead of time after having a minor hair crisis with color elsewhere. Heather was just amazing!!! She wasn’t rushed, and she genuinely listened to what I was trying to do with my hair. I showed her some pictures of haircuts that I was interested in and she candidly told me how she could make certain styles work for me.
The results were nothing short of fabulous! She took my bleached yellow hair and turned it into a gorgeous multifaceted blonde. And the cut is perfect to boot. What made my experience five stars is that not only did she go over caring for my new hair color, but she showed me how to style it in detail. I am happy to say that I have found my new hair stylist!
Great personality, talent, and genuine interest in what you want for your hair. It doesn’t get better than that!

I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and decided I wanted to donate my hair to a charity that makes free human hair wigs for children with hair loss. I had never been to Brilliance Salon & Day Spa, but walk by it all the time so decided I’d give it a shot. I walked in with no appointment and was told they could get me in with Alicia about 20 minutes from when I walked in. Great! I decided to just wait there since it wasn’t that long of a wait. Alicia finally showed up almost 10 minutes late. When I told her I was starting chemo in a few days and wanted to donate it, she proceded to argue with me about whether or not I could donate it since it has been colored in the past (but not recently). I explained I had done my research and they would take it so she went ahead and tied it up to cut for donation. Come on… don’t argue with a woman who has just been diagnosed with a disease with a treatment that will take her hair! She was very quiet and somewhat unfriendly for the remainder of the cut. When I told her I figured that if I couldn’t use my hair (since I’ll be losing it to chemo in a couple of weeks) then someone else should be able to use it, she made some stupid comment about how «yeah…I have extensions and I use them». REALLY??? I’m not donating them for self absorbed people like you to have extensions!!! She never even stood in front of me to check to see that both sides were the same length. I had to tell her that one side was longer than the other and have her fix it. All in all, not a very pleasant experience to top off an already really bad week!!!

We moved to the area a little over a year ago and I was nervous about finding a new salon. We were referred by a friend to Heather Navarro and she did not disappoint. Every time we go she remembers personal things that are happening in our life i.e.: trips, work stuff etc. She does an amazing job on my hair and also knows when to suggest something a little different to liven it up. I have never had a bad experience and appreciate that she really listens.

Courteous staff, clean and well maintained! Heather Navarro cut my hair and did a fantastic job. I’m a new customer, and was a little nervous because I’d had the same stylist for almost 20 years. She listened to my description and quickly delivered and beautiful haircut that was exactly what I wanted.

Have not had my hair done here recently but upstairs is the massage and nail space. Jamie is the MASSEUSE and she is wonderful! She attentive, makes sure you’re comfortable, and does a great job of working out the kinks!

Great salon. Everyone there is friendly. Kate has done an amazing job on my hair for at least ten years! I always get a ton of compliments, even from strangers! Thank you, Kate!

Rachel Fiske is the best at coloring! Anyone and everyone should see her if you need that done. The service at the salon is really great. A very clean and respectable place, also their coffee is super Yummy!

Nikki is an artist!!! I love my hair!
I’ve been seeing Nikki now for about 8 months, she knows my hair better than I do and always gives me a great cut. I finally let her color my hair because I wanted the grey to blend and not make me look so old. She highlighted and low lighted my hair about a month ago and I still get excited to look in the mirror. I look much younger. THANK YOU NIKKI!!! You are not only sweet, kind and friendly, you are the best stylist that I have found in my 50 years.

I cannot rave enough about how awesome my hair turned out! Sharon knew exactly what I was talking about when I told her what I wanted. She did a beautiful job with the color AND the cut! Seriously, this woman knows hair and knows COLOR! I have gone to other stylists/​salons in the past asking for the same color and it always turned out copper or brown. Not today! Today I explained to Sharon what I wanted and she gave me exactly that! It’s the best hair color I’ve had in years!

I’ve been going to Brilliance since 2006. I see stylist Meagan, who is a color specialist. She always does an excellent job with my hair and is very reasonably priced. She is friendly and personable and I never have to worry about my hair turning out badly. I love Meagan!

If you are in Gresham or not, Brilliance is a great choice. I’ve been going here since middle school (I’m 23) and Kate is amazing. I always get foil highlights and a cut and she does an awesome job!
While Kate was on maternity leave I went to see Heather twice. The first time to ombré my newly boxed-​dyed brunette look that I was getting sick of, and it looked amazing! I went in the second time to slowly go blonde again, and again she did a great job. Love the ladies here!

I just moved to the area and was so nervous to find a new stylist as I have had horrible experiences in the past. After reading great reviews for Brilliance Salon I decided to schedule an appointment with stylist Heather. She is fabulous! Not only is she a joy to work with, she did exactly what I asked for with my haircut and foil. I left VERY happy with what she did. I would recommend Heather and this salon to anyone looking for a stylist who actually listens to what the client wants. Go Heather!

I really liked this place for a while. However, the last two times I came for some relaxation, it was very loud. Wasted my money on a massage that kept being interrupted by loud outbursts at the nail tables which are on other side of wall. The MT is really good but they need a quieter spot for her.

Love, love, love Rachel Fiske, she is a magician with cut and color! Love my stylist after a move from NYC and sub par Portland service excited to have found Rachel. The appointment times are flexible, easily made online and the customer service is great.
